Whisky.com reviews the Glencadam 10 years. Glecadam Distillery is just half a mile from the center of the Scottish town of Brechin. It opened in 1825, shortly after distilling was legalized. Even today, whiskey is still produced there like it was in 1825.

Excellent feedback. I will most certainly be on the lookout for this product once it arrives in Canada.

I have three bottles of the 10, 15 and 17 wich is a “limited release”. There is also a 13 and a NAS called Andaluzia. The 10, 15 and 17 are simply wonderful. The 10 is a pure summer dram.

I must admit that I've never tasted a Glencadam, I'll have to do something about that. My dram tonight is Bruichladdich Fifteen, a quite nice example of the less aggressive Islay style.

This was the same experience I had with my first try of Glencadam 10, but surprisingly the next bottle I got did have a sharp aftertaste / alcohol burn as if it was a much higher ABV than the 46% it is. Odd considering the first was so smooth and almost buttery finish.

A lot of malt snobs have fawned over this bottle online, however when I recently bought a bottle I wasn’t overly impressed. Is it decent for a 10 year old, sure… but was it decent for the price I paid in the US? No. Won’t be buying it again.
