This Filmmaker Mode problem can be addressed.
When Filmmaker Mode is toggled to ON... the Automatic light sensor ( in the Backlight menu) is also triggered to ON.... turn it off.

I love your settings and aim to get the sharpest lifelike picture these 4K UHD and above TVs have to offer. filmmaker and Movie mode robs the owner of the best picture. I agree 100% with you!

I only use Filmmaker Mode when watching older content (usually SD content) although ironically I turn on Super Resolution and Noise Reduction

Totally agree. And turning all motion smoothing off is stupid. 24p film doesn't have the lcd stutter look.
But you know what looks like 24fps film? 24fps with 120hz processing to multiply the frames in between.
Purist idiots will claim any motion processing gives 24p content a "soap opera effect", when in reality 24fps film doesn't have the stutter look you get on modern tvs.

I run my tv in SD mode and never in Filmmaker mode, I just tweaked Standard mode based on my preference, and that's it, Cinema mode, filmmaker mode and HDR is joke and nothing else

Depending on the model. Film maker mode is different. It will look great on some and terrible on others. I have a 55 inch Samsung Qn90b and it looks good. My friend has the Hisense 65u8k and it looks washed out.

i totally agree. I do a lot research everyone has the same answer choose filmmaker mode most accurate to d65 etc... I decide to try it out looks like crap dark pic you don't get the wow effect decide to try other mode night &day difference I paid a lot money to get vibrant colors, picture clarity everything the manufacture advertise if i want a dull picture just buy a $500 tv. thanks for this video most of them are brain washed.

Wow u were shocked too ? 😮 I think the Big 3 r so despite ! They Pay a lot of Money for RUclipsrs to Promote OLED by Intentionally Advertising ppl to make their Hisense look like Poo . So ppl would chose OLED instead .
They did d same trick in store trying to Force me to buy their LG! They wont let me Use their Remote to Switch Hisense TV in store OuT of -- Energy Saving Mode ! I kept asking d Guy for remote , d guy held d remote tight n out of blue he just sped walking away making sure ditching me .
Sales men hate Hisense , cuz it makes them Not selling their Mid range $1000-2000 TVs well 😮

Scorsese, Nolan, Cameron, Lee and a host of others approve of Filmaker mode and say its the way its intended to look. They create the movies and what do you do? I own an LG G2 Oled and my picture doesn't look washed out, You expect everything to look like anime and that's not the way it works. But congrats on being a rebel!
