Sorry but for some reason, the audio has been cut out from 14:50 onwards. I'll just summarise here what should have been in that section: The gigabit speeds translates to 125 megabytes per second. On wifi, you can expect speeds of up to 61 megabytes per second (1 megabyte is 8 megabits).

I think Virgin media hubs in general are really poor. Much better to put it in to “modem” mode and buy a proper Wifi 6 mesh router separately, much better range and reliability? Any recommendations for a good mesh router?
Or the Asus RT-AX89X which is what I use. If you want strong connection to all nodes in AI mesh network. You need to wire up the main router connected to your virgin media modem via a ethernet cable to one of the access points or nodes dotted around the house. Most people like me can't do wired backhaul because we can't run a main ethernet cable from upstairs main router to say a downstairs node or access point. If you do do wireless mesh ai you need at least a triple band main router. So you can dedicate one of the main 5GHz band radios solely to the next AP which is in a room somewhere further away up or downstairs. To get the or strongest range and signal possible. Sadly for me the AX89X is only a Dual Band router. So wireless AI Mesh is going to work very well for me.
