    Travis, thank you for this, I was unable to see the race and was looking forward to the race highlights, blows my mind that Ironman doesn’t do them. They should pay you for promoting their events so eloquently!

      The live coverage was absolutely horrible. No idea how Travis still makes such good highlights

      @@miguelpfeffermannlive coverage was fine IMO. They got the battle for 2nd on tape in the Men’s which was the most important single moment.

      @@emf6621 if you only watched like the last 15minutes, yeah. But that doesn’t make up for the 3:15h before that

    Hot take: Lionel still wins with a full length swim :D

    • @yesitis1395

      Barely a warm take. Pretty obvious. As of current shape, only Marquardt was even a theoretical threat.

    • @triathlontimmy
      @triathlontimmy 3 месяца назад +1

      how is that a hot take? Lionel won this race in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2022. Basically every time he's raced it.

      Heard he cheated. Apparently he had small propellers in his wetsuit according to sources course side. To know more messages me for further details detailing the incident

    See ZERO reason to shorten (then cancel part) of the swim. Ruined the race for many. Over cautious organizers IMHO. It’s supposed to be hard.

  • @mikeflanagan4096

    Why was the swim shortened? The water looked smooth. Temperature??

    • @andrewbeck2422
      @andrewbeck2422 3 месяца назад +1

      Wind and rain had made visibility pretty bad earlier. And they delayed the start for a better opening

    • @ryanclose1
      @ryanclose1 3 месяца назад

      Water temp was 71F. It was shortened because very heavy rain and winds. What he didn't mention however is that conditions got far worse for the Age Groupers. I was racing that day and a storm cell rolled in while I was swimming. Waves got high and splashed over our heads on every breath. I heard several people on both side of me yelling for help. The paddleboarders and kayakers were having difficulty recovering the swimmers in need due to the high winds. They ended up canceling the swim. They sent boats to retrieve the athletes still in the water, though I managed to finish the swim. It was chaotic. Those that couldn't swim got to do the bike/run.

    Some of these guys are deep into anabolics/steroids. How come they are puting so many miles in training and getting so muscleur ! No way! They should be so trimmed!

    I attempted to watch part of the race but the number of commercial breaks (and length) during Ironman races is insane. It makes it unwatchable. T100 is doing so much better with coverage. I really enjoy being able to pause and rewind for those races.

    Mate, you're doing a better job at this than Ironman themselves. They are going to trash and you are literally saving their ass. Thank you for putting this video together. I really hope they are paying you well for that. And if they don't, you know what to ask them! Even went through the trouble of adding the faces of the athletes as you're mentioning them! It's a small thing but it showcases your attention to details! Kudos mate!

    Once again the winner L Sanders and 3rd place M Marquardt had excellent results coming off enforced layoffs, Lionel with the broken rib issues and Mathew said he was only able to run 50km in the previous 6 weeks! As per the previous IM PS race. Great races to watch, thank goodness we had vision on the race for second

    FYI, I've stopped watching anything that says Jackson Laundry has a chance versus Sanders. Haven't seen the womens highlights yet, but if there is any of this Salthouse gives Findlay a good race, I'm going to delete the channel. These veterans are not reinventing themselves one single bit. ANY of them. Sanders included.

      You have a ton of opinions for an age grouper. Hey, so do I. Maybe if I don't eat all this ice cream I can bike faster. Maybe I should swim more. Maybe you should calm down. Who knows. 🤷🏻‍♂️
