    Still waiting to hear about the minerals and composition, spectral analysis, etc. Wonder if NASS plans on releasing that data at all. Nothing on their website so far....

      The samples were collected in a microgravity environment, in which case, the excess might have landed on the chamber some time after the mission samples were collected and the chamber sealed shut.

      coal is made of carbon. And this sample is from a carbon rich asteroid.
