I used to take voice lessons from Lecresia Campbell in the 90s when she lived in Chicago.... She's such a AWESOME person, spirit, heart and gift.... I'm at work and listening to her ... Now she's singing in the Heavenly choir 💛🙏🏾

I was visiting a church in Baltimore, MD Ms. Campbell happened to be visiting as well. I wasn't familiar with her. I was blown away by her voice. FB was new I befriend her we would correspond from time to time. We I didnt see her online I inquired found out she was ill. Im devastating of the news of her passing. What a phenomenal voice. Truly missed.
Lecreasia Campbell was an awesome example of how "true worship" of God should sound! She allowed the Holy Spirit to have his way with her gift, and edified the church, which brought tears of surrender for her too!
Today, I am mourning the passing of a Psalmist that sang to my spirit. Her music captured my spirit. Thank you Lord for the opportunity to have heard your servant sing the gospel of the kingdom.

Tomorrow is not promised to any of us, so "Keep your Head, to the Sky". I did shed tears tonight, upon reading of the event, but kept my composure b/c I'm at work right now. So my prayers & support go out to her surviving family, friends, and admirers. Lecresia was truly blessed of the Lord, with talent like that. I'm glad she used her talent to minister on behalf of Our Lord and Savior. I will confess, I believe my favorite performance was when Lecresia sang lead on "Touch Me", with the Edwin Hawkins Music & Arts Seminar Chicago Mass Choir. I can listen to that cut a hunnid+ times, and never get tired of her voice, and the choirs' presentation of that message. RIP, songbird. We love you. And thank you M. Each of us have gifts poured into us by the hand of God. Lecresia knew who she was and what she possessed. Even though she did not get the record deals she deserved, she sang anyway. Now, she can walk around heaven all day singing with the rest of the angelic hosts!
This was the song that described her best. If she had been here to see it, I’m most certain she would have liked and appreciated it. No I don’t know Ms Lacresia, but looking at the pics let me know that she was someone special and could get the word of God in song out there to the world. By looking at her pics they tell me that she was saved, humbled, a great singer and believer in God, when she spoke words of the Lord Jesus, she lived by them! This is what we need to do, start living Gods way and not our own! Thank you Jesus for your gift of decernment.
