- Jack Dempsey cichlid vs buttikoferi. While we were moving my brother accidentally dropped a chair and it hit my buttikoferis tank so i hurried up and picked up the butti off the floor and put him in this tank. He was only in there for a short ammount of time while a spare 90 gallon was being set up to temporarily house him till i bought a new 125. He quickly took over this tank. No the jack dempsey didnt get killed or even beat up very bad at all. He had minor injuries and was at full health within a week. Join my Facebook group / 601105280072010

It was a good fight for awhile. They looked evenly matched, but the Butti wanted it more. I hear they are really aggressive.
@@bflo1000 Having owned both, Butti's are on a whole other level. IT was only a matter of time until the Butti got the upper hand, besides the owner said that the Butti here wasn't even a year old. Only a handful of species are on their level in terms of aggression.

I also love how the red devil is just swimming around with them and red devils are really aggressive

Meanest fish ive kept. Had 2 in a 300 gallon with a few busters. Dovii are another fun fish to keep, mean as hell too. Strong fish.
Buttikoferi are faster then I thought they’d be.
Convicts are underrated. See that one is still alive. I heard they have survived weeks in buckets making them hardy and one of my 2-3 inch convict took down my 6-7 inch oscar 🥶🥶🥶🥶

Do your homework, the Buttikoferi is a Tilapia and the Jack Dempsey is a Cichlid, remember that. I had one my tank, the fish is nothing but a cold blooded killer and i was told a few time by the store owner not to buy that fish unless it was going to be alone, it was not and i paid the price.
I've kept this species for over 15 years now. Can't count how many I've owned. I know very well all about them

Derek Jones yeah by little brother busted my buttis tank in the process of moving so i had no choice but to put him in. but after this vid i just divided him off while my mom replaced his own tank lol.

You cant keep thoose two fish together you got to do your research before you just throw a whole bunch of fish in a tank buttikoferi really need there own tank.

LTLACY P4P Hemichromis fasciatus and Chiapaheros grammodes. Now for the biggest I would say umbee or dovii when it comes to cichlids

Trimac, Red Devil, Hemichromis fremongi and faciatus are the only cichlids I’ve seen be more aggressive than buttis. Check out my last few videos my butti bullies my larger midas, chancho and hogaboomarum

Mr Minor its a male. Hes had many spawns with his female before he eventually killed her
