    I went to a hormonal clinic and got a blood test done. My total testosterone was 267 at 33 years old, which was embarrassing. They tried to prescribe me with TRT and ozempic, but I kindly declined and decided to naturally lose this belly fat (I'm 260lbs at 5'11), fast, lift weights, walk 10k steps, stop drinking and eat high protein

      Nice. Mine was around 303, at 37. Not super great. A little overweight and not completely sedentary, around 21- 22% body fat. But I have terrible sleeping habits: I go to bed too late, sleep too little and when I took this blood test I had a somewhat bad insomnia: I coud go 48h ou 72 withoup sleep and that felt terrible.
      So my point is ... dont forget to sleep well ! I didnt see sleeping being mentioned in the video but its also important

    I want to add this for men new to HRT/TRT, those that are older and actually need it. Make it a priority to get in the gym for resistance training, and most importantly, do LISS cardio daily to drop your body fat to the point where and AI is not needed or rarely needed. I creep TRT boards, and estrogen management is a huge issue and it is directly related to how much fat most middle aged men carry.
    For example. I was just shy of 300 pounds (6'4") when I started TRT 2 1/2 years ago. I needed 1mg Adex a week to keep my E2 in check. I am now 255lbs with visible abs at 52.years old and I no longer need to take my AI. Dose of testosterone hasn't changed, but my diet and body have. One of the best decisions of my life was to get my hormones and health in order.

      If you don't mind sharing, your total T or free T level went from what number to what number this year? Of course losing bodyfat and increasing muscle mass had an effect, too, not just the TRT.
      I understand the key thing when it comes to estrogen in men is the T to E2 ratio, right? The higher your T levels, the higher (within reason) your E2 levels can be.
      Anyhow, thanks for sharing.

  • @richieheetebrij8189

    Testosterone increases insulin sensitivity, likely a big reason why trt works as a therapeutic to all the symptoms of metabolic syndrome, but not a cure. Mike is right, the answer was right under everyone’s nose. Loose the weight and the Test will rise and help to get the fuel into the cell.
    Now loosing the weight maybe easier said than done because of a fatty liver or just your fat cell being so toxic the body is reluctant to utilize it. Another video is required to tie up some loose ends.
    Thanks, Richie

Mike who went on a hike before the stream, then wanted to share huge amount of enthusiasm for the topic of hormones before getting ready to spend more time with his family. Not easy to balance all of that on a Sunday night. There's a difference between shrieking and Mike speaking loudly to get an important point across about TRT.

      It's more than a life sentence putting you on life support. It also shrinks your testicles and natural T production. Truly a downward spiral. A rotten deal with the devil, if ever I saw one. I find it so odd that I see gradually more and more men in their 30s and 40s openly admit to being on TRT, nearly wielding it as a badge of honour on the outside of their sleeve now... It amazes me. Don't even get me started on the ever increasing steroid abuse... That's growing on trees now.
      I've tried to have both high and low T, due to prolonged insomnia that brought me to my knees, and low T is devastating, but my recovery taught me that the body can bounce back very strongly when it recovers naturally from whatever the root cause is. A happy ending to the otheriwse miserable story.

    • @lostieaddict
      @lostieaddict 10 месяцев назад +1

       @RockandRootsEnduro I believe the first step is believing that seizures can be healed naturally, especially because pharmaceutical medications for seizures can lower a person’s threshold to cope with seizures over time. People suffering epilepsy have:
      1. A ROOT CAUSE for their seizures. Finding The Root Cause is the most important aspect for healing seizures.
      Identifying root cause means identifying your triggers. Primary triggers are: blood sugar imbalances, light, sounds, hormonal fluctuations, emotional stressors, physical injuries to the head, but primarily blood sugar imbalances, as blood sugar and hormones go hand in hand.
      2. RAISING YOUR SEIZURE THRESHOLD: Every human has a certain threshold for preventing seizures, some people’s threshold is higher and stronger, people with chronic epilepsy have a low threshold. When the threshold is lowered, seizures are more easily triggered. Many things lower the seizure threshold, primarily: lack of sleep, withdrawal from drugs including anti-epileptic medications, estrogen imbalances, and lack of sleep.
      The seizure threshold can be raised, especially depending on the person suffering from seizures. This can also vary depending on if the person with epilepsy is male or female. If the person suffering is female, there is a great chance that she has Catamenial Epilepsy. However in both male and female cases, raising the seizure threshold mainly depends on hormonal health. For example, a hormone called progesterone is a hormone which has been shown to be neuro-protective in males and females, thus the roles of hormones for neurological illness should not be ignored.

    • @lostieaddict
      @lostieaddict 10 месяцев назад

      @@RockandRootsEnduro Supplements that significantly prevented my seizures:
      1. Daily supplements for Mitochondrial Dysfunction:
      1. Alpha Lipoic Acid (300 to 600 mg)
      2. Acetyl L Carnitine (500 mg)
      3. NADH (10 mg) (can be paired with Glycine in the morning for added benefits)
      4. CoQ10 (Ubiquinone), (Liquid version if possible)
      2. Daily support for Neurological health:
      1. 400 - 1,200 mg of Magnesium Glycinate (the most beneficial version for me is “UltraMag”, it is a complex form of magnesium, also paired with Vitamin b6 for extra neurological benefits) (another fantastic brand is Innate Vitality Magnesium Glycinate). It is important to have at least 400mg in the evening. 80% of the US population is deficient.
      2. Berberine 400 mg at the end of your last daily meal, ideal for epilepsy, as it is beneficial for epileptics to practice Time Restricted Feeding (as opposed than Intermittent Fasting). The difference between TRF and IF is that:
      TRF stresses the importance of metabolic flexibility through eating breakfast and supporting circadian rhythms. Alternatively, Intermittent Fasting or skipping breakfast does not address the importance of breakfast, blood sugar health, or heart rate “dips” that benefit from minimizing food at night, which is essential for good sleep)
      3. Two grams of Cod Liver and or Cod liver Oil daily, (or Krill Oil + Alaskan Salmon Oil): at the end of your last daily meal: Studies show that 2 grams of fish oil protect and saturate the areas of the brain that are scarred from seizures. 2-3 grams of fish oil (NOT more than 3 grams) are effective at improving sleep depth. 2 grams daily prevents permanent effects of Hippocampal Sclerosis, a major side effect of epilepsy that causes degenerative illness. Omega 3 fatty acids from high quality fish like Cod Liver are best. This is because Cod Liver contains Vitamin A, which regulates gluconeogenosis. When taken at night or with your last meal it, the Vitamin A from the cod liver will help prevent blood sugar drops or general disregulation which is a primary cause of seizures.
      4. Inulin: Check out “The Nemecheck Protocol” on RUclips for more information on Inulin. Dr Nemecheck studies epilepsy, dysautonomia, autism, and other inflammatory conditions related to neurological health. Dr Nemecheck has successfully treated people for epilepsy and autism through his research on and treatment with a prebiotic fiber called Inulin. Inulin supports health of nerves through the gut. The idea comes from the fact that there are more living bacteria in the human body than there are human cells, so if you heal the gut theoretically you can heal your human cells.
      5. A Keto”biotic” diet- Alternative to a standard keto diet which was created to cure epilepsy, “Ketobiotic” is a still a keto diet yet it prioritizes gut health more. Unlike the standard keto diet for epilepsy which is primarily oil and large servings of pure fat, with no fiber whatsoever, the “Ketobiotic” diet impacts beneficial neuroprotective hormones like progesterone and it prevent gut-disbiosis. It will repopulate the gut with the hormones it creates which a person with epilepsy needs. To learn more about Ketobiotic, check out Dr Mindy Pelz’s book: “Fast Like A Girl”

    People need to hear this. The solution/cure is quite often far simpler than People think. Pharmaceutical life-long intervention should be a last resort, and in probably most cases does not address the cause of the problem - this would only be the case if one's body is physiologically incapable of producing testosterone.
