Honestly I'm in the same boat. I was a huge fan of Napoleon Dynamite when it came out so I would have been excited to hear about this movie, yet never did. Definitely excited to check it out now though.
It's one of the most hidden overlooked movies of all time. The guy made Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre then no one watched his third movie. I have this on blu ray and you can't even get it anymore.
@@kc1423 it's an indie film called "Gentlemen Broncos" about a teen who writes scifi stories and a professional sci-fi writer steals a story he wanted him to critique and turned is alpha male hero (Sam Rockwell in the movie within the movie) into the guy you're seeing. @@accuser_of_the_brethren7816 I ended up looking it up and I love it! I am surprised I missed it when it came out, since it is the exact movie my friends and I loved back then.

I’m a construction worker currently on a Boeing Expansion project in St Louis Missouri. There are always 5-10 safety inspectors walking around at all times and daily meetings and my buddy say “surveillance Does… I hate those” when we see them 🤣
this movie is vastly underrated. sam rockwell is boss (give me back my nads!). the hand lotion scene. the snake and blow gun. when he literally throws up in the girl's mouth while kissing. come on dude, jared hess is brilliant.
Why this movie wasn’t a hit I’ll never know. The joy I had at the time when my five year old kid was repeating all the lines. ‘Cyclops there … cyclops there.’ Magnificent.
Watched this for the first time last week and really enjoyed it. Wish they would have gone into more segments of the story like this, as this is so good I just want more. "I'm not seeing it. I'm not seeing results." became one of my all-time favorite lines in a movie.
Jared Hess you directed and created a lot of this movie and Napoleon Dynamite and other is a Mormon and this was probably filmed in Utah, you probably knew that tho hence the comment
So between 7th and 9th grade I did this voice with my friends so much that people thought I was gay. I had to do my regular voice to prove to them it wasn't my actual voice. When this movie came out, people were contacting me and telling me I had to see it and figure out; "how Sam Rockwell stole this voice from me". I watch these scenes and my son and I laugh hysterically. Gay voice=timeless comedy.
I had this same problem in high school on account of how funny (and well) I could do "Gay Voice". People thought I was gay because it was my "thats what she said" whenever someone would give me the opportunity while saying something Freudian. "Gay Voice" is an acquired talent honestly as messed up as that sounds 😆 Most hetero alpha guys use too much lisp with their tongue for their "S's" and go too hard in the paint with the body language for it to work and get a laugh because they're trying to mock the stereotype too hard. It's all about sylabic inflection and using your teeth to get the "S" sound like Rockwell has down so well. I haven't done it around people for many years but sometimes I'll hit a hard ass "it's a friendship Stone" in the mirror while driving or using the bathroom at work and crack myself up. My friends back in the day would laugh too because I'd gotten it down so well but oddly enough, girls HATED it. I was super comfortable with my sexuality and wasn't gay or anything and didn't hate gay people I just thought it was hilarious and still do. I respect you for passing humor endowment down to your kid. Only a few people have even seen this movie but it's one of my favorites. Sry for the long comment.
the outtakes for this movie must be longer than the movie itself. i don't know how any of that cast were able to keep a straight face long enough to shoot this LMAO
I love Gentlemen Broncos so much that I actually deliberately ration my viewings of it because it is so damn funny I want to try and keep it fresh. That works because each time I’ve watched it I still find it so funny. Part of the holy trinity with Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre.
Have I been in an alternate dimension where this didn’t exist? WTF is going on, how did I miss this?
Honestly I'm in the same boat. I was a huge fan of Napoleon Dynamite when it came out so I would have been excited to hear about this movie, yet never did. Definitely excited to check it out now though.
it's up there with the "Forbidden Zone" in that it's a 5 edible minimum.
It's one of the most hidden overlooked movies of all time. The guy made Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre then no one watched his third movie. I have this on blu ray and you can't even get it anymore.
It’s trending because Sam Rockwell is back in the algorithm.
I don't know. This movie just sort of came and went.
Yes I was one of the few people that saw this at the movie theatre and I’m still laughing to this day at Sam Rockwell’s performance. Brilliant!
What the hell is this?

Same guy who made Napoleon Dynamite. If you like that movie then this one is perfect

I used to quote this movie at work all the time... "I'm not seeing it, I'm not seeing results. All I see is a bunch of organic waste."
well its not a clean yeast
The sass he delivers with the "What did he find? the genius" lol
"Its just a fungus-beef sharing a few yeast like properties."
The music overlay is PERFECT! Long live Gentlemen Broncos.
The music in the background is Ray Lynch's "The Oh of Pleasure," from his legendary cassette _Deep Breakfast._ Absolutely godlike music from the 80's.
Sam Rockwell is one of the great actors of the modern age.
Brilliantly demented film.
Still one of the funniest movies ever
This is the most important thing ever posted to RUclips.

Just made a video on this halarious movie lol same director as Nacho Libre and Napoleon Dynomite.
Shrooms. The rest of their adventure is a hallucination.
They need to make a movie of this character.
I rented this back when Blockuster was a thing. So good.
those cyclopses look straight out of krull :)
Was looking for this comment. First thing I thought when I saw them.
i want an entire movie of this. honestly better than all the star wars combined.

I just quoted the “it’s not a clean yeast” while my wife was drinking water
I haven't seen a better movie
It's so cool. Most of Sam Rockwell's are killer. Jo Jo rabbit and Don verdean are a couple more
why do people hate it so much. i cant believe this has a 19% on rotten tomatoes

This is the movie you make with the "fuck you" money you earn from Napoleon Dynamite. Excellent movie in its own right, however.

Lmao the fact that that's Sam Rockwell
😂😂😂
cyclops there, cyclops there, cyclops there

Those cyclops really put in the long hours for their hair care routine, they have gorgeous hair!
It's because of this movie that I fell in love with Ray Lynch's "The oh of pleasure"
You cut the best past part where he goes “Weeee!”
This looks so much like something an AI would make
What? in what way? It looks like a 70's movie spoof... cuz it is... Serious question... is your brain ok?
This bad guy's version of the story is far superior, right down to the music.
Totally agree. It's not even close. In fact if they had just made a whole movie like this it would of been a cult classic easily.
I hardly remember watching this over a decade ago, probably cause I was really high, but I still say “I hate those” to this day.
Omg, I didn't realized that was Sam Rockwell until 10 seconds from the end.

For those of you wanting to know the name of the music it's called "the oh of pleasure" by Ray Lynch.
This looks like Wes Anderson's high school assignment: "make a movie based on Repo Man themes"

Music is "The Oh of Pleasure" by Ray Lynch
Used to hear it as bumper music on Art Bell's Coast to Coast.
