can you explain the wood board i put one because my prints keep smudging but i cant get the right position
Amazing video! Question: This printer would print about 5-6 prints / hour from what i gather. I have a conveyor dryer that i dont want to keep running all hour for 5 minutes of drying. How long can i wait after applying the powder to cure? Can i apply the powder and leave them and then batch cure them all at once? in bulk? so i dont have the dryer on all hour long in between prints? Thank you in advance.

Hello, I am new to this so I am hoping that you could help me. I have downloaded Cadlink and I have my Epson 8550 setup but when I print it try's to save the image rather than print. Is there any suggestion on how to change this setting?

Does Cadlink put ink on the sheets of film?? Because I have the printer converted sheets are going through but I’m getting no ink on the sheets do I need cadlink????
Could you tell us what you use to level the sheets, my printer damages the designs since the sheet is uneven and the head moves the white ink 😓
just set my 8550 up. I imported my print and it printed the white ink like a background on the picture I was printing. can you help with that

Hey LaTonna!!! That's my next printer. I have a 15000 that I purchased for eco-solvent. I just haven't set it up, yet. Do you this the 8550 will be a better choice?
@@CraftableThings if its the xp-15000 both have the same max print resolution and print at 1.5 picoliters and I think both print 13x19. if its the et-15000 that specs are different. That one prints a lower solution photo but still nice for what we are doing. The ET- 8500 and the XP-15000 both produce more colors sincethey have 6 channels, so between the 2 it comes down to whether you want to deal with cartidges or tank. I would choose a the tank because the eco-solvent inks clog seriously. if is the et 15000 I would still choose the tank over the cartdiges even at reduced resolution for ease of use. hope this helps
I bought the 8550 thinking I would convert it to dtf. I decided I wasn’t ready for dtf yet so converted it to eco solvent. I love it!

Hello with Cadlink can you add multiple images to print at once? I have an erasmart with Acrorip 9 and I’m only able to print one image at a time. TIA
Do you mean like a gang sheet or back to back images? Either way, if you use a software like PS or AI you can add your images to one sheet then save as png or svg then import to Cadlink to print. But it's possible to do a gang sheet in cadlink as well. After importing your images to print, nest them all. You should then be able to manipulate for sizing and proper fitting. But I am using the latest version of Cadlink

Hi thank you for the video and for going on details. I'm deciding if buying a dtf printer or a cricut for same purpose, making tshirts print. Which one would you recommend between cricut and dtf printer? I would have many white small logos to heat transfer and occasionally big prints. I already have a sublimation system but I need to heat transfer white on cotton tshirts.

2 different things. dtf has not cutting involved. Cricut is strictly for cutting out designs. DTF only prints on top of a film, no weeding and you cure it and press it to shirt.

Hello, what do I do if my printer is no longer reading my DTF Film when I try to print? I have the same printer that you are using in the video?

I haven't run into this problem but I have heard of a couple different solutions: one is to apply a strip of tape to the feeding edge on the backside of the film so that the printer sees the film; the other is to add the film only after you hit print and the printer asks to fill the paper source. I would probably try this one first since it doesn't require too much more effort. Let us know if this works for you.

You need to remove the rollers and you have to have a RIP software to control the colors: DTF inks not the inks that come with the printer.
When my printer has to print white it doesn't come out and when I need black it comes out white I need your help I have followed all your steps with the printer I have put the inks in the same way as you but it doesn't come out could you help me I'm from Spain

If you can’t shake the ink then what do you do, to prevent it from coagulating? And messing up the whole printer?
What about an electric toothbrush? Vibrate the tank. I can think of other things but you get the idea.

How is your Epson 8550 DTF printer? Is it still work and could you tell me how do you deal the white ink being that you have no access to ink cartridges?
The 8550 is an awesome printer. I just recently converted one. There are some great tutorials here on YT. And you may get someone who will respond to your questions. You can refill the tanks with syringes. It's easy and not as timely as it sounds. But you can install an external CISS system as well.
Can I just print from photoshop with cadlink?

I have done many prints using eco tanks Sublimation and its amazing how the ink lasts for a long time , will the DTF ink be the same ? You can put the colors in whatever tank you prefer, as long as you have 2 white, a black, a yellow, a cyan and a magenta.

I feel very frustrated because I have invested a lot of money, I transformed my Epson 8550 thanks to one of your videos, I bought Adobe Illustrator but I had never used it but I took the risk because I thought it was not going to be very difficult and there is not enough information for the process since zero to prepare an image. I don't know what else to do 😕

Okay that’s what’s wrong with my first couple of prints. I did t take the roller out for one. The other one is, the colors are in but the white didn’t cover the colors.

maybe something isn't removed. Once, the rollers are gone, there is nothing to streak the image.

Also for dtf how often do you need to buy ink? Does it run out fast? Looking into buying one for dtf and all the supplies but trying to do the math on if it’s worth it.

You can control how much ink you use, and the design complexity. But it uses not much more ink than printing on eco solvent vinyl or regular inkjet printing. And the 8550 is the best model to buy. Do yourself a favor and save $3000 and buy the 8550 and convert it yourself. Thank me later. Most of the issues with this are USER ERROR. Not on the printer. It’s been hassle free out of the box. Those procolored ones will clog on you shortly after using if you can even get it to work properly the first time.
How long did u keep it in the oven?
320 degrees for 20 seconds.

What paper do you use on your ET 8550
For DTF it's a film not paper. Unless you're using it for regular printing then it accepts paper up to 13"x19" for borderless prints. Happy Printing😁

Hi, great video. I'm not too certain your information is correct about that non necessity of white ink on a white shirt though. In my personal experience, a layer on white ink is necessary for the adhesive to properly adhere to the shirt. You can still print and press without white ink but the washability will be terrible and will likely peel/flake after the 1st wash and sometimes even before the 1st wash. I've personally experienced this with white shirts.
