    Thank you for such a well organized presentation: no chatter , no hype, 'just the facts' and logical ideas. And thank you for not doing the typical quick photo shots that are usually found on these types of videos: the ones where you begin to focus on the nice picture and then switches quickly to another shot. I hope all other travel vloggers see your style and learn from you. Well done.

      Why thank you! In addition to making videos I watch a lot myself. Glad to hear such positive feedback and that I am on the right track.

    I've lived in David for 5 years. The city has more wildlife than rainy, always cold Boquette. Beaches, islands, fishing boats, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, within 50 minutes. Gyms, hospitals, Chiropractors, discos, bowling, airport, baseball, ect. Oh! And everyday highs between 82 and 95. Bags of farm food for $1. You'd hate it. Please don't come!!

      Panama has everything depending on what you want. In a nice small package too! The world is a big place though so there are a lot of choices. I think that's why the country offers the pensionado visa and others to incentivize people with money to move there. Glad to hear you enjoy David but that is way too hot for me. Maybe somewhere halfway up the mountain between Boquete and David though!

    I just finished a 1 month visit to Chiriqui provence in search of a place to live. Volcan and nearby Paso Anchon and surroundings had NO rentals available, Boquete was too crowded and too expensive. My visit also included Pacific coast villages like Boca Chica, Puerto Armuelles, and Playa de Barquete. Too hot! I finally found a rental in the Bugaba Highlands, with its more temperate climate, lush environment, and reasonable cost. My channel @psirotta Travels in Panama shows some of my explorations and my soon to be retirement locale.

      @beasleyfinds  8 месяцев назад +8

      Alright! Appreciate the info. Sorry to hear you had no luck finding rentals in the Highlands. I do see availability for short term rentals but obviously not what you're looking for. I see properties in Boquete come up for between $600-$750 quite often. I guess you're looking for something cheaper/nicer for the money. I totally get that. Good luck man. I will check out your channel. Thank you.

      You are very welcome and glad you enjoyed the video. Boquete is certainly an amazing choice in my opinion. Another viewer asked me to do a video on Pedasi which I will do next. Stay tuned.

    A decision matrix is a good idea. I'll be retiring to Panama early next year.
    I desire to be _near_ the "front row", so-to-speak. I like comfort (not considering the heat), convenience, and proximity to the beach. But I ain't trying to pay $1500 a month in rent either, so Panama City or Coronado are out. It's gonna take some time to narrow it down as I learn more about the country.

    • @beasleyfinds
      @beasleyfinds  8 месяцев назад +7

      Yes, good to get thoughts organized with a decision matrix. Perhaps somewhere between Coronado and El Valle? Have you checked out Penonome area?

    After working and living in Canada for more than 14 years, I like it hot and close to the ocean. I live here in Panama now for over 4 years, November 5 years. A lot of the roads have changed to the bad. Valle de Anton road looks like a war torn road. Boquete is like little USA! No thanks. Mountains are not my things, because the roads & most importantly, daily rain. Lived 10 months in the Las Tablas area. Too many power outages! Had to throw out a lot of food. No thanks. So I settled at the San Carlos area. Greetings

      Good to hear from you! Thanks for sharing a bit of your experience. The mountains are my thing but definitely not for everyone. Guess I'm a Highlander. I will have to look into the San Carlos area and check it out!

      Panama is my homeland and it is actually sad to see how Americans are moving there and acting like it's their home, while the locals are "put out". I still have relatives there so it is disturbing. The Americans look for the "good" areas as opposed to the "bad" areas to live. Here comes the gentrification. The Americans bring their "ways" to the country and contaminate it. Now you know how I feel as do some of the locals.

    • @danbazley5445
      @danbazley5445 8 месяцев назад

      @fitg6251 Sorry you think/feel that way. I know a lot of Americans that feel that way about foreigners coming to their country too. I don't pay much attention to them either.@@fitg6251

      @@fitg6251How logical is it to look for a place to live in the "bad areas"? No one, not even the locals WANT to live in those areas.
