I have a 2016 Civic Coupe and love it - the driving position, steering and handling are just a joy to use daily.
My take on the Civic Si is that the Type R is overshadowing it, but by all accounts it's a great little car as well.
Don't know why all the Honda hate on YT - Honda has been making fantastic cars for years now, offering a lot in even the base model. Thanks for the great walk-through! Beautiful car.

so let me get this straight, we waited all these years for that crazy mark up price, which scares buyers, which translates into low sales or maybe slow sales, which aslo makes honda think twice about production numbers for 2020. all that greed from dealership messes up the relationship between the buyer and honda, how are enthusiast that can afford a 35k-41k$ suppose justify that ridiculous mark up.
I was waiting and watching at my dealership while they unload my type R from the truck. Took it home right away.
The fwd and 4 cylinder is what I wanted! That’s classic with all type r civics. It’s what all Honda junkies want. It’s perfect because all the Honda Civic type r’s before had that front wheel drive and that classic V-Tec 4 cylinders. In a Ford, nah do all wheel drive, in this, give it its roots. (P.S I’m not a Ricer.)

Beautiful car, especially in the Championship White. Given all Type R cars are advertised with this color since the 1996 EK9, I think this should be the only color for the car.
The demand & markup is rather insane however. Maybe next year?

Doug Demuro said the parking sensors are just blanks. Apparently Honda didn't put them in these cars and just left an impression as if they are functional. They are useless
They are on the European ones, but Honda didn't want to make 2 different bumpers.

Looks great. I probably would have titled it in-depth walk around since you haven't driven it yet. I was really wanting to see and hear you opinion on the ride just like Honda Laura's video. They mentioned that due to the thickness of the tires you only get like 10,000 miles on a set. I'm loving my ex-l that I got last week. Thanks for your awesome review video. I think yours and 3 others really sold me on the car. Wish some of the side vents and spoiler were options on the regular civic hatchback. They really make the car pop.
On the prototype Type R the ContiSport 6s lasted for around 3k miles on the front tyres.

i personally love the vehicle itself although the hp isnt as impressive i believe the styling and aerodynamics of it make the car THE car. But honestly the mark up price of close to 45k-60k is wayy too overpiced for a 4 cylinder with around 300hp more or less front wheel drive.i hope in the future to get one but at this price point might as well get a jdm legend such as a rx7 or supra and work your way up. if prices go around 25k due to deprivation i may consider it an option as i was always a type r fan. what do yall think??
