  • Thank you to those who have asked us to share more about the home of the Friesians, Greenbank Farm.
Tamara has asked me to upload this wonderful video she's put together about the work taking place on the main farmhouse over the next two weeks.
This has been years in planning and thanks to the generosity of one of the Friends of Greenbank these essential repairs are now taking place to help prevent further deterioration of this stunning, historic property.

The Farmhouse will be restored to its' former glory and the process, from Tamara's comments, will preserve it for many years to come to stand proud on the hill overlooking that stunning countryside where the black beauties graze xxx❤

So glad the horses got by before the wind ruffled and rippled the green tarp!
    Nice job, Tamara!

Hello Tamara. Much needed big work to preserve your beautiful home. Some collateral damage on your lawn that will be easily repaired until next Spring . Thank you for your pictures and comments , your courageous climb UP the scaffolding 👍 💕. to check by yourself the damages in need of repair on the roof. Tracey told us that she preferred (when possible 🤔). to call on local craftsmen, undoubtedly an excellent opportunity and a pledge of a good work by involving them in the preservation of Lake District and CUmbrian heritage 👏 .. my Daddy Always Saïd '' keep an attentive eye on the job your have ordered is the best way to prevent '' any eventual misunderstanding'' 🥴 😰..

Thank you, Tamara for sharing the house renovations with us. Your videos are always informative and interesting.
That beautiful, historic farm house overlooks an equally beautiful piece of land that you all are endeavoring to preserve. It's all in a lovely part of the world. As has been said before, it is a piece of heaven.
You are definitely a braver person than me - no way in h-ll would I have gone up on that scaffolding!

Terrific update, Tamara! 👏🏻💖 How wonderful having a Greenbank friend step up to make this important restoration and preservation work possible. ❤Weather SO not helpful in expediting this project, but I’m sure the vendors are well schooled at managing that reality. Really hoping the wisteria comes out no worse for wear-one of my favorites-and that rose bush is a stunner! What a sweet gesture, wearing grandfather’s shorts, keeping his memory close. 🙏🏼🥰 Do be careful on that scaffolding! 😬🤞🏻💖

I know it's annoying Tamara but you will soon get that grass back into shape, once the lorries have finished coming up and down. Like everywhere else on the farm, I cannot wait to see it when it's done. You had a fantastic view from up the scaffolding. Very brave climbing that. ❤

I was gonna ask if there was a separate GoFundMe for the farmhouse and renovations needed to that and the Shippon - outside of the horses needs. That farm house is your Air BNB and a lifeline for you all. Like the farm buildings, this needs to be preserved too.

Ha, Tamara, I thought you were Tracey for a little bit. Well, why not, you’re sisters! BE CAREFUL on the scaffolding!!! You need a spotter or a big blowup thingy that’ll catch you! 😁😬
Oh my, those big black pearls are afraid of the green tarp. Always a sight to behold watching Tracey and Jodi riding the most beautiful horses in the world. It’s so sweet that the ones being ridden help take the others for a walk. Bet they enjoy it! Aww, sweet story of the lovely young lady wearing her grandpa’s (?) clothing to remember and be close to him.
Your home is built nicely against the hill. And the greenery all around is divine.
