    I'm trying to turn one penny into £1,000 with the power of woodworking! It's taking a long time, very difficult and (I think) entertaining to watch me suffer. If you liked this video then check it out here: ruclips.net/p/PLsGhK9mo4fwlpqm1vodORGz0PTyT3dPr7
    I also reviewed the Titan Drill Press, another great tool for beginners. You can watch it here: ruclips.net/video/HZAEjARpW_I/видео.html

    GREAT vid. I REALLY regret impulse buying Parkside table saw last Nov as I haven't even touched it yet. Wish I kept that money for this instead. DOH!
    Thx for the review!

    Looks like decent entry level bandsaw. Have u looked at the einhell one it seems pretty good for price aswell. I dont have one yet but am considering this now. Not that it makes difference but was this a sponsored video or did u buy it?? And would u honestly recommend it with the addition of an upgrade on the blade?? 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

      Hi Michael, this wasn’t sponsored but I was given this saw to review. That being said, I don’t let gifted tools cloud my final recommendations. I’ve just ordered a couple of blades from TuffSaws and hoping that will make this a much more usable saw. I’m going to make a short video covering swapping the blade and whether they improve the weaknesses I point out here. It’s certainly a lot better than the car-boot bandsaw I’ve been using for years!

    Hi Buddy why wouldn't you typically recommend re sawing on a bandsaw? Not sure if you are aware but bandsaws are specifically designed for that purpose.
    I'd 100% expect to receive a fence and push stick as well even at that price and so should everyone else.

      I more meant that I would usually make long rip cuts on my table saw. But if you wanted to use this for resawing then you’ll want to upgrade the blade 😁

      @@sumeraybuilds hi mate re sawing is reducing the thickness of the material into thinner boards whilst a rip cut is carried out on the table saw to reducing the width of a board generally along the grain. What you where doing was re sawing lol 😆 confused yet 😅

    • @karlpopewoodcraft
      @karlpopewoodcraft 7 месяцев назад +1

      Ps ye definitely need a wider blade with 3 to 6tpi depending on the material.

      Useful to know, I’ll make sure to pick one up! What brand do you recommend?

      Tuffsaws do the best blades in the uk and are super helpful mate

    best bandsaws for the money are the workshop range from axminster.. they more expensive but you get ALOT of saw for the money and alot of quality..you also got access to their blade range which to be frank blows anyone out the water when it comes to cutting speed and quality of cuts

      I have heard good things about Axminster. I don't plan on using a bandsaw too much so I think this one with upgraded blades will be great. I will be testing the new blades soon and uploading the results for those that are interetsed.

    I've found it almost impossible to get a straight cut on this with the standard blade. A bandsaw should be able to make rip cuts that are straight. Otherwise the bandsaw is still very useful for cutting curves into wood that isn't too thick.
    This video has motivated me to order a 1575mm 1/2" blade with 6 TPI for it from thebandsawshop so I'll see if that works. I hate using the table saw so resawing on the bandsaw is my preference.- update it's still shite, i don't see how this machine can cut straight. If you can get yours setup so it will rip a 63mm deep CLS without it drifting everywhere then please share how you did that

      I've got new blades sat in my shed waiting to be installed. I'm planning to swap them out (and film it) this week.
      I'm hoping this addresses the drifting issue but your comment hasn't filled me with confidence!

    • @AshleyMillsTube
      @AshleyMillsTube 5 месяцев назад

      @@sumeraybuilds looking forward to seeing how you get on! I think the 1/2 inch blade is too big, there's hardly any room for adjustment which might also be part of the issue. I think the 3/8" is probably the biggest it can get away with.

    • @AshleyMillsTube
      @AshleyMillsTube 5 месяцев назад

      @@sumeraybuilds I ordered a 3/8" blade also to see if that works better. I think the 1/2" is just too big to get any adjustment

  • @Migman2020

    also the reason you getting a blade drift is two reasons.. one you feeding it too hard with the wrong tpi.. two the blade is not actually square to the fence. a properly calibrated bandsaw can cut a 0.5mm sheet of wood of timber 400mm long if required bud

    • @sumeraybuilds
      @sumeraybuilds  7 месяцев назад

      I have just picked up some premium blades from TuffSaw and hoping that helps with the drift!

    • @Migman2020
      @Migman2020 7 месяцев назад

      you want to get a bandsaw buddy from axminster to check if the blade is running square to the fence and t slot. if its not square then even the cuts done on the mitre fence will be out of square. a bandsaw like that should be able to cut 0.20mm accuracy easily mate@@sumeraybuilds

      In the demo it looked like the work was not hard up against the fence the whole time. Operator error?

      If you look carefully at the video too you can see the bed has a bend in it but also the fence doesn't look squared(90 Deg) to the bed but it could be my old eyes too I guess
