I was moving my jaguar into a different tank, but thought i would show u all why. i will reintroduce once i get them in a bigger tank.
All fish in a 55 gallon, i am upgrading to a 120 gallon next week, i might have to get rid of jaguar cichlid.

Nobody wants to mess with that Oscar...LOL I will say though your water clarity is FANTASTIC for all those cichlids in one tank. And the jag and dempsey are beautiful both bullies in there own right. Now if you had a wolf cichlid in there things might be different for the hierarchy level in that tank.
Oh please the Oscar is the least aggressive fish in that tank , the Jaguar and the Dempsey are both very young with age and size they could kill the sissy Oscar

@alfaholic suuuuuuure idiot! Suggest a Dovi! That way this person possibly doesn’t watch or research the personality of a Dovi or wolf cichlid, puts it in this tank w his even larger at the time (if the Dovi IS a juvenile at the time), than as it grows it eats and destroys his entire tank of fish. While it tries to work out HOW to than kill its owner. How about he add some piranhas while he’s at it?

5:50 oscar pulled up like “ayo we got a problem here?”
No joke right here, I just bought a Jag about 8' and put him/her in my tank with 12' Black Wolf fish (curupira) and two channa lucius 15' I also got a video how he/she fights them all at once... never seen such action in a while with cichlids it is my first Jaguar cichlid by the way... I also decided to seperate him/her because snakes and wolves are more predatory at night. And everyone of them was stressed because the jaguar was attackin' and provokin' them. Just by that aggression I would say it is an Alpha Male duuudeee
But what would have happend if the jag was first in my tank and then combined the others in... dude that jag made my adrenaline go right through my brain....

Everybody ganged up on the Jack Dempsey. I hope you got this sorted out.
i ended up sorting it out by getting rid of the jaguar and putting them in a 120 gallon, everything worked out great.. but sadly the jack Dempsey passed away a couple of days ago cause he jumped outta the tank when i was at school.

Could have happened from delayed stress. Fish do that sometimes.

Thanks! That was my Ghost knife and Black-belt. Oscar tank was updated to a 75 and the 55 is a lot different, ill have to update soon, Probably when this video hits 10k views.

I put a jag in with 2 Oscars and did exact same thing. Don't know a fish that will beat a jag he pumped the Oscars for a few days then had to get him out.

a red devil the same size will give the maneguense a run for its money. I usually had to get the devil a tad bit smaller to keep the peace.
A dovii or a Umbee will give the old jag a run for its money.
Dovi (wolf cichlid) would fuck up a jaguar cichlid if u talking same size
Badly, Dovii would kill Jag. Only fish there is that can be housed with Dovii's and live longer than a few months are Wolf's, snakeheads, red tail cats, ( some pacu's and peacock bass if large enough ) and flowerhorn's. Dovii's are evil motherfuckers...

Those 2 caves are only good for the convict. You would have been better off with a wall of tall plants. Especially if you had the Jag out of there. Convict gets the bottom, the Jack gets one half and the Oscar gets the other half....
you are right, I have a 75 now with the Oscar, chocolate cichlid, and jack. thats how I have it now. but chocolate takes role of con.
My jag killed a kitten grabbed it off the ledge of the tank it all happens so fast. I took the fish out to the field and shot it old yeller style had to put it down 😂

Yep u get some crazy oscars but compare them to wolf cichlid (dovi) and jaguar cichlids they are tame! And oscars are to soft emotionally they get stressed out to easy!
My red devil almost killed my oscar
Oscars are kinda like house dogs, they only chase if you run, stand up to them and they back down. I had a nice red oscar and he was the pride of the tank, I put a way smaller managuense in there and was worried for the managuense. No need to be, he stood the oscar down and that was that, neither messed with the other again.
starman714 that's what I like about oscars they generally big and beautiful and not that aggressive. But I have had a crazy Oscar that I couldn't have anything with he killed my jaguar and my jack Dempsey and they was all similar size the Oscar a tiny bit bigger so not all oscars are pussies lol but generally they are tame 😂

I have to same two in my tank and they try to kill each other when the jack will beat up the jawar.

nothing really you can do sometimes changer decor. fins will get torn and stuff, not a big deal. The worst is when a fish gets stressed, staying at top of tank and will stop eating.

Jaguar and jack Dempsey really dont like each other ...facts....When the same size the jack Dempsey can win sometimes. The jag will outgrow the jack and its over .

Agreed, they out grew it, i took the Jag out that day. and the others are in a bigger tank.
