    Great video, but couldn't help but notice all the crazy drivers around you. A whole lot of people were either swerving or honking.

    After watching this. I will stay with my factory exhaust on my M2C. It’s sounds just as good as Dinan.

      I'm thinking the Remus sounds better. Also the BMW dealer was recommending I go with Autowerks for midpipes. Any thoughts?

    you never posted some videos with your CS ? You kept on the CS the OEM exhaust ?
    Thanks

    • @Ryem3
      @Ryem3  9 месяцев назад

      No, actually never did my own video of the CS, but I did do one with @theapex
      Kept the stock exhaust on it, but it didn’t sound nearly as good as the competition.

      @@Ryem3 thanks, i order a slip-on Remus Race and i hope i have more sounds . In Europe we have to keep the OPF 😤

      @@socalbtz in Europe I don’t even know. I’m guessing the sound is even worse! Otherwise the car is very fun and all the carbon fiber is awesome. The seats look cool, but no lumbar adjustment, so stupid. I enjoyed it but moved to a 570 McLaren and haven’t looked back!

    Thanks for posting this. I have a 2021 M2C and am looking at exhaust options. Is this exhaust the axle-back or is the the version that adds the x-pipe and sells for $2,399 currently? The X-pipe version removes the resonator just behind the cats and does change the sound. The M Performance and Akrapovic are, in my opinion, overpriced but do come with "bragging rights". The Remus is right about in the middle of the price-point comparison and it does sound great, but perhaps a bit louder than I want. I had $6K budgeted and decided to buy some 763M M2CS wheels, powder coat them Bright Silver (not an option) and mount some Michelin PS4S in wider sizes to help with the, as you stated, "traction challenge", and have about $2,500 left. I really like the sound in your video and I also to not like the raspy/tinny E46 M3 type sound. I also do not like the "cow udder" appearance of the OE muffler. If yours in this video is, in fact, the setup with the x-pipe, I might have found my solution.

    • @Ryem3
      @Ryem3  2 года назад

      Yep with the x pipe. Deep sound rather than the Akra rasp. In sport plus it is a little crazy with the pops, but I liked it. I have aCS now and it is more mellow than the competition. Highly recommended for the competition.

    Thanks for posting the video. I am considering the Dinan for my CS. Did you have to cut your exhaust to fit the Dinan? Do you happen to know if the M2 C exhaust one piece like the CS?

    • @Ryem3
      @Ryem3  3 года назад

      Thanks! Note that I now have a CS and it sounds totally different. The exhaust will not sound like this on a CS. The pipe is the same and yes it would also need to be cut. Someone else did a great video with the Dinan on a CS however and it sounds great! Check for it. However be cautioned, it will not sound the same as it does on a competition.

    Is it me or does it not sound that different? Noise levels about the same? Maybe deeper?

    Maybe I missed it, but it does appear to remove the ugly cow utter the old muffler had at the rear of the car

    • @Ryem3
      @Ryem3  3 года назад

      It does indeed. New information- the sound will be much different on a CS, even though it has the same motor, the tune from the factory is no comparison

      Dinmann. Nice stuff. Notice how they went with polished carbon for the M2CS? I'll be selling this full interior set. I'm also rye.m3 on Instagram

    Ryem, how loud is the exhaust now compared to stock? I'm looking for more volume. If stock is a 5/10 loudness, what would you rate the Dinan exhaust? Also, any drone in the cabin at all? Seriously considering this Dinan exhaust. Thanks.

    • @Ryem3
      @Ryem3  3 года назад +2

      Interesting question. On acceleration, it's about a 6 or 7. On deceleration, it can be an 8 or more in sport plus. This motor simply doesn't make much noise accelerating.
      I like it because it has a bit of a deeper tone, especially compared to an Akra. Also, it is a great value option given how stupid expensive the other choices are.
      Drone? You'll love this. Actually has LESS drone than the stock exhaust! Typically driving in quiet mode on the highway, the Dinan sounds even better than stock. I know, very odd, but that's my assessment.

    Best decision I ever made was turning burbles off! Car sounds a thousand times better and you don't look or sound like a teenager while driving through a parking lot.

    That took a very long time for research and development and it’s not even that good of a sound... I live in Europe, where cat-back is not allowed because of additional OPF filters. Even then my exhaust (Akrapovic Slip-On) sounds more interesting and sporty. And that one came out somewhere close to the release of the car and was approved like 2 month later.

    • @Ryem3
      @Ryem3  4 года назад

      Thanks for the comment. I would note that the Akra has a much more raspy tone, which some may like but I'm not a fan. The Dinan has a deeper tone, but is still hardly as good as the OG M2. Also, that Akra costs WAY more than the Dinan... around $6k if I recall, while the Dinan is only $2k. That's about what one should pay for a cat back. Similarly, the M exhaust is over $5k. Just ridiculous.
      The opf in Europe is really a killer! Might as well go electric at this point!

    • @AkiDarkWolf
      @AkiDarkWolf 4 года назад

      @@Ryem3 You can definitely get a nice sound out of an OPF car, but it will never be as loud as the ones before. Akra is expensive, that's true. But the same as the MPerformance, these two are made from titanium. That creates a higher tone to the exhaust, as you stated. I like that a lot more, because it makes the car sound louder than it is, but that's not for everyone. Gives you a hint of E46 M3 vibes, if you ask me.
      For sound, the N55 of the old M2 will always be the better setup with the single turbo, but the S55 has a lot more potential for tuning.

    • @Ryem3

      @@AkiDarkWolf indeed! Always hated my e46 m3 sound! I added a supersprint and a rasp terminator and it sounded pretty good.
      Indeed, the e46m3 had a similar tone. I really feel the BMW exhaust sound engineering is among the worst in the market. So many other companies do it better... try a 6cyl Jag for example!
