My Jaguar cichlids were courting and my pike cichlid didn't like it so she attacked them. Notice the Orange fish in the tank...major changes in the fish room

I have oscar who glass bang everytime if anything pass near his tank, i cant put anything with him. And in my other tank i have jaguar cichlid who is big cute puppy sharing his tank with small malawi groups.

@@hazielrendon3805 that is sad.. but cichlids have unique personalities that i dont find in other fishes except some. But every cichlid i kept has personality and mood swing.

Awesome fish man. With pike cichlids, I think keeping them in larger groups lowers the level of aggression. I had a lenticulata pike like yours and he was very aggressive because he was the only pike cichlid in the tank. It was not getting along with the other fish, so I had to end up selling it. But with my group of 3 venzuelan pikes, they seem to be much more chill because a lot of their dominant behavior is focused towards one another rather than their tankmates.

I'd never think of a red devil being a bouncer at a club, but this guy has the chops. I like when the one Jag flared, the Pike clamped down on his lower jaw and for a moment the Jag was like, "hey, leggo my mouth." lol. Pikes are some of the coolest fish on the planet, and a shit ton of different kinds too. I've had massive ones that camped out in a cave and paid no attention to anyone else in the tank unless someone stupidly decided to go in and challenge him, then i've had johana Pikes that were 5 to 6 inches and were bullied and submissive to the Oscars, JD's and Convicts in the tank. And then finally i've had a big Lenticulata who was one of the most aggressive tank bosses i've ever had. He ruled a 250 gal for a couple years with 1 Jag who was every bit as long, (about 14 inches or so), 3 Cuban cichlids, 1 black Nasty, 5 JD's, a big Red Pike, and a Red Devil. Funnily enough, when he died from old age, (I had him in another tank for years before moving him into that one), it wasn't the R-Devil, the Jag, or B-Nasty who became the new tank-boss, it was that largest of the 5 JD's.

Yes, I made changes to all my tanks and I said I'll try the red devil in the 880 one more time and if he doesn't behave I'll have to rehome him.

@@dwsdarius Mann that's high risk. The entire pecking order of the tank goes out the window the second she lays those eggs. It can be tough to keep balance in a community like this and looks like it's perfect right now. Hope it works out. -

What is the name of the species of the bass? It looks kinda like a peacock bass but then again they look like spots down his sides rather than stripes?
These fish have been well cared for...they look very healthy and water condition looks immaculate...that's probably why they're ready go at it, lol. Might be time to separate these fellas into a separate tank for short periods of time.

I just had the tank boss which is a Jack Dempsey kill one of my electric yellow cyclids! Didn’t see this coming he hides and assaults and he had destroyed several larger gold fish even ripped the eye out of one! Bulb bulb bulb
