I ordered MB based on this video (been watching this channel for 2 years and greatly appreciate all your content!). Today is day 2 and I am blown away at how much better I feel. I was diagnosed with fibro, asthma, etc decades ago...I can think clearly without coffee jitters, my pain level has dropped dramatically and I finally don't feel like I have the flu 24/7. This is amazing! Thank you so much for sharing this information. I would never have learned about MB if you hadn't discussed it! You are greatly appreciated.

As I understand it, one can have a lot of underperforming neurons. If one takes MB , it can 'recharge' those cells, resulting in increased ATP output. Hence reconditioning old brain cells. As I have been suffering from Lyme disease and probably missing a lot of mitochondrial function, I have just ordered some Methylene Blue to experiment. Wish me luck people.

I know this is my third comment, and I apologise if it’s annoying, but another really important thing to take into account is the purity of the MB:
There are three different grades of methylene blue:
Industrial grade - used to dye fabric
Chemical grade - used in laboratory experiments
Pharmaceutical grade - used to treat methemoglobinemia, urinary tract infections, overdoses, and considered safe for human use.
By the way, the methionine blue that you will find in fish shops for treating fish diseases is not pharmaceutical grade.

Thank you for this fantastic explanation of the mechanism of methylene blue! I agree that every emergency medical professional needs to have a vial of this ready to go. It's not a questionable treatment! And as long as the doses are low enough there would be very small number of times when it wouldn't be safe.
I started out in healthcare in 1982 and have learned that mainstream medicine has its benefits, but it certainly has many limitations. I'm not aware of any pharmaceutical that can do this. We all know why that is. I'm talking about there being no profits in it. But that doesn't translate into meaning that there is no use for it because it is astonishing what it can do!
I recently stumbled on it looking for something else, as often happens. I decided to use myself as a guinea pig because I have some conditions that I felt it might improve. I don't believe it was wishful thinking when I say that's after one dose got my thinking felt much clearer. As I continue to just take small doses my clear-thinking has persisted! That's saying a lot because I have had depression and anxiety for about as long as I have been a healthcare professional. And I have been willing to try almost anything including clinical ketamine IV treatments which didn't help me at all. That should tell you how desperate I've been.
I'm going to kiss my bottle of methylene blue as you jokingly mentioned! Thank goodness it's not a joke. 🎉

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:13 ⚠️ Dr. Mobeen discusses methylene blue side effects, contraindications, and cautions - important to review before considering use.
05:14 🧠 In ischemic brain injury, methylene blue interferes with p53 activation which reduces apoptosis, providing neuroprotection.
08:58 🧹 It also enhances autophagy, helping clean up cellular debris in injured neurons.
15:08 🩺 The study authors suggest emergency responders could administer methylene blue on-site to protect more acute stroke patients.
23:16 🔋 As an electron cycler, methylene blue can kickstart dysfunctional mitochondria in ischemic tissues by donating and accepting electrons.
29:32 💊 This makes it an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, energy enhancer, and nitric oxide producer, conferring neuroprotection through multiple mechanisms.
36:13 📝 In summary, low dose methylene blue may help rehabilitate mitochondria, reduce apoptosis, trigger autophagy, and protect tissues in various conditions.

I’ve been taking it for a couple of months every day and it’s really made me feel wide-awake and in a happy mood.
I did a lot of research, and you have to be careful that you’re taking pharmaceutical grade.
I also did a lot of listening and reading around the research of Dr Gonzalez-Lima, one of the main researchers in this area and he has published many of the papers.
I heard him mention that when they use it in research, they mix it with ascorbic acid. This helps the absorption because before the body can absorb it, it has to reduce it to leucomethylene blue, and ascorbic acid will reduce it. I wrote to him and he confirmed this to me. (Kind)
The other benefit of adding ascorbic acid is that it takes out the dark blue colour which can make your tongue and mouth and teeth go blue. And it takes away a lot of the bitter taste methylene blue is extremely bitter.
It does make your urine range from very blue to very green. At first this is disconcerting.

@@reliableandrew actually no. I ‘discovered’ MB a while ago but was a bit afraid so did a lot of reading.
I’m not suggesting that you do this by the way, but from my reading a very safe, starting dose is actually 10 drops twice a day, and that is what I did, mixed with ascorbic acid.
I am now taking as we speak, 25 drops in one dose.
I think Dr been mentioned something different, and I have not looked this up again but my understanding is the half life of methylene blue is 12 hours.
Therefore if you want to keep the same amount in you should dose it twice a day I have to say it appears true because at about the 12 hour point my urine is becoming more normal coloured.
PS the drops are based on 1% solution so each drop contains 0.5mg of methylene blue.

I always thought that MB inhibited NO which is why it is protective in ischemic stroke due to vasoconstriction and increasing BP? Here is an paragraph from a study I found.
Nitric oxide generation during ischemia and reperfusion plays a significant role in ischemic and reperfusion injury.[56] There is evidence that MB decreases or inhibits nitric oxide generation that might have the potential effect of neuroprotection in ischemia/reperfusion injury. In order to prove that the endocardial endothelium of Rana esculenta produces an amount of nitric oxide that is sufficient to modulate ventricular performance, Sys et al. measured the changes of stroke volume (as a measure of performance in paced frog hearts) and stroke work (as an index of systolic function) after using MB-induced inhibition of nitric oxide synthase.[43] This reminded us that MB could inhibit nitric oxide generation. Evgenov et al. found that continuous infusion of MB counteracted the early myocardial dysfunction and derangement of hemodynamics and gas exchange by the inhibition of nitric oxide pathway in ovine endotoxemia model.

I was in shock that the informations about nitric oxide are focusing on vasodilation, but not on paradox involved with this phenomenon. In small amounts, the vasodilatory effects of nitric oxide can be beneficial. In excess, it can be causative of a whole host of disorders and pathologies. I am glad I purchased the book. Nitric oxide is the body’s backup mechanism for dilating blood vessels during stress.

@@musimedmusi8736 I don't think MB is okay if the bleed is active, because the nitric oxide release would dilate vessels and increase bleeding. If the bleed has stopped it should be okay. In an emergency situation it is hard to know if a stroke is just a TIA, a larger blockage, or a bleed. So maybe a scan is needed first, but of course that causes a delay in treatment. Maybe if blood pressure is not high you can assume it's ischemia and give MB, but I'm not sure.

Dr. Been please report on that fact that only 10% of Americans with stroke are treated within the window for TPA. Lots of unnecessary paralysis and devastation. Both my parents were not appropriately treated, mom still paralyzed 9 years later.

My question is, would someone still recover if they got MB but no TPA?

Dr I have a spinal cord injury between T2-T5 as a lesion caused by one acute attack known as Transverse Myelitis. I'm in chronic pain and constant fatigue. My doctors got me on Gabapentin and then Duloxetine (SRNI) all for pain. It is not working. I'd like to ween off of them, and I'm curious about the mechanism of Methylene Blue versus my current cocktail.
The impact of methylene blue on neurotransmitter levels is multifaceted. While it can inhibit the breakdown of serotonin and norepinephrine by inhibiting MAO, it can also have other effects that modulate neurotransmitter activity. For example, methylene blue has been shown to interact with various receptors and enzymes involved in neurotransmitter regulation, which can influence their overall levels and activity. Do you think it is fair to extrapolate that MB use, while reducing my fatigue, MIGHT also reduce this false pain signal I'm getting from my lesion site?

@@geoattoronto Been taking 15 drops for a little over a week with some fatigue relief, but no noticable pain reduction. But overall, I cannot see any reason not to keep taking it as long as it does not mess with my gut biome.

MB same initials as MoBeen 🤠I’m so excited bc now the inflammation on my brain can be reduced in a natural way thank you Dr. Been. This will also help the biotoxin mold exsposure illness and the chronic fatigue syndrome caused by mold not being eliminated from the body, suppressing the mitochondria uptake of the atp molecule; bc of the gene in the 6th chromosome which doesn’t detox mold in 1/4 ppl! Thanks thank you thank you. You’re the best doctor ever. 🤍🌺 you’re saving lives doctor I’m so happy to be alive this is an answer to my prayer. Love and light to your soul.
