The condemnation of beards by the the top leaders of the WTS/JWS was created by the GB men who wanted their public sales representatives to look as pure and righteous in the public's eye , such as giving talks at assemblies and Kingdom Halls. Its in the same vein as these positioned men are to wear suits at these events. Grooming appearances is very important in the JWS religion with both men and woman. Men for example are not to have hair over their ears and when up on the podium they are to wear a suit and tie (No open collars) The pretense of spiritual righteousness is all over the JWS religion and gives the effect to create and sustain that illusion within its members. 😳 The real reason for this new change is of course the GB top dogs have realized the people participating in the organization has dropped dramatically in the last few years.

I am a former jw. I was born and raised in it and left when I was 18. It's very interesting to me that seemingly the US was more strict about it than Germany and Austria where I lived and live. It was said here that it separates the jw from other people to be shaved but it was never said that it was strictly forbidden. I saw men having beard, but always taken good care of it. The reasons for being allowed to wear a beard was that in jesus` times men wore beards aswell. Really interesting and funny to me.
I've recently dealt with the Watch Tower Society today and speaking of farting I let a fart which really stunk quite a bad not long after they left and I joked to myself that I really wish I could have let that fart out when they were standing next to me at the door because it possibly would have them a reason to want to leave much more quicker then they did.I also just got back from shopping for groceries when I've encountered them so what I did is that I just tried to be polite take there pamplet and acted like I was busy taking in groceries so that I wouldn't have to deal with getting into a long lengthy conversation with them.They actually asked me whether I wanted there help taking in my groceries most likely just so they can have an excuse to get into a conversation with me and make me feel indebted to them however I pretty much told them that I didn't need help in order to get them off my back and also I already had other people helping me at the time.Normally what I do when I encounter the Watch tower society on the streat is that I just try to be polite take there pamplet and just act like I am busy and that I don't really have time for them which is pretty much what I got away with doing today.I don't think that the men I've encountered from Watchtower had beards but it was certainly an unexpected encounter for me when getting back from shopping for groceries.

Over the years she has said some things that made me wonder why don’t you know that? ( for example “ why is the moon full sometimes but not all the time?”) She doesn’t get things and even if she’s shown proof of something she repeats what she’s told by the watchtower as if its gold. I’m trying to reach her and watching as many videos as I can to learn. This video is a huge eye opener!

I knew two JW elders when I was a kid in the 80's/90's who had beards. I used to rock long sideburns and soul patch and nobody batted an eyelid.
