Wasif (he/him) and Natasha (she/her) have faced a lot of judgement in their relationship since it began. Whether it be Natasha's conversion, or just based on the fact that they are a couple, the two have stayed together through the adversity they faced. During their conversation, Natasha discusses how Wasif makes her feel sexy in hijab, and Wasif mentions the first time they said 'I love you', and how he didn't mean it at the time.
We'd like to thank Wasif and Natasha for participating openly & vulnerably in our project. We appreciate what they've shared with us and hope you do as well.

When he said "loving you is not this tsunami of feelings it's a calm river you make me feel peaceful" I lost it 🥺😢
Same here Sis 😅!
It got me to YA LL!! ❤️😢
same! i teared up.
Girl this is all scripted .. Is just like seeing movies. No ordinary person say a love dialogues like I mean to say like Romeo Juliet dialogues in real world .. 😂😂
Omgggg me toooo!!!
“So if I’m gone, it doesn’t mean I’m gone. We still have an eternity together. You just have to meet me there”; that’s one of the sweetest things I’ve ever heard anyone say 🥺💜 He’s a very eloquent speaker. And she has a beautiful smile.
When he said, "Until Jannah reunites us" at 15:20 that hit
For everyone who’s a little confused- this dynamic (Muslim marries convert Muslim from a different culture) is often faced with a lot of backlash from both sides of the family (which is completely cultural and not islamic). The guys’ side of the family probably wanted him to marry from inside his culture/race, and may not have been the most accepting towards their relationship, whereas the girl’s family may have felt she changed herself & her faith for a guy plus all the misassumptions about islam come into play. Idk them personally but I’m guessing the “judgement” and backlash they faced is probably due to this.
I think "misassumptions"come from the fact a man can mary a woman of any religion, while a muslim woman can only marry a muslim man. A non-muslim man must convert in order to marry a muslim woman. I know of many examples of both situations.
@@kslucki what interesting is that Muslim men are only allowed to marry people of the book these Christians walking around today are not the people of the book that were described in our great book that’s a whole other topic that needs to be talked about. The people in the book didn’t believe the Christ Jesus was divine.
Its so sad when ALLah teach us to love all our brothers in Allah the same .
Racism is Forbidden in islam but cultures sometimes doest not match with islam
@@kslucki the hyprocrisy!!!...
@@noneofyourbuizness muslims 're literally taught in their religion to marry another Muslim... like Christians too... cos its more important to further the continuation of the religion than to actually foster communion between other prople of diff religion...
If that is not the meaning of racism.. i dont know what is..
These two look young but their emotional maturity is beyond their chronological age. THIS is what a healthy relationship looks like people.
I'm a white American and my husband to be is Bangladeshi. We are both reverts and face backlash from both our families about our faith and future marriage. Stay strong.
May Allah SWT make everything easy for you guys. Alhamdulilah it’s incredibly to see couple converting/reverting to Islam. May Allah SWT keep you steadfast and make it easy for your journey.
i am a bangladeshi and i feel for you guys. I pray and hope that you guys be happy with one another .
I pray that things get easy for you. I'm married to a Southeast Asian and the bizarre thing is that I was treated like a celebrity in her family 😂 It turned out that her parents yearned for their children to marry reverts. Not just any revert, but American reverts (FYI the whole family lived in the US before) 😂 As icing on the cake, even their kids wanted to marry American reverts 😂 I seriously felt like an A-List celebrity walking down the red carpet everytime I meet her family 😂
@@moombapoomba6036 wow 😂❤️ Maasha Allah TabarakAllah. Most of the revert always struggle but reading your comments, gave me joy and I’m so happy for you my brother.
Allah SWT made it easy for you Alhamdulilah. May Allah SWT keep you steadfast and always make it easy for you everything and bless your family 😊❤️
@@moombapoomba6036 you are white right ?
I’d love to see them interviewed in another 5 years .. ✨ what an open talk - I love them already
I’d love to see that too!
ان شاءاللە
The way they speak so much love about each other. This is the type of love that moves mountains!
She’s literally so beautiful omg! What a sweet couple I wish them all the happiness ❤️
while my wife and I share the same values and morals, our families observe different religions. It was tough especially in the beginning and sometimes felt like an “us against the world” situation. It’s still complicated but we believe love conquers all.
That's the most important thing, you're good to go hahaha, Allah ibarek (God bless) my darlings.❤️❤️
When he was trying not to cry 😢 their love is beautiful. May their union continue to be blessed today and always 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Amen
Wow she’s so flawless and beautiful! Um is she a model? If not, what are these companies waiting on?! 😍🤩
@Shaolin Style You can "model" anything really. People that hold up a cheeseburger are modeling, not just the IG/OnlyFans women.
@@normandy2501 i know right, some people are so narrow minded they can’t see beyond certain things
She was just complimenting her, y'all. Geesh. It's not that deep.
@@normandy2501 I love cheeseburgers, count me in. I'll try my best to tuck in my tummy
Her smile is golden.
Revert here. The best gem I’ve ever gotten from an elder in my community, Syrian man married to a white woman, is to marry someone who will go to war for you, and that BOTH of you are in this together. Because sometimes ppl will not be happy for you, even as Muslims, they’re flawed humans too. Judgment, racism, elitism and heresy will be brought forward as a test and in the end both spouses only have each other. And it’s this gem as to why I personally am mindful of who approaches me, because I cannot be the only one at bat when my family decides to look poorly at my husband, or when his family looks poorly on me I don’t wish to be in combat with them either. We are in this together and for my brothers and sisters - both convert/revert Muslims and born Muslims alike, this life is a test and the dunya is temporary. Keep in mind you marry someone for their iman and their character. Culture will not raise your children, but character and faith will. This is proof of it, they both definitely faced much hard ship on both fronts, and have exhibited a level of maturity that is few and far… inshallah a lifetime of happiness ❤️
“Until jannah reunites us” wow 🥺♥️
wow when he started describing how her love feels 🥺🥺🥺. and the way their faces light up when they speak on the other person. the commitment they seem to have have for one another is such a blessing 🤍
him explaining how her love feels was so beautiful, i love seeing perfect couples !!! happy tears all around (""":
Love the depth of this couple. She is so intense, patient and a diligent listener. He’s so expressive of his emotions in a very safe way that he totally trust her with his heart. ❤️
This couple made me cry...omg the love between these two.
God placed you together. Don't let that others think about you impact your lives. You all have broken barriers. LOVE conquers all. You are both God's awesome beautiful creation
Bruhhh I cannot get over how strong her gaze is and it seems like she has so much confidence in HIM and he in HER. Like no matter what insecurities she may have of herself, she has no doubts in their love. And the way he looks and speaks about her - oh my heavens. Gorgeous.
so glad to see a sister mashAllah I clicked so fast !
Yessssssss!
This is so cute! And profoundly touching. Even with all the judgement and discomfort they have to experience from the external world, and even through their own personal struggles, there is so much clarity and strength in their love, and what he said about soulmates and eternity, that brought me to tears, so beautiful how they hold space for each other continuously. I love this channel. Thank you for sharing the stories you do!
'We're joined together. We still have an eternity together, you just have to wait for it, wait to meet me there'
This literally made me smile and shed a tear, the 'meet me there' is something I really love and always gets me when its said in those sad movies haha
"Until jannah United us"may Allah bless us with that🤲🏽🤲🏽🤲🏽
They're both beautiful
And you said” first one to comment today”
You beat me to it🥲🥲
My heart ❤️ This is what Islam teaches us but cultural practices are sometimes making us fight for no reason. I loved everything about this conversation. Want to hear more from them. Especially in the future ❤️❤️❤️
Your love brings me peace, my heart is not searching for anything else, it's so easy to love you. He got me right there!
i love everything about this!!! the question "what turns you on about me that i don't already know?" i loooveeee this question being asked by a hijabi muslim wife to their partner and being able to normalise and see that exchange between a muslim couple. we can be hijabi and be free to express sexuality too 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
One of my best friends converted to Islam and married an Islamic man. She started converting before she met him, but it did ramp up during courtship. She seems happy, but I definitely think she feels the pressure to be a perfect muslimah.
The hijab was the hardest hurdle for her too. It caused her so much stress in the beginning, she was really upset.
I just don’t see the point
“Islamic man” doesnt make sense. Its “muslim man”
she doesnt have to wear hijab if she doesn't want to. hijab is about your devotion to God, not men. i am Muslim non-hijabi and i was waiting to build my faith and connection to God to wear it. my beliefs on it have changed immensely the past 2 years. i tried to dress down. dress baggy, shave my head, all to protect myself from sexual harrassment and jealousy and envy from society. it still did not work. what i realized is the hijab is Gods protection for women and it is ensure society respects us for our minds, hearts and souls. men also have hijab meaning veil, they must lower their gaze and not stare at women with lust. and they have dress requirements for modesty.
may Allah make it easy for your friend💙
I think it’s weird that she’s wearing hijab if she doesn’t want to. It should be a personal choice. If it’s being forced on her just so she can be with him, then I understand why her family is upset. And how much does he care about her wearing it and how much is just pressure from his family?
I'm a muslim woman and I don't wear a veil, never worn it before and I'll never wear it. Your friend needs a break, work on her faith first, get in a comfortable place with God, bring peace to her heart before worrying about her appearance.
Religion is an intimate relationship (not in a sexual way fo course lol) with God, not with humans. I hope and pray she'll take it off for now and focus first on her own well being... there's a wide literature right now about the origins of that "hijab" but still, if she's still convinced with the "mainstream" ideas about it, she can wear it without any stress.
May God bless you and her.
I’d love to go really in depth with this couple... such a tease is this!!!
Her eyes!! ✨✨
They both are VERY clear about their love and their relationship.
I loved this video … started tearing up at the end. Mashallah what a beautiful couple and heart these two have!
Absolutely loved this episode
May Allah bless them both abundantly they are beautiful inside out ❤️
Ameen
she’s so gorgeous, m’a 💖
wow. you two beautiful humans. this is so moving.
Allahumma Barek. This kinda relationships are rare to be honest. They're emotionally connected and effortlessly completing each other.
First 4 minutes I'm like "WHAT ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT?!!? WHAT'S THE JUDGEMENT ABOUT?"
Lol
Is he like a prince?
@@HappinessTheBrand no. He's Asian and the family probably wanted him to find a Asian girl. So they have tried to make it as hard as possible for them to be together. She converted to Islam and her family didn't like that so they judged her for it.
LOL I thought I was the only one. I literally had no clue what the heck they were even discussing
@@Z_err ah okay.....I thought they were both hispanic haha
@@Z_err Thank you. Yes I eventually understood that point. I meant when she said "You had more to lose than me" - I wondered what he was losing moreso than her. I guess his family would have abandoned him if she didn't convert and her family wouldn't have taken it that far? What u think
their love and bond is so beautiful, it sucks that they had to go through so much hardship for it. also natasha kind of reminds me of angelina jolie, mostly in her smile and how she talks! like wasif said, her energy is really captivating
This was sooo authentic and beautiful to watch ! Love the fact that U.S guys express themselves sooo beautiful compare to Uk 😩😩
She is so beautiful! 💗🥰 loved their story!
What I loved was the ONLY possibility of this being their last conversation is death,>. Jannah is paradise.
May Al wadud love You and nourish your love for each other
I felt their love aw
MashaAllah TabarakAllah, was the greatest skin deep thus far. May Allah bless these two with an unwavering love that's Halal & filled with happiness, Baraka & Riziq. May Allah have mercy on them & their families & may Allah make us those who are the best to their spouses, Ameen 🤲
Ameeen🤲❤❤

I'm completely confused. I feel like I walked in on the middle of a convo and have no idea what's going on. I know she converted for her own personal reasons. But she mentioned that her family felt she was converting for him. Did she need to convert to marry? What was the judgment on both ends. They look sooo young
In Islam, it is permissible for a Muslim man to marry a non-Muslim woman as long as she practices a monotheistic faith (i.e Christianity/Judaism). So she didn’t have to convert in order to marry him. I’d assume the judgement from both families is based on cultural differences, faiths and prejudices. They’re a beautiful couple nonetheless💕 May Allah grant them peace and prosperity. Ameen
Saaame 😂😂
I swear i could feel the respect they have for each other. soo beautiful♥
Beautiful couple. Mashallah🥰
Maa Shaa Allah
We can not control what people say or think about us. But we have the control in how to react towards them. May Allah SWT bless you both aameen 🤲🤲
It’s a beautiful love and it’s a blessing to be part of such emotionally pioneering discussions. If there was anything I’d like to know is.., he described how much he loved her ‘beautiful hair just flowing’ before she converted and her ‘skirt bouncing on her hips’ and how much attention she used to draw. However she later says that she struggles with the hijab sometimes and somedays she doesn’t want to wear it at all, where he proceeds to tell her that to him it doesn’t matter what she wears at all. He seems to reminisce on her appearance and she seems to struggle with the current one. Is there any chance their love is being impacted because they are subliminally not free to move in their own pace in their own space?
In any case I wish them all best.
Marriage doesn't end problems, I don't think there love is being impacted by their problems but I think love will make them work past their problems. I'm proud they are open to share with each other though, and I also love he acknowledged itsher energy more than what she wears.
Your definition of love bro, is perfect 🥰. That's my feel for my wife
when he said "until Jannah reunited us" literally had me in awwee
"until Jannah reunites us", Ameen brother!
“…until Jannah unites us” Aameen
This video almost brought me to tears! 😭💝 May these two continue to live an amazing life togetherrr💗
You never have to agree with my decisions for my journey. Respect my right to choose.
That's awesome! Your love feels so peaceful, never hear that one before.
so happy to see a Muslim couple. Masha’Allah you guys are absolutely beautiful on the in and outside. May Allah bless your union in the dunya and aqira. His family needs to stop injecting culture into Islam, she seems like a great person.
Wow! They’re so beautiful…
Sorry but their children are going to have amazing eyebrows... I'm jealous.
Mash’Allah 💗 Asalamuilakum Warahmattulahi Wabarakatahu My brother and my sister 💗 Your transparency is beautiful Mash’Allah 💗

Aw man!! Makes me so happy to see real love and honesty. 🖤
Wow...when I hear "I would anything for you" ,wow
You are so beautiful and gorgeous with hijab ❤️✨
Gorgeous inside and out both of them. :)))
That was beautiful 💕
Shes so pretty mashallah. And to think people would judge this beautiful couple just shows how they are insecure and have no meaning in their life. I feel so bad for them, she converted and needs support. May Allah swt make their life easier aamiin:)
You’re guys’ love is so inspiring
They're SO beautiful please 🥺🥺💜💜💜.
I feel like this is a video I'll come back to watch time after time
Lovely episode ❤
does anyone know their socials? would love to support them :)
I know it may be too soon, but I need a movie based on this story
I need more info. I’m over halfway through and I feel like I came in on the middle of a conversation and I’m trying to figure out what’s going on.
How old are they? How long were together prior to being married? What is Natasha’s background/religion?
same here! I am completely confused. What was the judgment between both familes?
I find that a lot of the point of The Skin Deep conversations is that we only get a tiny glimpse into a relationship. The intimacy and truth that is shared with us is a gift that we should be grateful for, not needing more from those who have already been so vulnerable to share. What is the theme? Here it might be love/devotion/etc. How can we bring that into our own lives?
Hi, convert here. From her stance I can tell she’s saying her family judged her coming to Islam and didn’t want her to, and his family wanted him to marry a woman from the same culture. Which made marriage harder for them. They look in their twenties. It doesn’t matter how long they were together prior. We don’t casually date in Islam. I knew my husband 4 months before we got married.
0:41 I think they write ✍️ there 9 months 😁 but I’m not sure
Ladys when you convert to muslim you don't have to rush wearing the hijab take step by step
Oh so incredible and fabulous.... Joyful Family relationships.... Blessings....
My God she's so beautiful
Beautiful input
Beautiful couple ..i believe they r still together...❤❤
This is so beautiful 🥰
woah what a beautiful couple mashallahxxx
You are a beautiful couple and human beings.
For conservative muslims, these questions were suprising
Beautiful couple.
There are all kinds of love, distorted, crazy, insane and none of them are real. True love knows no color, borders, prejudices. We're ALL from Adam get over it. And who has the right to make people feel bad about their choices unless they themselves live in a delusional matrix designed by others who they don’t even know. I mean, it's crazy.
Learn to see people as walking energy, souls who are transcendent. Because that's your true reality. People are insanely stuck on material and physical dimensions whereas their existence surpasses this. Break the labels and boxes people put you in. Shout to the rooftops that ‘You’ are More than those boxes. Unapologetically be ‘Your’ Amazing Self! Without feeling ashamed or embarrassed by those who are temporary and living in boxes of emotional and mental bondage governed by the dictates of others. That’s true enslavement. People don’t even realized that they are slaves to other people’s ideas of them. Who they should be, how they should talk, act, etc. Its very sad. No wonder people control others… they seem to like it.
Love this couple
she is very beautiful woman in this hijab and he is a nice guy good looking guy and knows how to talk good...
Mashallah beautiful couple
This woman is out of this world, JESUS!
I felt really sad when she said that sometimes it takes her two hours to get out of house coz she doesn't want to wear a hijab... I don't wanna sound judgy but wanted to point it out since it feels like she converted for him and I think, speaking in general, doing such a sacrifice for your partner is never worth it as I don't think any partner who truly loves you would want you to change your identity and the way you carry yourself just so you can be with them.
she didn't do it for him, since they can get married even if she s nor muslim. and they both said that it was her chooice, and he supported her through it
This Is Love!!!
Mashallah beautiful May Allah keep you United in dunya and akhira
Mashallah. This made me cry they are so sweet. May Allah swt bless their marriage
Beautiful
Lovely couple ❤️
As a Muslim man I wouldn't force my gf to wear hijab because honestly I don't care but the rest of thus idea was really amazing great video.
Most Muslima don’t wear it for a man, and she never said that he was forcing her neither …
You gonna be a Muslim and have girlfriend at the first place!!!! Or you meant your future wife?
Anyway he never even said, I forced idk where you was reading 😃
She is so pretty
