      @Sw1shersplitter I know the post is old, but he said a 5 tire rotation. Which in theory would make tires last about 20% longer. Obviously in video he only does 4 tire rotation, thats why the spare was used as a base measurement.

      You can’t those tires are directional so you would only be able to put the spare on one side. And I mean you can put them on backwards the tire won’t explode but it doesn’t evacuate water as well backwards. And the tread wouldn’t match the other tire on that side which doesn’t really matter but just another point

    You are getting much better wear on yours than I am, on mine. I have one of their SUV sizes, the 247/65/17, that came with 16/32", of tread depth. After putting 9,200 miles on mine, I'm at 12/32", with one tire rotation and an alignment in the middle of that distance and the first alignment when they were put on but they see a lot of off road use. Still most of the actual millage comes from driving them to and from the trails. I do still love them though!

In fact, I used a tire pressure calculator, to determine my pressures, as the Mickey's have a higher load rating and am running 2-4psi lower. Also, my tread wear is even across the width of the tread, on all 4 tires. I also lower them even more, when I'm off=road.

    How do they do at highway speeds in the rain and puddles? My main concern with the K02’s is the lack of traction in the rain.

    • @everydaystaugustine
      @everydaystaugustine  Год назад +2

      On the interstate, they’re just fine. Because they’re a 12.50 in width, they do tend to hydroplane more than narrower tires on big puddles at high speed.

    I'd say that's not bad at all. I'm right at 40,000 on my 2018 3500 Ram with regular four tire rotations. Mine is the ATZ P3 in 34x11.5x20 and these have the 45,000 warranty according to Discount Tire where they were installed. I'm at exactly 5/32ths and intend to upgrade to the Baja Boss this summer and go with the 35x12.5x20. Would be nice to have a decent rear tire carrier for a fifth tire rotation but I'm happy with the stock rims for now.

    @everydaystaugustine. Could you go into a little more detail about on road wet traction/hydroplaning? what has been your experience? thanks

    • @everydaystaugustine
      @everydaystaugustine  10 месяцев назад +1

      I honestly think it's a direct result of 12.5" width tires rather than anything specific to the BB AT's. My wife's Sahara with stock tires handles like any other car on standing water however, the wider tires simply catch more water and hydroplane easier than narrower tires would. Just something to note if you're going from narrower to wider tires - you'll want to tap the brakes when you see standing water. This is mostly on the backroads where drainage isn't too great - interstate driving hasn't been an issue at all.

    • @williamlozano7394
      @williamlozano7394 15 дней назад

      @@everydaystaugustinethis is correct. Physically, the wider the tire the easier it is for water to get trapped under the tire. There’s also more surface area to disperse the weight of the vehicle, therefore making it harder for the tire to cut through the water.

    40,000 miles for about 6/32" of wear is about 6,660 miles per 1/32" of wear. If you wear it to 3/32, you should expect almost 100,000 miles in the entire life of the tire, unless you puncture them or tear off the sidewalls four wheeling. That's darn good wear.
    I'm down to about 8/32" on my Cooper AT3 XLT on my Ford F250 6.7 diesel FX4. I'm debating these at $429/tire or less expensive like Nitto Exo Grappler or General Grabber ATX.
