@@malinadsouza4854 I don't think making more money will solve the problem. Because there is no definition of more money. How much is more? This planet has sufficient resources for everyone needs and but not for anybody's greed.
@@HarshvardhanPariharI got you. Saving he is good making money is good. But you should know where to stop. Having time to what you like and to earn for less with it and be satisfied is privilege. This can only happen if your previous generation has saved some money. So that they take care of their basic needs or health care. So that you can leave a life like the way you want. To work in job which you don't like just to survive is sick. Money gives the power to choose. I'm a mother I can't quit my job and stay with my child because we are not stable I have my parents and in laws to be taken care. If I quit now. My son will face more burden
If you are in the middle class bracket, it is tough. Children are lovely but expensive to raise. Plus surely you want them to have better life than you. In today’s age, parenthood doesn’t stop when they are 18/21. Most parents these days set their up for life ( buying them a house etc) in addition to school/college education. Plus vacations and experiences..
First important point they missed, every child must aware and feel satisfied for what they got.. it should be imbibed in their mind to feel satisfied for what they got and know value for each thing they use..it's very important
For any birthdays or celebrations, instead of accepting gifts, we put a donation box for a charity and strictly tell people to not buy gifts and instead contribute to a cause/charity we choose. It has taken a 3-5 years for people to finally accept and not buy gifts. Initially some people forcefully gifted. Now about 80% of attendees accept our wish and choose to donate. Gifting has its place but is also leading to a wasteful spending and poor quality toys being circulated. When going to other people's events, I buy them a charity voucher that they use to give to charity or split into charities of their choice. People have also started accepting that now. Look for charity giving options in your country.

I always shop for things like daily wear shoes or chappals and utensils, sabji etc from local market at our Village which is close to Mumbai. The prices there for same things are cheap and all local sellers get the money

Good initiative and talk but please make it more lively. You are very true about the cost but not everything has to be seen as a transactional value. We definitely need to be mindful but can't do calculation for every step in the life.
It’s not about our fertility being lower than Europeans. If anything, our fertility is still higher. Indian society is a lot more family centric. So if an Indian couple cannot conceive, they are under pressure to go for IVF. Western culture is a lot open to childfree people than Indian.
They do not work 9 to 9 like Indians do. The work hours and eating outside takes toll on Indian girls. And they get too tired and stressed to conceive.
Has the Caesarian rate increased because of the woman having complications during the birth or is it business by hospitals where the doc says there is lower chances of normal delivery ?? I think this should come out
Birthday celebrations and return gift system sucks...there is a lot of peer pressure among children when most of them do parties running into 20-30k. There is humungous pressure to do the same and invite others . And kids wanting to wear branded stuff😮

They're sharing their own experiences. Mostly upper middle class and upper class families will be able to relate to this. What's noteworthy here is how the general middle class wants the upper class life, get their kids into schools attended by kids of upper class families, and struggle to give their kids the same lifestyle. It resonated with me personally since I attended such a school, and I struggled emotionally since I felt I didn't belong- the host and guest did talk about the feeling of alienation.

Loved the way Madhavan and Radhika discussed. true wisdom of nuggets on parenting and child upbringing.

True
Bhaiya kids should not be kept in diaper for such long . After 2 there should be no or one diaper a day situation
Use cloth diaper

Education fees are main concern then external expenses parenting is really becoming a matter of concern for future generations

CEO Rejecting crocs because it costs 2-3k is just alarming 😮 i should be buying lidcap chappal for my salary
Strange but True that IVF is high in India and low in places like London and Europe. What are we eating that they don't
Nothing different...we are forced to believe that we can't conceive naturally...
