  • Today I go over this absolutely pumper of a Warlock Build as well as covering my latest logs from the most recent BFD me and the guild ran!
    I think this is the build I'll be rocking until phase 2 of SOD since it's flexible and can be used as a DPS spec as well since all that needs to be done is switch the glove rune to Haunt.
    I hope you enjoyed and found this interesting!

    thanks for sharing all of this info! Gonna try out this build tonight. I am curious what consumables you typically run for raid?

    Good idea to pick up the WSG neck. Yeah Agi isn’t great but it also has Stam and it’s better than nothing.
    Also, don’t sleep on the epic boots on use effect. The threat drop isn’t huge since we should have a massive lead and 30% DR even for 6 seconds is big on fights like Kelris phase 2 when damage reduction actually matters.

    Been raiding deep destro and was doing pretty good but will try the improved imp

      I hear the deep Destro is nice since you don't have to worry about DoT's except MAYBE Curse of Agony.

    With incinerate are you the main tank? During the cast you have no dodge or mitigation. Do you find that you’re taking more dmg? Pumper healers maybe? Or am I just wrong?

    • @LeTempy-1997
      @LeTempy-1997  7 месяцев назад +1

      No I am off-tanking until it's time for me to taunt so the main tank can remove stacks of specific boss debuffs that start chunking them. When I'm tanking I just take that time to refresh DoT's that are low (except corruption, let that fall off) and start using Searing Pain but as soon as the main tank gets aggro back I switch back to Incinerate.

      Warlock only has 5%ish dodge/miss and no parry/block so during a cast you cant dodge and only mitigate dmg thru armor. So not losing very much dmg reduction, tho getting hit can cause spell cast pushback. Using a firepower elixir helps alot +10 sp.

    Hey I’m a new 25 meta warlock, new to tanking in raiding too. Do meta locks generally run as off tank for BFD?

    I've been raiding BFD as lock tank for a few raids now and I can tell you right now, Destro is not the play. The warlock tank gear from the raid is specifically tailored for affliction.

      I agree. I haven't done full destro yet but tbh I don't really want to. I'm pretty happy with this build here.

    you still need the hit my guy, need 6% hit at 25.

    • @LeTempy-1997
      @LeTempy-1997  7 месяцев назад +1

      Incorrect. Mobs are only lvl 27 in BFD. You have a 1% chance to miss regardless of your bonus hit % so you only need 5% since against level 27 mobs its a 94% chance to hit.

      Not sure then. Says I'm 115 yet my name isn't there. Started looking at individual bosses and Baron says I'm at 40 yet when I look it's at 49?
      So clearly there's something I'm not understanding.

      I also don't use incinerate other than just to buff in beginning and once and awhile to reapply the buff, I use a standard build 5/5 corruption 5/5drain life 1 suppression 3/3 imp

  • @livb4139

    Why not succubus? Does more damage than imp

    • @LeTempy-1997
      @LeTempy-1997  6 месяцев назад

      Imp provides bulk and makes you do more with incinerate/immolate. Imp does good damage as well where as succ is just a tad more damage from the pet

    • @Nimoot
      @Nimoot 6 месяцев назад

      @@LeTempy-1997 Where does it list that it buffs your Immolate/Incinerate damage on the Improved Imp Talent? Those points likely are best suited elsewhere and let the Succubus/Incubus Go Ham on the Boss.

    • @LeTempy-1997
      @LeTempy-1997  6 месяцев назад

      @Nimoot no. Incinerate makes you do more fire damage. Which is half the spells warlocks have currently. Literally why use succ when all it provides is a little more damage than the improved imp demon?

  • @Kimdoy86

      Is this the norm for warlock? I did my first bfd last night with guild and no matter what the pally had aggro of everything. Single target I can take the boss but if there is multiple I can’t aggro anything unless I taunt it off the pally. Idk maybe I don’t get the rotation it still feels weird to me.

    • @Kimdoy86
      @Kimdoy86 7 месяцев назад

      @@imsippingmudlike4777It really depends on your group. If your group dps is strong enough most tank mechanics can essentially be omitted thus only needing 1 tank. Even if the group dps isn't as high, most bosses can be solo tanked.

    • @LeTempy-1997
      @LeTempy-1997  7 месяцев назад

      Unless your group is specifically letting you main tank then no you'll only hold aggro when they need you to. It's not impossible for us to hold aggro but in most situations a paladin will. They kinda run things at the current stage of the game.@@imsippingmudlike4777

    Honestly I find 3/3 Improved Imp is just a waste time for Meta tank.
    The additional stam from blood pact is negligible.
    Most have a Druid in raid so Thorns overwrites Imp shield
    You do NOT gain additional threat as per/minion Threat is attributed to the pet, Not the Warlock themselves.

    Yea these are 100% off tank builds. Not main tank. You dont run Inc because your push back is less dps then if you Searing pain spammed. On top of that 30%and crit is up 25%+ of the time is amazing for tanking. Searing pains instant crit establishing good threat right off the bat with demonic grace. And You always want to priorities Stam and armor over anything to save mana on heals until later phases. Youre just a tanky dps with this build. Like a ret paladin with Righteous fury on.

    • @LeTempy-1997
      @LeTempy-1997  7 месяцев назад

      Yeah currently Paladins and Shamans run the main tank role but maintanking as a lock isn't impossible by any means. Searing pains are most definitely useful for snap threat.

      We run with a warrior and lock running this spec does absolutely fine. He can main tank just fine, especially with me as ref able to bubble off stacks on the last boss for them. If the content was a little harder, I would agree.
