Never worked on american muscle, but did build a SVT focus.have: For the stang, I'm looking at comp cams, outlaw axle back, 410 gearing for the rear, possible diff swap. But my main question is, do I need long tubes to get that raspy lobe idol or will the cams and exhaust mix suffice?? Oh and I have the cold air intake installed already (air raid)
I’d definitely recommend long tubes with the cams. It really wakes up the car and sounds even crazier. The 4.10 gears are a great choice too. Good luck man it’s a ton of fun.
For your headers did you do long tubes or shortys? I have shorty bbk and im wondering if I get a different H back ill get a louder lope tone. I like my rumble right now, still think it could be a tad louder. Also, a cat delete possibly, but I live in Cali. Sooo fk me right.
I had long tubes and an H pipe and I was super deep sounding. The x pipe will be a tad louder and give you a small bit more power than an H pipe but the deeper sound is worth it to me.

I’ve always used AmericanMuscle.com and they have been great to me. I found my headers and h pipe on ebay funny enough though and they never gave me issues.
Going to instal long tubs and cams, when you go about it, I have to get a tube for each of them, but I also want a performance tune, basically I’m wondering if I can install all 3 at once and how to go about juggling the tunes
If I were you I’d install all the mods at once and then get a tune once to save you money. Otherwise you would have to pay for a tune each time you mod it.
Looking at getting the SLP's. I have the same setuo as you except a knockoff axel back and its too quiet. Is this setup stupid loud? I like it loud but there is a limit to the madness
The gen5 tails are the best visual upgrade for these cars. Have the same ones on my 05. Unfortunately it's a V6 but I'm thinking about making it a sleeper
If you havnt done anything yet, Maddox makes a manifold and such so you can put a m80 eaton supercharger on that 4l v6. They make good power, very torquey, rev happy motors

You both have off road h pipe, slp loud mouth, long tubes, and ford hot rod cams. I would have thought that you have an x pipe or a different axle back with that exhaust note.
IMO it does sound very similar but I can hear what you mean about the difference. It might be because of the material of the headers he has stainless steel and I just had some cheap eBay headers that would have eventually rusted through. If I were you I’d make sure to go with a nice quality set of pipes

This setup was extremely loud. I loved every second of hearing it but it definitely shook the ground lol

There was a small improvement with the cams before the headers. After I paired the cams with headers I really picked up some more power.
What tuner did u get or is a bama good enough for 06 gt s/c
I use the SCT X4 to flash the car but I’m tuned by Lito. He’s great, definitely recommend him to anyone with a 3v

Lito will send the the files and programs to data log yourself. All you need is a laptop and he will send the tunes for you to flash on your car.

Nope. These cams are perfect the way they come. An intake and headers will give you the most performance gains though.
Update: my car might be totaled, lmao. Someone hit me hard on my fender, still waiting on the persons insurance to see if they can fix it.
