- THIS VIDEO IS A RECONSTRUCTION OF THE FOLLOWING SITUATION IN FLIGHT:
09-FEB-2024. A Republic Airways Embraer E175LR (E75L), registration N215JQ, performing flight RPA5842 / YX5842 from Boston Logan International Airport, MA (USA) to New York John F. Kennedy International Airport, NY (USA) being on approach to Kennedy Airport, requested delay vectors, reported threat level 2 (Level 2 - Physically abusive behavior) and requested law enforcement to meet them at the gate. Later the pilots reported that one passenger was threatening to jump out of the aircraft after landing. The airplane landed safely on runway 22 left and continued taxi to the gate without stop.

THE VALUE OF THIS VIDEO:
THE MAIN VALUE IS EDUCATION. This reconstruction will be useful for actual or future air traffic controllers and pilots, people who plan to connect life with aviation, who like aviation. With help of this video reconstruction you’ll learn how to use radiotelephony rules, Aviation English language and general English language (for people whose native language is not English) in situation in flight, which was shown. THE MAIN REASON I DO THIS IS TO HELP PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND EVERY EMERGENCY SITUATION, EVERY WORD AND EVERY MOVE OF AIRCRAFT.
SOURCES OF MATERIAL, LICENSES AND PERMISSIONS:
Source of communications - www.liveatc.net/ (I have a permission (Letter) for commercial use of radio communications from LiveATC.net).
Map, aerial pictures (License (ODbL) ©OpenStreetMap -www.openstreetmap.org/copyrig...) Permission for commercial use, royalty-free use.

HOW I DO VIDEOS:
1) I monitor media, airspace, looking for any non-standard, emergency and interesting situation.
2) I find communications of ATC unit for the period of time I need.
3) I take only phrases between air traffic controller and selected flight.
4) I find a flight path of selected aircraft.
5) I make an animation (early couple of videos don’t have animation) of flight path and aircraft, where the aircraft goes on his route.
6) When I edit video I put phrases of communications to specific points in video (in tandem with animation).
7) Together with my comments (voice and text) I edit and make a reconstruction of emergency, non-standard and interesting situation in flight.
These flight attendants have to handle all these situations , they need to get paid well
Im an ex- F/A and yes we are highly trained in dealing with all kinds of onboard situations such as this one. Pay was OK for me as I loved the job. (now retired)
"Well" is a relative term.
if they want more money then they need to be nicer and ditch the “we are here for your safety” cover for lousy service and attitude
The value of their labor is a product of supply and demand. For flight attendant pay to go up, there needs to be a shortage of flight attendants. There is a line of girls 10 miles long willing to work for the current pay.
I had no idea that flight attendants don’t get paid for all of their hours/work. That infuriates me. They have not get paid while flying. Not while preparing th Ed aircraft, boarding etc.
Dealing with the general public can be some of the worst and hardest jobs and don't get the recognition. Front line grunt workers make it possible for the big shots to make the big bucks.
THANK YOU for the time and effort you spend to make these recordings, animations, and transcripts available. I got interested in aviation videos during COVID, and have learned a lot, but found the comms between ATC and pilots quite challenging. You've not only educated me about that, but also about how a wide variety of situations which sometimes occur and are dealt with professionally and calmly. I've never been a nervous flyer, but it's always nice to know a bit about what's happening. I'm so glad I found your channel!
Lets just hope he was on the way home, cause he is now on the no fly list.
He be going Greyhound when he gets out of jail
well maybe they will let him out later today, you know BLUE place
He'll know to vote for high speed rail
Does anyone else feel like there should be some sort of verification when a different voice comes across at the critical question of "is the cockpit secure?"
It is like a 911 call when someone else interrupts and is like: yeah, all is good.....
No. It’s obvious there are at least 2 people in the flight deck.
So, this recording we are seeing right now is public, so a verification code wouldn’t do much because the first time it was used it’d be public knowledge, if not before then just because of the huge number of people who would need to know it. I suspect there are other, less public ways cockpit or cabin crew could get that kind of info out. They figured out how to do it on 9/11 and procedures have changed since then.
With what’s coming with AI, voice verification will be obsolete soon.
Medical distress???
Outstanding idea from the flight crew to ask ATC if they can keep the aircraft moving once they land. If anyone has been to JFK, you can sit for lengthy times waiting to get to your gate.
Unpopular opinion…. Ban alcohol sales at airports. Also excellent job by ATC. These people don’t get enough credit.
Some passenger: "Man, we're really running late here. I wish there was some way to speed this up."
This guy: "Say no more." [gets direct taxi for the low low price of jail]
(For legal purposes, this is a joke)
It's always ONE guy...
Mess it up for everyone!
DON'T be that guy!
Flight attendants need to handle these situations because the government refuses to.
Maybe one of these days….Sentence: 5 years no fly list. Irritate the crew again it’ll be 10 years.
_very_ well handled by everyone. even jfk ;P
I know we don't know the cause of this particular incident, but I wish alcohol was removed from airports and from service on planes. It just leads to so many unnecessary problems. 🤷♀
Imagine how immature a person has to be to not be able to sit in a plane on a flight without needing the cops to show up. It is just too much for him to be able to accomplish.
you must be very dumb or young to make such a statement - 25% of the general population suffers from mental health issues. Doesn't have to have anything necessarily to do with 'immaturity'.
Some undiagnosed people can also be perfectly fine for 99% of a flight, or fine on other flights, and then have a trigger event.
Many people have severe mental problems and are delusional.
Imagine how immature a person has to be not to be able to refrain from judging someone else when clearly they cannot know if that other person was having a mental health problem or something like that. It's just too much for him to be able to accomplish.
yea, what complete stupidity on your part to make an asinine assumption like that - 25% of the population suffers from mental health issues, and thats 25% of diagnosed people
What would be level one this seems to be serious.
jumping out of a plane when it's on the ground isn't a threat to anyone except the guy.
See FAA Advisory Circular 90-103. L1 is the least serious.
What happened to Air Marshalls on every flight? I guess it's a program that disappeared. But what happened to all those Marshalls?
There were never air marshals on every flight.
Air Marshalls are not on every flight just random ones.
TSA happened.
its not the 90s bro
Marshall’s on every flight? I guess you are learning there is a difference between what politicians promise and…. Reality
Suffer no fools and let him jump I say.
This air traffic controller has terrible speech.
Title is click bait. Threatened to jump out...... when the plane lands. 2:40
Got anything else to moan about ?
well new york doesnt prosecute criminals so he will be home by dinner
Go on, give it a try and see how you go pal.
No problem ? What the hell ? Yes - this is most definitely at least a problem ! I don’t like that -
I suppose I some what understand - however , it just sounds so stupid to say that ! Also , the
Phrase : “ it is what it is “. Another non thought out Idiot statement - Can we please stop 🛑
GEEZ!! You really need to watch to tell Kennedy anything. Once you let the cat out of the bag, the questions keep coming and coming and coming. Did they forget the pilots are not only trying to coordinate with the flight attendants but also trying to fly the plane? I appreciate Kennedy wanting to know everything in the event something happens but unless the pilots volunteer any info, give them what they ask then allow them to fly the plane. Is the cockpit secure? What are you going to do if it wasn't? Seriously.
Those questions are all part of the checklist. ATC has to ask them. Nothing to do with JFK
This is a compressed video, only giving the communication with the tower. The pilots are competent, and able to reply to the ATC without stress.
Hey George Costanza....they all do just fine without your help. Just cuz you are freaking out...doesn't mean all of us are. You do your thing at Waffle House. They will do their thing doing airplane stuff.
Un-secured cockpit= F-15 scramble!
@@davidsakal449 They would have told them. Control didn't need to ask.
Why does US ATC always insist on speaking so fast - slow down and be more intelligible.
Because unlike most of the rest of the world we have the largest amount of air traffic in the world and the NYC Class B is some of the most densely populated sky in the world. So you have to talk fast so you can communicate with all the planes in a given area. Pilots in the US don't have an issue with it, it only seems to be international pilots that fly into the US that have problems with it.
@@ImpendingJoker I've only been in NY airspace a couple of times and was concerned with how fast they would speak, but it wasn't too bad. My experience has been that the female controllers and pilots are the best on the radio, overall. They can talk fast, but be very clear and easy to understand, like this woman pilot.
Update your ear trumpet.
Because they're busy. Remember, these videos cut out a TON of stuff that's going on at the same time.
It's perfect 👍, its not really for you anyway 🤷🏻♂️
