Wow, what an amazing video!!! I felt like I was right there with you guys the whole time, smelling the fumes from the Petro 94, and hearing all of the sounds that are there during the first start of the engine in the 500. Hearing the good vibrations from the open headers, man it just doesn't get any better than that. I had a smile on my face the during the entire video and a tear in my eyes as well. George you did an incredible job on this video, everything was spot on, the camera angles the sound, and I didn't even mind sitting on the tire machine, lol. You made me feel like I was part of the entire experience, and I thank you for that. Nick & Manny thank you so much for all of your hard work over the entire build. The 500 looks better than it ever has, and you have exceeded my expectations throughout the build. Another muscle car saved by Nick's Garage, The best little garage in Laval Quebec, with a giant reputation. The ending of the video was very special for me, and 100 Bikes For Kids, thank you so much.
The charger 500 is my favorite variant of the 68-70 charger, they are so much better looking than the super bee and still have all the nascar heritage and the serious powerplants.
My father had a black on black 1968 dodge charger when I was a kid,I would get so excited riding in that car with him,so much power was amazing, this 69 500 sounds just like his car did the 440 beautiful job you guys have done with this car, much respect
with the war on our doorstep in Europe I don't watch the car videos and Nick's too, but I didn't want to miss this one, the first start of this magnificent restoration. Congratulations to all the team .🇲🇫🇺🇦
Nick, as you know, this great car is listed on the 1969 Dodge Charger 500 Registry! It shows it being restored by Nick's Garage. The color is rare! What a great car!
I know what it takes to restore a car like that. Everything on the car has been removed, refurbished or replaced. A lot of hard work and patience to get there, and everything works well. Great job
It was great to see Eugene! Thanks George for hookin all that up. Can't wait to see him get the car.. The color is perfect. If Nick goes to that car show in Illinois he has to bring Kowalski to sit next to the 500 at the show. That would bring the house down.
WOW WOW WOW.. IT'S ALIVE ... NICK AND MANNY your a very special pair of nice people... I wanted to also tell you NICK I got your package 📦 today in the mail and I WILL WEAR EVERYTHING WITH PRIDE AND SPREAD THE GREAT WORD OF NICKS GARAGE.... I thank you NICK 😊 your a very special guy (( LET ME TELL YOU )).I know I sad this before to you NICK I just have to say it AGAIN ... Good morning Eugene, It is a cold Tuesday morning here in Melbourne & boy haven't we ALL been waiting for this moment in history. About to watch the video throughout the day. Congratulations Cheers Louis 👍
The BEAST is alive! What an Amazing Achievement from Nick and his staff! Nick you are the Man!! 👍💪😁 Eugene, the Streets of Texas will soon have tire marks, all thanks to Indy Auto!
How exciting to see this come together and hear that baby run! Watching through all the work was such a great experience. Hats off to Nick and everyone that helped. Nice car Eugene!
Makes me think of my first car. It was put together from a wrecked 65 Ford Galaxie and a stripped 67 Mercury Marquis. The engine was a 352 T-bird engine and had a lot of miles on it. Once I got it warmed up, it would start with just a bump on the starter. I wish I still had it and could put it in top shape again. I would build the engine to original specs because it was too wild for me when it was worn out. I once had the car on an icy hill turned about 45 degrees across the road with the speedometer reading about 85 mph. She inched up the hill with my brother screaming that we were going to die. That old girl would flat out fly. I only took her to top end once and she was well over 120 after coasting down for about a tenth of a mile. That broke me from wanting to race because I nearly went off the left side of the highway when I let off the gas. I really miss that car.
What a precious build, hats off to all those who have contributed to this car, and to such a stunning rare car also for us to enjoy as Eugene did back in 69. Imagine driving this car back then must of been amazing. For those of us who have drove a limited edition performance car off a fore court is making memories, it makes a man happy for the rest of our lives. But mainly Nick and his team to accomplish this to such detail is priceless, WELL DONE !
Such a memorable night! 3 grown men absolutely loving and expressing their feelings for such a legendary car. Brought back to life by men who share their passion and experiences with us. I can say without a doubt this was my favorite show from Nick's Garage! Thank you so much for sharing it with us! Bravo 👏
Incredible y'all. Congratulations Eugene, Nick and crew. That is a amazing car and a Incredible build. Well done. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this journey. It has been a very exciting ride. Eugene, thank you for the love that you have given this piece of history. She will be around for another 50 plus years.
Congratulations Eugene, your dream is now a reality thanks to Nick`s Garage. Been a loooong wait, but she is absolutely stunning. Nick, Manny, George, and the rest of the crew that worked on this car, thank you. Outstanding job guys. Great camerawork George. Stay safe all, God Bless. ❤ that Charger 500. Bye bye tires😁 Eugene, God Bless you Sir for your work with 100 bikes for kids.
Everyone should click like, and remember George's amazing Camera, Sound and Production work! We wouldn't be here without that! (Hat's off to Nick and team of course as well!!)
I was hooked on Mopar from the day my neighbor who was 2 years older then me picked me up for school in his 1 week old 69-1/2 440 6pk Road Runner. Whether racing or just cruising, B-bodies were all around awesome and easy to work on. Chrysler nailed it back in that era...to bad most of us didn't see that it was all going to come to an end. In '04 I had the itch for something fast and old and so I bought a southern '69 Coronet 500, HP383 ragtop that had gone thru a cosmetic resto 20 years earlier, it saw road time then it was parked in a barn for maybe 5 years. Seller picked me up in it from the airport and WOWWW I was impressed with how nice it still was so we went to his shop where we did the deal and I drove it 800 miles home. That car was confused for a Charger ragtop from time to time due to the tail panel. Other then storing it in winter there was rarely a time I didn't drive that car there after. Yeah but then I ran across an almost completely restored 70 Road Runner 383 air grabber car on Ebay. Talk about loyalty anxiety...2 great cars to drive and only one of me. To satisfy the addiction I needed next a Challenger or Cuda but that never happened. Well it was a great 9 year run but had to sell them. Seeing a born again Mopar like Eugene's 500, I do grieve over the loss of my 2, I'm envious too but happier then all get out that he was able to put the brand back to it's former prowess and glory. The car is breath taking, congratulations Eugene!
Congratulations to Nick and the crew on a magnificent restoration of a truly rare and iconic car. And congratulations to Eugene on having such a wonderful car and for choosing one of the best to bring it back to life. It is truly a beautiful car with a special place in automotive history. My hat is off to everyone involved with it.
This video is the most awesome I've ever seen!!! Eugene's car is a rare masterpiece the build, the passion, the love, the peace, the dedication, this car is beautiful. Nick and everyone thank you for the tears the sweat and hard work of these muscle men. My heart starts racing with joy when I saw the burnout's this is one fast car. Eugene's reaction is priceless beyond words and so interesting and educational and beautiful.
I was on the Lexington in 1981 in Pensacola FL. back when it was still used as a training carrier. I was at photo school and other than a destroyer, it was the only ship I was on in the Navy.
The "Lady Lex" originally had a wood deck that was covered with a steel deck. She also served in Viet Nam and broke in many Naval Aviators to take off and landings on a carrier. Went throughout the Gulf, yes even off of Cuba back in the day. Her other port of call and land airbase was " B " town, South Texas. They used to have planks of the original flight deck in the mess on display.
I feel excited for Eugene. To be able to have the car he purchased new 53 years ago newly restored to better than new condition has to be an amazing feeling! I would give just about anything to have my first car again and in new condition
The SLP/Ed Hamburger connection took me back to the 80:s when I ordered a big chunk of parts for my 65 Dart 360 in Finland, the shipping documents were signed by Ed himself!
I can't imagine the cost of that restoration, but the value of that gem today would be priceless. Beautiful restoration, better than it was from factory.
@@ToyKingWonder So true, that old girl's in tough shape. I guess she won't have any big holes when there done with her, but will she be safe is the question regardless of speed. But she'll sure make a great conversation piece and show candy for the mancave. i know it it were mine i'd probably park her in the living room just to look at her 24/7, and never want to take it on the street for fear of someone running into her while going through a stop sign not paying attention type thing.
Beautiful car ! I had a new 1975 Pontiac grand prix sj with a 455 motor and a four barrel carburetor. Man red and white with white leather bucket seats , sun roof and a aftermarket continental trunk lid. My favorite car I ever had !
I've had a big smile on my face the whole time I watched this video. I loved the 69 Charger and now drive a 2013 Charger SXT. Paid a lot more money than Eugene paid for his.
Eugene you have an absolutely stunning 500! I was 16 in 69 an remember, and miss those glorious days of the truth MUSCLE CARS. Would love to be able to take a cruise in yours!
It was so good to see the old girl move under her own power. I have been watching the show since the day the 500 arrived. It was nice to see you guys giddy as school girls😎 I was myself. Great video.
I couldn't wait to see this video finally. I half jumped out my seat when she fired up. Awsome car and awsome restoration by Nick and his awesome staff. Well done guys. This just puts a smile on my face watching this.
Eugene that is one bad ass muscle car. Love the color & that nasty cam is awesome in that 440. Super kudos to Nick & his team for another restoration well done. Take care of that girl & show her proud!
I am almost as excited as you all are, I've been following this project from the beginning, I am thrilled how you and your whole crew have dedicated yourself to this build. Simply the best.
Very nice '69 Charger 500. Brings back memories of my B5 Blue '69 Charger R/T that was a factory original 4-speed car with a 3.54 Dana from Mr. Norms Dodge which I sold back in 1996. Selling it was the worst mistake I ever made..
Waited for this night sense it first was brought in for restoration…. It’s been incredible to see the progress over the past couple years Proud Poppas Right Here
WOW this is so epic, all that perfect restoration work, how could it be less than awesome! Best video all year! Nice camera work! Congratulations to all!!!
Hello To Nick and the team who poured in so much blood, sweat and love into this beautiful Charger 500. The car looks like a million dollars. The paint colour is amazing and the decal over the rear 1/4's and trunk helps set it off, the chrome trim as George was moving past the drivers door and it reflected the light back into the camera I just fell in love right then. Hearing that big 440ci engine start up for the first time in 47 years was just music to the ears. I could feel that big mopar rumbling in my lounge room. My 1510 watts hifi made it sound real and as if I was there with you all. Fantastic journey Nick and the team at Indy Autos has let us share in. Hello Eugene, Thank you for giving us the privilege in joning in the special event of restoring such a rare peice of US motoring history. Owning a car since new 53 years ago and then restoring it to new condition was a wonderful thing you could do for Nicks Garage, his team and us RUclips subscribers. It was no small undertaking to spend all those resources to restore the car, but look at the Charger 500 now! I followed along every video to see this dusty old car turn from dents and rusty parts to what is now the sweetest, coolest, rarest Charger 500 to ever rumble the world as I am sure it will over the next many years Hearing the pride in your voice over the work done on your rare car brought tears to my eyes. I hope you injoy your beautiful car for many years to come. To Nick, I love the shirt your wearing, "Peace Love & Muscle Cars". Much love and respect To Nick and the team Indy Auto
Eugene can you imagine that you took a chance on a small shop in a small town in Quebec canada and in doing so have been blessed with a true beauty any Mopar guy or any guy for that matter would love to own your car it looks GREAT!!!!!!
This is awesome in so many ways Nick. To see the Charger 500 alive since 75. The effort gone into restoration and seeing Eugene watching its first start. Well done to everyone involved. Nick, George, Manny and Eugene thank you for letting us all see this happen 😁👍
Just watched the initial start-up and I was immersed in feelings not normally associated with cars! Pride, awe, respect, happiness, gratitude, … What a great trail of fantastic people! Everyone that has laid a finger on this project for the past 2 years has been stellar! A special tip of the hat to EUGENE! It takes a lot of fuel to keep a fire burning so long! Thank you for that, and thank you your service! You, sir, are someone I’d love to shake the hand of!

Many won't understand that feeling of months or even years of hard work come to fruition. The sound and feel if that day will never leave you.
The charger 500 is my favorite variant of the 68-70 charger, they are so much better looking than the super bee and still have all the nascar heritage and the serious powerplants.
You can't get better people than Nick and crew.
Rattling big old engines!
Nothing better……ever

Eugene this is Better Than Christmas !
I love that Eugene choose to keep the original color! Great job Nick and Manny.
Right!
Makes me think of my first car. It was put together from a wrecked 65 Ford Galaxie and a stripped 67 Mercury Marquis. The engine was a 352 T-bird engine and had a lot of miles on it. That broke me from wanting to race because I nearly went off the left side of the highway when I let off the gas. I really miss that car.
The only thing that would make this video better is a little CCR on in the background. God I love that sound.
I can't imagine what it would be like getting delivery of a brand new immac Charger 500 in 2022/3. Yeeeessss. Top job Nick, from Perth West Australia.

Small town? Nick’s is Laval, a part of greater Montreal area, population 4,000,000!!!
@@danielomalley4394 400,000.
Mr. Hoppe , i was talking about greater MTL area, not Laval itself!
@@danielomalley4394 Ya. That sounds about right.
@@hoppes9658 : When I came to Canada in 1951 (I’m still here) Montreal was Canada’s largest city.
That thing is sick. Wow what a car!!.......Nick knows how to build a nice mopar!
This is awesome in so many ways Nick. To see the Charger 500 alive since 75. The effort gone into restoration and seeing Eugene watching its first start. Well done to everyone involved. Nick, George, Manny and Eugene thank you for letting us all see this happen 😁👍
Right on!
It's not mine and I'm getting chills. From West Haven, CT.,thank you for this video. To " All " ,stay safe.
Just watched the initial start-up and I was immersed in feelings not normally associated with cars! Pride, awe, respect, happiness, gratitude, …
What a great trail of fantastic people! Everyone that has laid a finger on this project for the past 2 years has been stellar!
A special tip of the hat to EUGENE! It takes a lot of fuel to keep a fire burning so long! Thank you for that, and thank you your service!
You, sir, are someone I’d love to shake the hand of!
Thank you Deuce, I hope that happens sometime. I would be glad to shake your hand.
180 MPH + Creative bill and the Fowler bill of sale from Sparta N.J. This car is hard, Eugene. Drive it and thank you Nick for taking us through. Wow!
Eugene so lucky, restored, ready to rock the road. I hope Eugene drives it often, smiles big, and enjoys the ride.
Us too!
What a beautiful charger 500! Nick and his team did an excellent job resurrecting it. Nick was the right person to restore it.
I agree.
