Great review, love the sound of both pedals, might be a coin toss to decide. Also have to complement you on your playing, I could listen to you play all day! What backing track did you use?
i hear that the hi gain fuzz is actually cornish p-2 inspired. but i dont know. welp time to add this to my birthday list... great playing btw and merry Christmas from alaska!
Hi Bjorn, I think I speak for a lot of your followers in saying we would LOVE to see your backing tracks uploaded to RUclips.....please please please!!!
Sounding great, Bjorn. The Silicon sounded immense! Sustain for days. Beautifully played as well. You don't use the Laney Lionheart much in recent uploads - you just prefer the Reeves or is the LT-20 at the amp doctor's surgery :) ? My Laney(s) both need work. Alas, Covid has indefinitely delayed anything like that.
I'm so glad that the reason you've been absent from YT is because of recording for a new album. I was hoping it was for a positive reason like that, and not something negative such as... you know... "the virus"... anyways, great demo and beautiful playing, Bjorn. Keep it up!
Thank you so much man. You’ve helped me so much and I would love to listen to your stuff and continue to do more in the future. I myself would like to start playing soon in Germany, for example and Europe. Just fine-tuning and trying to get all that equipment ready as well, without overdoing it and having it control me. Always love these pedal tests.
@@gilmourishofficial Thanks a lot ! Will we see you test Walrus Audio pedals in the future ? They came out with a flanger that seems very interesting 😁
@@gilmourishofficial my only problem now is that I’m using a 10 watt active speaker and so I would assume it would be similar to a hi watt because speakers would generally want more mids for vocals. I could be wrong this is just my thought process.
Hi Bjorn, I just wanted to thank you for your amazing work on gilmourish. Your tone guides have helped me understand the importance of mid-range and what else to look for in every piece of gear. Recently I got my first own guitar rig consisting of an Ibanez RG421, Marshall DSL1, and a Boss Blues Driver (thanks to your Gilmour on a Budget video 😉). I have been having fun dialing in tones and I will use your guides for any other piece of gear that I might need in the future (like a delay pedal). Oh, and your playing is also very inspiring.
Bjorn- what kind of neck do you have on your Strat? I love the look of it, with the binding on the rosewood. What’s the fretboard radius and profile? Thanks you sir for all the great reviews and tutorials!
That's a Japanese CIJ Fender 65 reissue that I bought new around 2005. It's a 7.25" and I think it's based on similar specs as one of the Eric Johnson models. A dream to play!
@@gilmourishofficial thank you, sir! I currently have a Japanese Fender neck on my Strat, Maple 7.25”. Every CIJ guitar I’ve played has been a joy to play.
Only the time and your playing and practice with 🎸 know that !🎬🎶 , wcasante ;! Bijorn how long it takes to be able to play and rec. this video clip and be sure that you don't angry sir . David G. How long will need to practice¿??
An instant upvote for this legend who has cost me way too much over the years! Cheers Bjorn I hope all is well with you.
Ha ha, don't blame the messenger :) Thanks!

@@gilmourishofficial do you think you'll ever post some of your backing tracks?
Gotta say that silicon Hi gain sounds smooth and tasty...as was your performance 😎👍
😎👍❤🖖

Thanks! I like to swap amps now and then. I still use the Laney a lot for recording.
Nice playing and tone
Thanks!

Sounds great. Surprised you didn’t demo their germanium distortion which is supposed to be very DG inspired. 😎
I did try it. Sounded good but I liked these two better.

Hi, Bjorn! We missed you! What do you prefer for CN 2d solo- this one or green russian?
Green Russian.
Love your'e review's & demo's. But what is the name of the song you use for this intro?? Is that one of your'e own songs or a cover? Cheers!!
Thanks! Yes, that’s a short bit I recorded years ago as an intro for these vids.
Hi ! It was an excellent review! Did you get the chance of testing how this pedal stack together ?
Thanks! They don't stack that well as the fuzz has A LOT of gain. Too much noise and feedback issues.
@@gilmourishofficial Thanks a lot ! Will we see you test Walrus Audio pedals in the future ? They came out with a flanger that seems very interesting 😁
Hi. Which effect will be optimal to play "Sorrow"?
David used a Big Muff for thst track.
Pleasure listening to you play Bjron. You're an inspiration to me! :)
Thank you!
Good Job 👍🏻😍
J’adooore 😉
Thanks!
If I’m on a really limited budget would you say an overdrive or a fuzz pedal is more versatile for Gilmour, particularly dark side and animals for me?
Depends on your amp and what tones you're looking for. See this feature on my site for some tips www.gilmourish.com/?p=7115

Really digging that Everest tone. Great playing as always!
Thanks!
Beautiful work Bjorn.
Thank you!
Nydelig spilt! Touch av SOYCD på slutten av respektive del. 😊
Sound great. And good to see you back on the videos.
Thanks!
Wow! Two videos in less than 2 weeks! You must not be busy 25 hours a day for a change!!! Nice tones Bjorn.
Your faithful Padawan, Keith
Finished recording the new album so it's fun to have some spare studio time to do some YT vids again!

I can't tell if it's the pedal or the combination of pedal and bridge pickup, but it generates a very good On an Island tone. Nice playing.
Thanks!
Great playing mate, good to see you back. Be great to see you review the volante.
Thanks! I’ll definitely do that if they ever send me one 😉
