Pretty front yard❤
Oh Pat, I sure wish I could go into my sewing room and sew on my WIPS! I live in Tennessee but right now I’m in Montana where I had knee replacement surgery and I’m recovering there at my daughter’s house. I won’t be home until June 29th. So, thank you for keeping me happy watching your you tube videos!! ❤
Thank you for the shout-out about Learning Disability Day. As someone who taught
individuals who were Learning challenged for 31 one years I couldn't agree with you more that we all need to be aware of and understanding towards those who struggle with these challenges.
Your front porch is beautiful
Your garden is beautiful and I’ve taken away some ideas for mine. Thanks for sharing 😊
Beautiful garden. I should order a butterfly bush!
Your butterfly and barn star quilts are so pretty!! And all done, Wahoo!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden with us. I try to do somekind of sewing everyday. I am now hooked on counted cross stitch now, along with making quilts. Enjoy your day and happy stitching.
So pretty!!
Lovely garden! Thank you so much for these videos, Pat, and for showing us a different coloration of the Piece & Quilt Sampler! I'm still learning color theory and you are such a good teacher in that area. I will be trying to use the same coloration as yours because it is BEAUTIFUL but will just use the scrap fabrics that I already have on hand.
Beautiful quilts and beautiful flower garden! Thanks for sharing your flower garden! :)
Love your garden!! We are currently at that time of year when we just hope to keep our plants alive in our really high temperatures.
Loving your flower garden. My Hydrangea is pink - I read somewhere the type of soil determines the colour it grows 🌼
I love, love, love when you show the binding and quilting chosen for the quilts. It inspires me to finish mine
that's great!
The pink flowers in your garden are called Lamb's Ear. The leaves are fuzzy and shaped like a lamb's ear. Beautiful garden.
Your front flower garden is beautiful...and the blue hydrangea...I love it! It's so pretty and I definitely need one!
The little black gingham binding is perfect for your pretty Barn Star Quilt. Congrats on the finish. This past weekend I quilted a top that I had made in 2021 (Yay me!). Thanks to your binding inspiration I plan on getting the binding on it today (it was already made too).
Your barn star sampler is so beautiful, Pat! Your garden is lovely. Hydrangeas are my favorite flower. Keep up the good work on your binding. ♥
Wow, your front garden is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.
Just dropping in to say that I truly enjoy your enthusiasm and very happy smile, but your giggles make me giggle in response. Thank you, Pat, for bringing such joy daily.
Beautiful garden! My hydrangeas are just starting to bloom and will be full like your bush.
Thanks for the demo on binding. I am a visual learner which is why I enjoy RUclips so much!
You are so welcome!
My son is dyslexic. He is now grown and doing well, but he had a difficult time when he was in school. I have learned that people eith this trait, do not just see letters bachwards, butvactually from all different angles which is why tthey are often wonderful artists, architects and designers. They can easily imagine and see things from all sides.
Well thanks for enabling me. Just ordered a green colorway fat quarter bundle on the sale you talked about.
Lovely catch up Pat. Asperger's syndrome runs in our family and yes I agree that people learn in many different ways and at their own pace. It would be a funny old world if we were all the same. Love your Barn Star quilt with the gorgeous greens.
I love hydrangeas, never have luck with them, but planted 3 last month, so we will see how they do.
Congrats on getting two quilts binder!!! Ya gotta love a finish and you have two! I machine bind mine as well. By the time I get to the binding of a quilt, I am ready to be done. I love all of your flowers in the front. They look great. Your barn star quilt looks amazing. I have the book, but missed getting the quilt kit so I haven’t figured out a fabric line I want to use yet. I’ll get one done eventually.
Hydrangeas are my favourite and makes me think of my dear mom ❤
I love flowers, too. Beautiful. And, congratulations on your binding and new blocks. ❤
You have a beautiful front garden! And the Barnstar quilt is gorgeous!,❤
Wow! It takes me longer than that to do a lap quilt’s binding! I do double binding, as that is what I learned. Quilt guilds and official QOV sites are real picky. I wouldn’t mind doing single binding for most of my stuff. So maybe I will convert over. 😉
I love my Liberty Box! It is very amazing! I love all your gorgeous flowers! Your Hydrangea is awesome!!
I too am a gardner and I love your garden. I am more of an organic vegetable gardner but love flowers also. Yours reminds me of an english cottage garden and I love the variety of colors, just beautiful!!
Your yard is so beautiful! Isn’t it fun to sit on the porch and enjoy all the beauty!
great quilts ,love the owl Pat
Love the hydrangea - my grandmother had beautiful blue ones which I could never get to grow for me. Also love the lavender. So pretty Pat.
I love to bind my quilts by machine. It is so satisfying.
I'm loving seeing your finished quilts Pat!!! And thank you for showing your flowerbed. It is gorgeous ❤
You and Greg have a beautiful front yard, great job!
Love your butterfly quilt. Turned it out so cute.
Your flowers are gorgeous! I’m in upstate NY this week. I feel like we brought the heat along with us from Arizona! 🥵. Hope your flowers enjoy their shady spot and that they like the heat! Loved the binding talk too!
Love the front garden!!! Thank you.
My granddaughter is differently abled. So sweet of you to include that as a celebration. Isn’t it amazing what 10 minutes of sewing can do for your spirit? And it eventually adds up and you really do make progress. ❤. Your garden is stunning!!
Beautiful garden. Loved the video
Beautiful front garden. And, yes, I've just begun paying attention to how long it takes me to sew my blocks, etc.
I love your front garden. It takes time to develop it that beautifully but I love the fact that everything is blooming and there’s so many perennials in there. I like garden too but yours is a lot neater and cleaner with last weeks of mine has right now. We’ve had a lot of rain. Hello, from Kansas❤
Loved your binding technique. Learned som4new that I will definitely use.
Your garden is beautiful and thank you for your time in making your videos. They are appreciated.
Front yard looks fabulous! Loved seeing it. You are just so inspiring, thank you so much for being you.
Beautiful quilts and gorgeous gardens😊
Oh my gosh, your front garden is beautiful! Especially the rose campion, lychnis, with silvery stems & purple/pink flowers. My mom always grew these in her garden. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Beautiful garden, Pat. The name of pink flower plant is lychnis.
your flowers in your garden are beautiful!!
That pretty tall dark pink flower is called Lamb’s Ear. It’s actually an invasive plant or weed. We have it growing everywhere! But it’s so pretty when it blooms, I let it go, then we usually pull it out. Always comes back somewhere. I guess it’s called Lambs Ear because the leaves are so soft. Not sure if there’s another name for it, but to us it’s Lambs Ear.
So pretty! Love the gingham binding.
Pat you should be very proud of your front yard and porch! It is gorgeous!
Your front yard is beautiful!
Gorgeous garden!!!! Thanks so much for sharing :)
Lovely garden so much color!
Your barnstar quilt is gorgeous!!! I love the fabric!!
Its beautiful
Cute shirt. I never see any Canadian quilt shirts. But am enjoying all yours. I may have to make my own quilting Canadian block and sew on a t shirt.
I am dyslexic and knew my daughter was from a very early age. I think its why she and i are very empathetic and understanding of others of all abilities. Thanks pat for all you share. 😊
Love your garden! The hydrangea is beautiful!! It is my daughter’s favorite!
Yay for your binding progress! Love the barn star quilt! And your flowers look awesome!
Your front yard is so beautiful, thank you for sharing!
Love your garden! Mine is almost all veggies. Thank you for sharing.
That Olive Green in the Quilt is to die for. it just is so Peaceful looking.
Oh the Barn Star sampler is just beautiful! ❤
Love your garden. So beautiful.
I sew everyday but not everyday on my machine. I hand sew applique and intend to do my quilts hand quilting. I also do crosstitch. Hoping to sew on my machine 2;to 3 times a week. Love your garden! Most perennials take 3 years before it does well
Fabulous to see everything today Pat - thanks. Loved your garden - wish I could get on to FB, but can't seem to manage it. Hope lots of people are enjoying the Fireside chats! Bindings are gorgeous that you did - Barn Star for the win.
thank you!
Your Barnstar is a beauty❤️you’ll have to put it on your bed. All your hard work showcased
Love it...3 out of 4 corners!! Me too!!
Pat I love your garden
I really like how you did the binding! I'm gonna try it that way next time. I've always finished it by hand because my machine binding never looked good, lol.
Your front yard flower bed is so pretty! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing the front garden! Lovely!
Your garden is beautiful!
Beautiful front garden 🎉
Your flowers are beautiful!
Pat the quilt with the finished binding is gorgeous!
I look forward to seeing your Barn Star quilt finished! I’m coming along with mine. I hope to have it done by 7/1 ! The flimsy anyway!
Beautiful garden!
I love your garden!!
Great goal to get your quilts bound and to get the biggest one done first is the way to go. Your flowers are beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
Love your front garden. It’s just beautiful. Your Barn Star Sampler is quilted and done and looks amazing. Thank you for sharing so much of your time and taken with us every week. 🥰
love your garden.
Such beautiful quilts♥️ I always love the colors you put together! Your flower garden is gorgeous 🌸💐
Sometimes when sewing binding on a quilt, I pull out several inches/feet, and put it over the back of my neck. Seems to flow better.
I wish there were more hours in a day and I would have had time to do the Barn Star. It had been so wonderful seeing everyone’s. Pat, the colors in yours are wonderful. It is gorgeous.
Your front yard is gorgeous and I love your barn star quilt! Is that Lella Boutique fabrics? Thank you for another great video and for showing us your yard.
Barn star quilt is beautiful ❤❤❤
Barnstable quilt is just fabulous!
Good morning from Schertz Texas
It seems like just a single fold binding wouldn’t be as durable as a double fold, especially with a quilt that will get a lot of use! Have you ever had a binding that wore through? I love that checkered binding though! Your yard is so pretty! Just this year we had concrete edging put in and instead of bark we put in small river rock on the edges. We wanted to make it as maintenance free as possible. It’s gorgeous!
I've never had binding wear through. Double binding ON BIAS is the most durable., So if you are making a quilt that NEEDS a durable binding then by all means use that. Does that make sense? You do what your project needs
Thank you for the tour of your beautiful flowers! So pretty...And the binding tour, too...Love it!
So inspiring today and I love your garden
I love your front garden - so pretty!
G05geous quilt
Thanks for showing your binding technique. The first I’ve seen it applied that way-no rules, right! I got the Liberty Box in the mail this weekend, my first from Fat Quarter Shop and I am a bit disappointed that I didn’t get everything needed to complete the top. I guess I need to read more carefully next time! I love the center piece and the fabric is beautiful. Of, my gosh, your flowers are doing so well! They look beautiful.
I try to sew 10 minutes every day.....haha, it usually turns into an hour or more
I finished a scrappy peice and quilt done but i really want to do anothwr one more controlled. Hopefully soon!
