YES! I only recently understood, by watching RUclips videos and studying the eyes, why when I'd get my makeup done beauty counters I didn't really look as good as I'd hoped. I now know that I have very little lid space and the eyeshadow was applied as if I had a nice big "canvas" and therefore my eyes just looked too dark and deep, if that makes sense. Because of that, I just gave up on eyeshadow and only wear eyeliner. But I'm hoping this technique will help me join the ranks of eyeshadow wearers and up my style quotient. Thanks, Wayne!

Actually if you wet a shimmer it makes it emphasize textured lids less. I'm 44 and I love glittery, metallic shadows. As long as I apply them wet and don't try to pack too much on it's fine. Also I've found that if my lid looks crepy then I just take the brush I applied the shimmer with (with no more product on it) wet the brush then smooth it over the lid. It smooths out the texture and I'm still able to wear the beautiful metallic goodness.

@@wendyschnapa7582 you're welcome!! Just make sure not to pack too much on the brush and wet it enough to make it basically a cream shadow. Then you can paint it on and it's so much smoother than applying them with a finger or dry brush.

It was so crazy seeing deer in their backyard! (Their backyard backed up 2 a Forrest if I remember correctly. ) I remember going on a 4wheeler I think it's called? This 100% applies to my eyes! I've been doing this without the guide and fighting the urge to bring the shade further in (to socket or blend). My eyes are also more round so extending the inner portion never looks right but really accenting the outer lashes is a must, I don't even put mascara on the entire lower lash line just the outer corner. I'm thrilled to see this video & confirm what I've instinctively learned. It's good to know until I get to Wales to have my makeup done by Wayne 😂🤣 Kisses my darling! 🤍
