- We hope you've got your recovery kit ready because in this episode, Shaun , Graham and the boys bite off more than they can chew when they tackle some of NSW's muddiest, most fun tracks.
Along for the ride we've got big GUs and GQs on 35s and a twin-locked V8 Cruiser, but even those are no match for the slipperiest, steepest tracks of the Great Divide.
Best of all, this 4WD hotspot is the perfect place for a three day weekender from Sydney or Brisbane. Call the boss, chuck a sickie, and we'll see you on the tracks!!

I really like Shauno's 79 but I can't wait for the Dirty 30 to be back up and running.
it would be if Shauno drove better lines with less right boot. he's a bit of a rubbish driver and he makes those extremely capable trucks of his look crap.

Davo george I can't speak to why the 30 is not running but it's nice to see more people comment about the driving. Not to pile on Shauno but I feel people watch what he does and think it's normal or good but it is isn't. He mostly just tenses up and puts his boot down. Which is not really something you want to emulate unless your truck is a weekend beater that you expect to roll over often.
79s also have very little flex, thats why they have lockers from factory because theyre always lifting wheels
American Rigs are much differently built. I'd love a 79 built to the standard that my Hi-Lux Surf is. It's quite a weapon.

At the moment the traction control on my D max is saving me coin not getting lockers , i will but shit TCL is it good .

Seen you use the MaxTrax in several episodes. I like the recent addition of the tails for them to make them easier to find when they get buried. A trick that I have seen that is especially useful if you are travelling over a long section of soft sand when you get stuck, and stopping to get the maxtrax would mean you would get stuck again, is to attach a rope to a high point on the back of the vehicle to the maxtrax. Then when you have got going again, the maxtrax will get plucked out of the sand and follow behind you until you can stop on harder stuff to recover them.

You boys should try Mt Neville nature reserve it’s hidden about 30 minutes south of casino Nsw. It’s got some doozy hills and killer tracks and I’ve never seen another car or bike there ever. I’ve had to clear many trees from there over the years.
Hey, love the videos, always great to watch. One question though, why don't you wire the winch controls to cabin, or use radio remote? It's always messing with the wired control and plugging in the cable etc. Cheers!

That mud hole after slipperys is a fun one use to drive that hole around the same time thus video was put up in a v6 petrol surf was good fun might got hit it in my paj this weekend
100% agree about the camping on Fraser, we did a trip back in January, and prebooking a site was a pain. Southerly change came they and we aborted the trip early as there was no way of changing sites.

Good to see some of the local tracks from my area. Love the mid north coast for it's super rugged 4x4 tracks.
OK from what I gather about 2 weeks ago you guys were copping some heat from your boss for having a small number of subscribers. At that time I believe there were 81K subscribers. We've done our bit and passed on to our 4WDer friends and bought it to 98K subscribers and that number is gonna keep rising. SO, please tell your boss to lay off and keep releasing the free DVD's which we appreciate a lot. We will keep doing our bit on this side of the screen and your boss can get off his high horse and realise that the population of Australia is only a tad under 25 million and the 4WD community is not that large so the number of subscribers according to the populace is quite good. We ain't bloody China or India where their population is in billions therefore their channels have millions of views. Having got that off my chest you guys on the ground/field are doing a wonderful job, another great episode and say Hi to your Boss hopefully he's happy with the numbers.

Love all your videos guys, great job as always. I've got a 2011 GU Patrol, not into serious 4wd action like you guys, spend most of the time on the beaches. Speaking of beaches, the amount of stranded, bogged, half buried would-be adventurers I come across in the shiny 'AWD' vehicles is incredible. Perhaps you guys should do a short segment about the difference between AWD and 4WD vehicles and the limitations of said AWD's. Or even get your mits on a variety of AWD'S and see how far you can get them on sand, rock, boggy mud etc.... It'd be funny if nothing else 😉

Very rarely, might see an late 90's early/mid 2000's f250 on them but they are so expensive here and too big for the tracks.
