Bloom Where You’re Planted; Flourish Where You Belong
On that jeep, it doesn’t have amazing sound dampening. So I wonder how they would sound on a Ram Laramie?
I have the wildpeaks. I tried the Baja boss recently and will be switching. They are quieter! And they should perform better everywhere giving a slight edge to the wildpeaks in the wet. And while 3 dB might not seem like a lot, 3 dB is technically twice the energy since it’s logarithmic. Still, they are a quiet tire, especially considering how aggressive the tread is.
Excellent video and appreciate all the work that went into it. You really did an outstanding job showcasing the db variance between the two. Subbed’ 😊
Thank you! Appreciate the comments & the subscribe!
Just got mine….love it.
Got these tires on my mazda cx5, yah thats right on my mazda baby. They took a few tries to get balanced and still get unbalanced after the vehicle sits for a few days but goes back to being good after warming them up which i find unacceptable for a tire like this. Having said that i do like the sound they make. Just a nice little hum to let me know i got some good looking tires.
I have the baja boss's MT and 27k and they are awesome. But became Louder..... Thinking of the falken Wildpeak at4 35 11.50 17 for replacement
3 db is a 33% increase in sound. That's not too bad. You suggested they where louder when new?
Just guessing… will measure the sound fairly soon on a new set.
I have these on my Ranger. No road noise at all and no shakes at 75mph. Rotate and balance every 3k miles.
I loved my Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT tires on my JKR. I recently purchased an LJ and I wish that MT would make the Baja Boss in a 33 x10.50 15R.
Awesome Real World Review... thank you , you just confirmed my next tire purchase .
Thank you. Glad you found it useful! I’m right behind you in line for my next set.
Haahhaa , damn , that thing sounds GOOOOD
What style is that dragonfly tarp?
Haku.
I really enjoyed your video! I subscribed and your merch is very American! Keep up the great work and I look forward to your future videos. I am in Central Flroida and I drive a FX4 Expedition with Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs 33" I plan on getting the new Duratrac RT soon.
Thank you so much, Michael! Appreciate the compliment, you checking out the "merch", and watching the vid! Nice to have a fellow Floridian reach out to say "hi". Sounds like a great rig you've got - hope the Duratrac's treat you well!
Been keeping up with your updates as I am deciding if I should go with the Bajas or Wildpeaks. How has noise and overall driving comfort been after losing 44% of its thread depth?
The recording from inside the Jeep during the video should tell the whole story. No change to either (as best I can tell with the gradual change since 2021 - I would guess the reduced tread makes the noise somewhat less - but just speculative on my part). Overall, surprised how tolerable the 35x12.5’s are… not overly loud at all. Never had a realignment and driving comfort is same as 1st day driving them! Thanks for watching!
$100 rebate now until July
I'm running the same tire almost the same size on my Jeep ep and it's been about 40,000 mi and I 100% agree with your comments in this video. I daily drive my Jeep on the highway and the tires are not obnoxious and when I take it off-road it perform very well in New England trails
Thanks for the comment & glad to hear the tires are working as well for you. Mine are now at 51k and still some wear left to go! Very happy with the MT Baja Boss A/T’s!
This in Flordia? Zero credibility if it is.
Nice guns dood.
Huge fan of Forloh. Their AllClima soft shell jacket is awesome.
I am thinking of getting these. I have been running General Grabber ATX
What psi are you running?

Are those KMC Dirty Harry wheels on your Jeep?
They’re called KMC “Trek” wheels (PN KM54579050600)
Nice looking wheels, I have the Dirty Harry wheels and love them ! They look like the cylinder of the Smith & Wesson 44 mag revolver!
Googled the Dirty Harry wheels after your first note - they look bad ass! Thanks for watching!
I've had mine for about 34k, did you notice an increase in road noise when you hit about 30k?
Not at all... I swear they almost seem quieter as the tread wears lower... currently at 48K and going strong!
Great video!! What do you think about the Micky Thompson M/T
Thank you! Never owned the MT M/T's, so can't say... but they do look great!
Yeahhh really good video here...
I'd say that's not bad at all. I'm right at 40,000 on my 2018 3500 Ram with regular four tire rotations. Mine is the ATZ P3 in 34x11.5x20 and these have the 45,000 warranty according to Discount Tire where they were installed. I'm at exactly 5/32ths and intend to upgrade to the Baja Boss this summer and go with the 35x12.5x20. Would be nice to have a decent rear tire carrier for a fifth tire rotation but I'm happy with the stock rims for now.
How are these to balance? Heard issues with that. Want them for my 392 in CO
They were balanced when they were installed and have been fine ever since - over 47,000 miles ago - without rebalance.
Thx for the clip. why didn´t you test the active track 6.0 for animals?
In my opinion, the 20mm lens makes it difficult to get useful details of the pups given they generally run a fair distance to/from the camera. If they were in a fenced in area I could see the utility, but not so much when they're going long for a pass. The hope was just to showcase the different frame rates with motion and internal microphone quality with the variable sound on the beach. Thank you for watching and for the feedback!
Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 ❤😍
Thanks for showing this camera and how it does at night. Good footage
Thanks for watching & for the feedback!
@everydaystaugustine. Could you go into a little more detail about on road wet traction/hydroplaning? what has been your experience? thanks
I honestly think it's a direct result of 12.5" width tires rather than anything specific to the BB AT's. My wife's Sahara with stock tires handles like any other car on standing water however, the wider tires simply catch more water and hydroplane easier than narrower tires would. Just something to note if you're going from narrower to wider tires - you'll want to tap the brakes when you see standing water. This is mostly on the backroads where drainage isn't too great - interstate driving hasn't been an issue at all.
I always rotate my spare into the rotation. This just makes sense for longer, even wear. Thanks for posting your review. #JesusISLord
I love my Mickey’s.. my JT didn’t come with them.. but really glad I Installed them.. nice to see them wearing so well..!!
unusual ,catch you later~📢
Next set you should try the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W although the Baja Boss A/T is awesome!!
Just checked them out & while the recommendation is appreciated, still think the Baja Boss is a win in the looks department.
I’m hearing the Falkens have a balancing issue on some of their tires
Bidenflation has em up to $460/each.
😬
Ouch! Out of my pay grade..
I just looked them up for cause I need some, size 37s on a 20inch wheel and they’re $535 each tire 💀🤣 fuck Biden
Great review. Thank you for talking about the on road highway performance. Too many reviews are gear toward off-road when the majority of of don’t take our vehicles off-road every day.
Glad you liked it! Thank you for the feedback.
Howdy from JAX!
Howdy back to you!
How they do on snow?
I wish I knew! Not much (any) snow here in FL and none of our trips up “north” involved snow. I’m originally from WI and can imagine them being pretty good in snow - but can’t speak from experience.
I live in Washington and have driven in 2 feet of snow and ice in a Ram3500. They work great.
@@shawnhampton9686good to hear, I just ordered a set for my Silverado here in Wisconsin. Ran a set of Toyo Open Country AT2s the past few years, curious to see how these compare.
This will be the 3rd winter on my BB ats. They are fantastic in the snow and on the ice. I have wheeled through some deep snow multiple really times to help recover stuck vehicles.
@@shawnhampton9686How are these wearing under your 3500? I just suffered through a set of interco sx2's (made in Thailand garbage) for about 10k miles, no support from interco... Looking at other brands now after running nothing but made in USA super swampers for the past 15 years.
I'm running the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss M/Ts. Curious to hear how people like the A/Ts.

@@JameGoFast yes I know
@@JameGoFastreading and comprehension isn’t your strong point, I see.
@manny7972 The attention span is 3 seconds. Then again, some want it spelled out for them. 😂
You are getting much better wear on yours than I am, on mine. I have one of their SUV sizes, the 247/65/17, that came with 16/32", of tread depth. After putting 9,200 miles on mine, I'm at 12/32", with one tire rotation and an alignment in the middle of that distance and the first alignment when they were put on but they see a lot of off road use. Still most of the actual millage comes from driving them to and from the trails. I do still love them though!
What vehicle are you running the tires on ?
@@fredsausage8794 Bronco Sport Badlands
Make sure you are not over on your tire pressure
@@terrarecon I never run more than the OEM tire pressure, as stated on the door placard. In fact, I used a tire pressure calculator, to determine my pressures, as the Mickey's have a higher load rating and am running 2-4psi lower. Also, my tread wear is even across the width of the tread, on all 4 tires. I also lower them even more, when I'm off=road.
I run a set of the Baja Boss 285/70/17 but they are the SL and not the LTs. Which version of the tire are you running? There are differences between the two.
What kind of rims are those bronze color ones.? Your Jeep looks great.
Thank you! They’re KMC wheels - the exact PN for these are KM54579050600.
How do they do at highway speeds in the rain and puddles? My main concern with the K02’s is the lack of traction in the rain.
On the interstate, they’re just fine. Because they’re a 12.50 in width, they do tend to hydroplane more than narrower tires on big puddles at high speed.
40,000 miles for about 6/32" of wear is about 6,660 miles per 1/32" of wear. If you wear it to 3/32, you should expect almost 100,000 miles in the entire life of the tire, unless you puncture them or tear off the sidewalls four wheeling. That's darn good wear. I'm down to about 8/32" on my Cooper AT3 XLT on my Ford F250 6.7 diesel FX4. I'm debating these at $429/tire or less expensive like Nitto Exo Grappler or General Grabber ATX.
That’s a great way of looking at it! Fingers crossed on squeezing out as many miles as possible!
Nice rig! What's the spec on your wheels (diameter, width, offset, backspacing)? Did you add a lift (which one?) or is it stock?
Thank you! These are KMC Wheels (pn KM54579050600) - 17x9, 5 backspacing and 0 offset. Jeep is stock suspension.
Exceptional video! That 30% price increase statistic was a nice addition. Thank you sir!
Thank you for the feedback… thinking about buying a new set before the price increases any more!
What daily air pressure do you run in those tires?
Generally 38psi
You should do a 5 tire rotation. Makes them last longer.
"These tires have never gone over 5k miles without a rotation" 3:31
@Sw1shersplitter I know the post is old, but he said a 5 tire rotation. Which in theory would make tires last about 20% longer. Obviously in video he only does 4 tire rotation, thats why the spare was used as a base measurement.
You can’t those tires are directional so you would only be able to put the spare on one side. And I mean you can put them on backwards the tire won’t explode but it doesn’t evacuate water as well backwards. And the tread wouldn’t match the other tire on that side which doesn’t really matter but just another point
@@stonesneed9046bruh baja boss at you can rotate like normal lmao wym
@@stonesneed9046 it's not directional tread pattern, it's asymmetrical. The tire has an inside and an outside so no problem being rotated to any corner of the vehicle.
Thanks for the review. I have been eyeing these Tires for a while and it's about time to make my decision. I'm going from an Atturo Trail Blade or something like that to the Mickey Thompson Baja.
Hope they work as well for you as they have for me. I’ve clearly been very happy with them!
@@everydaystaugustineDo you worry about the sidewall being punctured much on these?
