    This video is my source of inspiration this year! I am absolutely thrilled to have the singing pumpkins join us. I had never seen them before! Please, where did you get the poster for the singing pumpkins? Did you make it yourself? Thanks for this video!!! You're amazing

      Thanks, Cassandra! Yes, I made it myself. I used the logo from the Singing Pumpkins website, and put it together in photoshop, then printed on a large format photo printer (Staples or an online service can help with this).
      The stand is just a generic Halloween sign I got at Michaels a couple years ago. I cut the print-out to size, placed it in the frame of the sign, and had a piece of plexi-glass cut to fit in the sign’s frame.

    What projectors do you recommend for all these scenes? I’m struggling to find a cheaper one that’s decent.

    • @mapotter99
      @mapotter99  2 года назад +2

      It depends on how much space you have, and where the projector needs to be placed.
      I use two Vankyo V630’s… one for the upstairs window, and one for the front door. These are relatively cheap, and are the closest to what one may call a “normal” projector.
      I use two AAXA P7’s… one for Leota’s face, and one for the pumpkins. These needed to be small, and be able to sit relatively close to their projection surfaces, though the Vankyos would probably work fine as well.
      I use an Optoma GT1080HDR short throw projector for the porch, since my porch is only 4 feet wide, and the projector needs to be behind the Hollusion fabric to avoid pass through projections on the wall behind.
      Your mileage may vary depending on your own setup and variables.

      Thanks! Do you have a video on how you did the pop up ghost behind the gravestone? I’m interested to see how you did that. That’s my favorite and always scared me as a kid.

      I followed Jasper Anderson’s tutorial for the actual head…
      ruclips.net/video/RltE_5aywC8/видео.html
      The mechanism is actually Spirit Halloween’s Bag-O-Bones animatronic stripped back to just the mechanism. I mounted the head to the mechanism with PVC pipe parts.
      Many people use pneumatics for this type of effect, which requires air lines and compressors. I wanted a purely electrical option which is why I went with the Spirit prop.

      @@mapotter99 how did you sync it with the haunted mansion “boo” sound? Qlab?

    • @mapotter99
      @mapotter99  2 года назад +2

      @@the.schumanshow I used a FrightProps PicoBoo MP3 prop controller. It plugs into the footpad input of the Spirit prop. I used my own PIR motion sensor, and programmed the PicoBoo to also output to the blacklight strips on the back, and to cycle through each of the 5 different pop-up sounds from HM.

      Disney Parks/Art of Disney used to sell it. I’m not sure if they still do.
      I made the letters and eyes glow by painting them with Invisible Clear black light paint (invisible blue in this case) from Wildfire Lighting.

      My pumpkins use projections from thesingingpumpkin.com.
      AtmosFX also has their own version called Jack-O-Lantern Jamboree.
      Tips and links to all products used are in the description of this video.

      In this video from 2021, I used 4. The pumpkins and Leota use an AAXA P7. The porch uses an Optoma Short Throw. The bedroom window uses a Vankyo V630.
      As of this year, I am also using another Vankyo V630 for the door ghosts.

    Did you edit Leota’s video? Or do you have a link to the one you used. The current one I’m using doesn’t have her sound effects, just the dialogue. Your display looks fantastic! I’d like to try and update mine before the weekend, thanks!

      I found the video on RUclips, and cleaned it up with Topaz AI software. I also made a two hour loop to avoid stutters after each 1 minute loop.
