  • I interview my friend Pat, a British man who left England years ago to live in Vietnam. We discuss why he made the move, what he likes and dislikes about Vietnam, living in Saigon vs. Hanoi, what he does for a living, and what his plans are for the future.
    This video is filmed in Mui Ne, Binh Thuan, Vietnam.
    Thanks for watching! I hope you enjoyed this interview.

    Another good interview from Tyler. I loved the comparison between Saigon and Hanoi and also the mentions of other places like Hoi An. I also liked that he called out the arrogant English tourists. I never take the convenience of being a native English speaker for granted and when I go to another country I never forget I am a guest on their turf.

    Definitely should do this more often. Interviewing folks from outside Vietnam to get their point of view...The good and the bad. I just subscribed. Before i just watched a few clips then moved on. But this time..its interesting.

    I enjoyed the video but next time you should ask your fellow Expats to show off some of their Vietnamese skills...that will help others a lot who is looking to move abroad or to Vietnam 🇻🇳 that if you guys can do it, so can many others. Also it a way of fitting in and growing with the culture. Good interview

    Why would anyone want to leave Vietnam and move to Eastern Europe?

    • @ChrissieSM
      @ChrissieSM 4 месяца назад

      Yes, I was wondering that, especially Romania. I have friends who have been there and they did not have many positive views. Hey, but each to their own.

      Hello and thanks for your question.
      The first reason is that it will be much easier to see my family regularly from Europe than Vietnam.
      Secondly, I hope to have kids some day, and personally I don't think it would be ideal to raise them as "Third Culture Kids". I've met people who were born and raised in Vietnam to European parents, and they all mentioned not feeling like they were from anywhere.
      And also, lots of places in Eastern Europe are very nice. The weather maybe not so much, granted!
