    Great review, love the sound of both pedals, might be a coin toss to decide.
    Also have to complement you on your playing, I could listen to you play all day! What backing track did you use?

    Sounding great, Bjorn.
    The Silicon sounded immense! Sustain for days.
    Beautifully played as well.
    You don't use the Laney Lionheart much in recent uploads - you just prefer the Reeves or is the LT-20 at the amp doctor's surgery :) ? My Laney(s) both need work. Alas, Covid has indefinitely delayed anything like that.

    I'm so glad that the reason you've been absent from YT is because of recording for a new album. I was hoping it was for a positive reason like that, and not something negative such as... you know... "the virus"... anyways, great demo and beautiful playing, Bjorn. Keep it up!

    Sounds great. Surprised you didn’t demo their germanium distortion which is supposed to be very DG inspired. 😎

    Thank you so much man. You’ve helped me so much and I would love to listen to your stuff and continue to do more in the future. I myself would like to start playing soon in Germany, for example and Europe. Just fine-tuning and trying to get all that equipment ready as well, without overdoing it and having it control me. Always love these pedal tests.

    Hi ! It was an excellent review! Did you get the chance of testing how this pedal stack together ?

    • @gilmourishofficial
      @gilmourishofficial  3 года назад +1

      Thanks! They don't stack that well as the fuzz has A LOT of gain. Too much noise and feedback issues.

    If I’m on a really limited budget would you say an overdrive or a fuzz pedal is more versatile for Gilmour, particularly dark side and animals for me?

    • @gilmourishofficial
      @gilmourishofficial  3 года назад

      Depends on your amp and what tones you're looking for. See this feature on my site for some tips www.gilmourish.com/?p=7115

      @@gilmourishofficial my only problem now is that I’m using a 10 watt active speaker and so I would assume it would be similar to a hi watt because speakers would generally want more mids for vocals. I could be wrong this is just my thought process.

    Hi Bjorn, I just wanted to thank you for your amazing work on gilmourish. Your tone guides have helped me understand the importance of mid-range and what else to look for in every piece of gear. Recently I got my first own guitar rig consisting of an Ibanez RG421, Marshall DSL1, and a Boss Blues Driver (thanks to your Gilmour on a Budget video 😉). I have been having fun dialing in tones and I will use your guides for any other piece of gear that I might need in the future (like a delay pedal). Oh, and your playing is also very inspiring.

    I can't tell if it's the pedal or the combination of pedal and bridge pickup, but it generates a very good On an Island tone. Nice playing.

      That's a Japanese CIJ Fender 65 reissue that I bought new around 2005. It's a 7.25" and I think it's based on similar specs as one of the Eric Johnson models. A dream to play!
