Those bass are hoping you’d lift up a rock so a crayfish would shoot out. I snorkeled in LG a lot as a kid and the bass would always hang around for us to do that.
Great video. Lake George is my favorite place in the world but this is a view I'll never get to experience in person. Had no idea that there was a wagon in the lake. I notice the engine was missing, somebody must have dumped it there. The fish seem so friendly and really seemed to like the airplane.
I snorkeled a lot in LG . The large and small mouth bass would follow me while I picked up rocks. The crayfish would jet out and the bass would gobble them up!!
I'm planning on diving lake George and taking some 360 degree pictures, hopefully with a lot sea life and then using the blue-water-color remover software to remove the color of the water so that it looks like the fish, turtles and other sea life are floating in mid air. Does any have any suggestions of where to go? Around 40 feet deep and a lot of fish and wildlife would be ideal.
Great video! What did you film with? Did you use any special filters or lights? It came out fantastic considering the low vis at Lake George on most days. Just finished my open water cert at Hearthstone. Cool place!
Any more videos underwater? I’ve been camping at lake George for 30 years and I’ve never seen it from this perspective. Not really that great seeing vehicles in the lake though.
Thx for sharing, a few questions. How did a car get in the water...driving off 9N lol? Also how deep was it off the state park. Thanks in advance for entertaining my curiousity, I'm up at LG all the time
It can be 90-100 feet right there. We were between 30-65 I believe. I have no idea how the car got in there.... but I've seen some pretty dumb things such as driving on ice??? I am pretty sure this was sunk on purpose though.
Having fish become familiar with you and actually make it a point to greet you is truly a wonderful experience,
Paul Cornell taught me to dive about 25 years ago. A pleasant, kind teacher. So neat to see that memorial.

Wow Thnks!
Used to be a Stable Girl/ Horses 70 yrs ago there.
I didn't know of all the stuff in the water. Real cool. Can't wait to get back on the water!
They were put there by a local dive shop for training but when he left the area he never took them out.
Nice really clear water I live up here
Ryan Krieger I live an hour south of LG , but always loved going camping at Rogers rock for the summer. ❤️ LG
I go there every year. I salvaged a giant branch from the bottom of the lake last year
@@masterfarr8265 Lk Geo on and under is a NYS Park. You are prohibited from removing anything.
Interesting how the smallmouth bass was following you.... they usually are very skittish
Actually it's a largemouth... The jaw extends past the eye.

Camp Arcady on the lake in the 60's we used to fill canteens directly from the lake when on camping trips. Any Bull Shark sittings ?
Ha! Not in the lake… but I have elsewhere…
Going tomorrow for a week, anyone know where to find scuba maps of Lake George?
you made a new fish friend !
Much clearer than Champlain!
The Northern end of Lake Champlain is just as clear.
Where exactly was that airplane?!
And Paul Cornell's monument @1:40. :)
Wait why was it under there
Did Paul pass ??? He was younger than me. 🤥
@nickbonavita1379 He has unfortunately.
Was this Lake George, NY?
Yes off Hearthstone
Katie Jones yeah , it’s so beautiful up there. I live about an hour south and absolutely love snorkeling up there
this diver is the fish whisperer
lol don't tell him...
What is the purpose of that reel of line, the diver is carrying, that goes to the surface?
It’s a surface marker dive flag attached on the surface so that boats know there are divers below. It’s for diver safety.
lake placid movie comes to mind

I had a gopro 3+ with a magenta filter. Vis was great on this summer day. Enjoy your diving!
Thank you!

I haven't been back since I moved across the country. Its very interesting under the lake.
what is the story with that airplane? Crash site or artificial reef ? (Yeah not a reef but whatever)
I am not sure what the story is. I think it was purposely sunk.
