Have been searching for videos to explain this whole Menstrual cycle and yours is by FAR the BEST - so easy to understand/ incredibly informative and so helpful it's animated (the others just skip steps/ too complex) - thank you, thank you!! :)
This video made me understand this in just 2 mins what our teacher couldn't explain in 2 hours. Now the whole cycle is imprinted in my brain. 😅 Outstanding animation, hats off to the creator for making such amazing content ❤😊👏🏻 Keep making more of these as they're so helpful 😀 Lots of love from students like me 💗😁
The good explanations can be found anywhere, but seldom does a student stumble upon such an effectively designed animation, which is enough in itself to have the cycle embedded in our memory. Hats off to the creators. Your effort is appreciated greatly!
OMG. It's amazing that you spent merely two and a half minutes to explain all the contents in a 2-hour lecture. I don't even need to look at the text to explain the hormonal changes during the whole cycle simply just because I watched this!
Very true! I'm currently going through it atm, and she forgot to mention the breaking down of the lining for the first 24-48 hours causes the uterus to contract, creating very painful cramps, similar to pregnancy contractions, so even though having a period every month means we women are healthy, it can be HELL 😣
thank you so much its so informative and i understand instantly, m thinking why lecturers during my days don't show us videos like this, they just kept explaining to us and we students still cannot understand well...
so basically this happens because the inside assumes an egg may start growing but when it doesn't that protective layer is shed so a new one can start again otherwise it's used to protect the growing egg that becomes a baby
I love your videos I will be using to help my client understand their Moon cycle and how they can use herbs and vitamins to help with abonorma issues that arise during their cycle.
In Turkey this topic is educate in The high school and it was so complicated when i listen to teacher but with this animation everything look simplier right now tysmmm
Good question. I've never really thought about that. I assume through lots of bloodwork (keep tracking of the rise and fall of hormones) + they already knew - out of experience - that there was a cycle that repeated itself every +- 28 days.
@@dr.paulinemoyaert Gotcha. That makes sense. I just wish we knew the names of the people who worked to figure it out because, obviously, it's very important and they deserve credit. Cheers, doctor.

Hi there, this is incredible, could I please use this video on a course I run about stress regulation for females? I will of course credit you, It's a fantastic explanation.
Thanks for posting this!!! I have a silly question. Could the luteinizing hormone (that pops open the egg by softening the membrane) also be the hormone that softens the hip joints right before giving birth? And that being said, could it theoretically cause a hernia in the spinal cord?
This is not a silly question at all. Yes, LH has a certain role in associated with softening pelvic tissues during pregnancy (I'm not sure if it softens the hip joints specifically). As far as I know, LH cannot be directly responsible for causing hernias in the spinal cord.

@@darkfiregames3794 Because the fallopian tubes aren't responsible for your period. She still has everything she needs to have a period (hormones, uterus, ovaries).
Only one ovulation can happen per cycle. You can, however, ovulate two (or more) eggs at the same time. When this happens, there is the potential to conceive fraternal (non-identical) twins if both eggs are fertilized. Having two separate eggs released at different times within the same cycle doesn't happen.
