    Clear and informative video.
    What's the white stuff around the nut, is it PTFE tape

      Thanks. It's a thread sealant already applied on the plug when you buy it. Good luck

      Thank you. I used a Liqui Moly gear additive. Gearbox improved so much. Good luck :-)

      Hi, it would be better but not mandatory. You find on ebay or mb dealers. Good luck

    Nice video. Anyway, I've purchased 2006. a150. Beautiful piece, but when driving, and with throtle I have a sound, metal sound like no oil in gearbox.More speed, more sound. With throtle out, that sound is out and in a cabine is total silence. Do you know, is it possible due to old oil in gearbox? 😮

      Sorry but I have no idea. Could be many things. Good luck

      Did you figure out what caused the sound. My a160 manual gearbox also has a light whining sound. I consider to replace gearbox oil first.

      Hi. Ebay or Mercedes dealer. Or re-use the old one and check for leaks

    Is it the same procedure on a 5 speed gearbox and if so is it the same amount of oil? 🤔

    • @ticktime6569
      @ticktime6569  Год назад +1

      Cześć Dziękuję. Śruby do miski olejowej znajdziesz w zestawie Meyle, konwerter którego musisz szukać na ebayu lub w najbliższym centrum Mercedesa. Gratulacje

    Recently done on my A200 from 2004.. oh well it was lacking some oils inside was only 900ml or so 😅 needed that cause my gearbox was a bit noisy and dry certainly!

    • @ticktime6569
      @ticktime6569  Год назад +1

      I also found a very low level the first time I did the job. In fact I think this thing ruined my 2nd and 3rd gear synchros. Good luck

      @@ticktime6569how long it should last? Did you change before 100k km or after? Mine was just below 100k but still very low oil level yeah.. now it rubs smoothly hopefully less noisy too

    • @ticktime6569
      @ticktime6569  Год назад +1

      @@koookao i replaced it at 120k km. I should have done it before. It depends on the oil quality, but you should be fine for 5-8 years at least

    • @koookao
      @koookao Год назад

      @@ticktime6569 I've also asked a garage to change my coolant that was not changed since 2004.. it says 15 years or 150k km or so before changing coolant. Not sure if the garage fully flushed it as I saw only 3.5L flushed out. Any tips to check coolant change? Should I bleed air myself again just in case? He put -37°C coolant but pink color instead of mercedes blue one.. it should be fine I guess

    • @ticktime6569
      @ticktime6569  Год назад +1

      @@koookao I don't know if the pink is good. You should ask the exact brand and coolant version. Probably they didn't replace it all, to make a quicker job. But honestly it's more probable you will sell the car before it expires
