- ussoccer.com presents the entire game of the classic FIFA World Cup Qualifier between the USA and Mexico from Feb. 28, 2001. Bruce Arena's U.S. team faced its arch-rival in the first match of the Hexagonal in front of a memorably partisan crowd at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Goals from Josh Wolff and Earnie Stewart as well as a famously cold and pro-U.S. atmosphere helped the USA to all three points.

On this day thirteen years ago, the USA beat Mexico in a classic World Cup qualifier (with a classic scoreline too!). Here's the full game for your long lunch hour today:
love it!
Hope we can do it again soon! :)
Me too bro .
yeah
Yeah it is ...I hope USA win ..
'Dos a cero!' all began here on this day.
I like how the crowd is on top of the field. Is it still like that at Columbus?
I was at this game! Soooo Cold & Even More Cold! Saw Brian Get Hurt Right Infront Of me! Love the Comlumbus Crew Stadium!
Love it. Just one of many "dos-a-cero" US wins over Mexico. Thanks for posting this.
Please post more full games, US Soccer!
Man...this team was special.
lol that sign that said NY COSMOS 2003 didnt come to be until 10 years later
As too as he was, I remember that as one of his faults, Campos coming out too far and too soon
There was once a time when (not too long ago, may I add) Nigeria was in the Top 30, and USA wasn't.
Typical Mexico when they're losing during the last 15 minutes.
1:20:55 - Mexico doesn't give the courtesy
1:34:49 - Mexico throws forearm to the face
next year they would beat mexico in the world cup best of 16
Neta que sí
Wolf 51:30
Stewart 1:32:13
XD I love how the commentators are totally biased to the U.S. in all calls. I live there its just not fiar.
is that guy Wolf still playing pro football?
Marquez got a yellow card? Shocking stuff
anyone still suspicious about those "vitamin supplements"?
Good*
How does it feel that to make a "competitive" team, with mexicans?, There doesnt exist any "Clasico" with you, or when have you seen brazilians playing with Argentina?
