Melvin Crispell the III was endowed, gifted anointed and blessed with his parents musical talents and gifting. I know he was on Sunday's best but I think he woud have gotten to this level whether he appeared on that show or not, just because of who his parents were. I miss both of them so much. I'm sure that as he's being groomed by different artists, he will learn a lot more. 🙂😇

Donnie old school. He trying to pull vocal quality out of them. Skills are one thing but quality is a big picture technique. They are crazy skilled but so are many others they will encounter at churches they will travel to in their careers. But not many have full quality. I can see them getting there in their own unique ways! God will always make room for your purpose through the gifts He gave! God Bless them on their journey and keep them and their gifts under your wings!! Sing for Jesus loves!!

As long as he treats his voice correctly and knows how to sing from his diaphragm and not from his throat which could damage his vocal cords, he will be fine. Plus the fact that his gift is anointed by God he has no worries!
When I see him aging it just makes me feel so sad cause It’s always the beginning of the end. I love him so much that I don’t know how I’ll react to the fact that there’re very few vocalist like Donnie who are filled with the true spirit of God which when just listening their songs it brings you straight into the presence of God!! 😭 . These are ministers who dwell in the midst of prayers all the time other than singing. Because it’s only prayers that makes a beautiful singer dynamic and their songs spirit filled! I love you Donnie!!

I'm glad Donnie McClurkin is mentoring Melvin. He has a lot of growing to do vocally and professionally. I hate that we put people up because they can do vocal tricks. For Gospel, it takes anointing, vocal agility (yes), range, power, and a bit of showmanship. And you can still win souls for Christ ✊🏽❤

The issue is the modern church has become so self indulged .... if no response sing harder , hit more high notes , growl blah blah that is not of God....... ministering isn’t about self. Can she sing yes does she overisng yes. Even on Sundays best Johnathan had to remind Melvin hey tell the story first then open up a little....... FACTs people b goin off for runs and all the antics but let a singer ie Carrie Underwood sing they jus as dry no applause or nothing but when a Christina bell starts doin extra they wana yell.. same things with pastors .. we are moved off the wrong things ... We sure can’t see the heart but GOD can. I love to sing but I don’t/can’t do runs. It’s because 1) He didn’t bless me with that particular gift. If I practiced everyday- I would never do them 2) I loved our choir. It was an awesome ministry- but almost no one leading did runs. So… I didn’t hear it. I didn’t emulate it. It did not grow on me. However… Melvin heard all of the rifts and runs growing up. So. I don’t believe anyone can say he’s in himself. Only God knows. I bet this is a sweet sweet sound in the Lord’s ear❤❤❤
