He truly succeeded in being a horrible person. When he said that line "she must have screamed" I remember physically cringing. Only amazing actors can do that to people.
I never noticed him before I saw this movie. He seems like such a sensible and compassionate guy in reality, it was amazing that he was able to portray such an awful evil human being in the film. He really made George Harvey come to life, made my skin crawl every time he was on the screen.
@GablesHorse Yes, he has children. But acting is just a job. He is not Mr. Harvey in real life. So why should his children be scared of him? He is just there dad. But I have to admit, as Mr. Harvey he scared me too.
I love Stanley =) such an amazing actor, wish he got more credit. I can't think of a movie where I didn't believe he was the character he was portraying. Hope he stays around for a long time! (I'm glad he was sweet to Soairsa too=))
What an amazing interview! Tucci always seems to be very professional, intellectual and cool. But then he starts to talk about the holidays and his kids and suddenly he seems to be a totaly different, warmhearted person. Think, for a few seconds he allows us to see him without his disguise.
I found it really creepy to see him in this character after seeing him as the sweet Nigel in The devil wears prada xD big compliment for Stanley! the way he could put this character down :)
His character was straight from my nightmares! You really start thinking that one day, it all might happen to you...That character....I've never loved the man very much..but that character he played...I bow to Harvey Tucci...You know what's scary..that character is somewhere deep inside him..otherwise he would have not played it soo well... o.O
He feels repulsed by playing a creep? Well, not everyone can fully immerse themselves to their inner psychos like Daniel Day-Lewis or Christian Bale, and still find those experences as a "joy". I'm excited to watch this movie, though :)
OMG stanley is soooo sweet but I just HATE him as harvey I was cussing him all the movie he really did a great job to be that character !! seriously the lovely bones is awesome 9/10
He still scares me even though he is a nice man in real life ... amazing actor. Does he have kids? no offence i would be soo scared of him if he was my dad after that movie!
this guy is probably the nicest guy in the world but if i saw him i would see him as this creepy killer and would automatically not like him because of this roll..srry.. anybody feel the same???
wait, he was AWFUL in this movie!!! It was SO obvious he was an actor doing a performance, he didnt become the rold in any sense. Awful performance. BUT... He should've been nominated for Julie and Julia
the whole film i'm like "i where do i know this guy from? he looks vaguely familiar"... it's only until the credits rolled when i saw the name i was like omg! great actor, great performance... when they make you forget who they really are, and when they make you hate them, you know that's a fine piece of acting work right there....
Whenever I get too creeped out by Mr. Harvey, I just remind myself that Stanley Tucci played the best gay guy in Devil Wears Prada.

i adore Stanley Tucci!! he is such a great actor and amazing director!!
That guy looked exactly like my dad in the film, that was the creepiest part in the movie for me... Also, the cliff part scared because of that.
