It must be absolute torture when you're trapped in a confined space for hours, let alone days. Even non-claustrophobic people would be afraid of that.
How much time do you use just to see you on almost every video?

I have an irrational fear of being stuck or trapped on an elevator. Still use them sometimes, but I have to shake off a mini wave of anxiety until it reaches the correct floor and I know I’m safe.
i got stuck in an elevator alone in a hotel when i was 12 for an hour. One of the scariest moments of my life. Still scared of them today
I was trapped in an elevator alone yesterday for about 30 minutes, this was horrible

Okay, but consider how many people you know who've been harmed using an elevator vs how many people you know who've been harmed falling down the stairs. 😂
@@themartinebunny I rather take the physical harm than the psychological harm.
I’m terrified of elevators because I got stuck in one. Being stuck in a small space like that without a way out reminds me of traumatic things I’ve been through so it affects me more deeply.

Cheaper to raise than a child.

I knew a guy in a wheelchair too who got stuck in an elevator on the 13th floor. After ten hours they determined it wasn’t going to get fixed anytime soon and proceeded to lower a harness and rescue personnel down from the 23rd floor and lift him up and out. He lost his few remaining marbles from that as he was not only paraplegic but had claustrophobia and a fear of heights. Poor guy lol.
How dare you leave me on a cliffhanger. What happened to the girl who was stuck with a psychotic person in the elevator?

I haven't used an elevator for 2 years now. I've always had Cleithrophobia, and have been stuck in an elevator once before, as well short moments of no movement on the subway. But in 2018 I got stuck in an elevator with my friend, and had to press the onboard Panic button. Had an engineer not happened to be nearby that day, we were told we could've been stuck there for many hours
I no longer use Elevators. On the plus side, stairs keep me from being lazy
You guys have gotten better at your infographics ngl
Definitely a true taste of your patience
Ah, yeah, elevators, I have a lot of experience with it. Twice I was on the 4rth floor at college with my wheelchair and was stuck for a few hours on the 4rth floor before 8-10 firefighters came to help bring me and my wheelchair down by stairs. It was twice a real rescue. The college building had only 1 elevator and it happened both times at the end of the day so they couldn't send man to repair the elevator before the next day. Luckily I live in Belgium, and some profs of the college stayed with me.
That sounds awful and I’m surprised that their aren’t repair companies on call 24/7 for those exact kind of situations unless there are but just none around where you were.
Elevators is an interesting topic considering I remember 3 episodes based on those dangerous trolley carts that move up and down in buildings.
I've seen RUclips surveillance videos of men trapped in elevators for a long time. There's one about a man with diarrhea trapped in an elevator for 53 hours, it was very hard to watch!
Fun Fact: Cleopatra was born closer to the making of the IPhone then the building of the pyramids

RUclips has fallen to an all new low
I remember a couple of years ago some worker on a cruise ship was killed when he got crushed by the elevator. Pretty horrific.
Just about as horrific as how many of the passengers on the RMS Lusitania got trapped inside its elevators as it quickly sank.
3:03: “The elevator jammed just above the 13th floor.”
It would be heaven on Earth to be trapped in an elevator for 3 days with Belle Delphine.
Yikes…
Christ how much did you pay for her bath water.

I was stuck in an elevator for nearly half an hour. The bad thing was that I had hauled it full of boxes and I had a tiny area where to stand with my toes tipping. That was horrible. My legs began to cramp and that half an hour started to feel like an eternity.
Is there a scientific name for a fear of elevators?
elevatophobia
Best RUclipsr
no sorry
my edit: so you think I would forget...
you still said first or something 😂
This gave video gave me flashbacks to when i got stuck in an elevator for 4 hours when i was 7
My best friend from college was in an older building for a doctor’s appointment with her kid, and when they went from the 2 to the 1st floor, the elevator suddenly dropped. She pushed the open button...nothing happened. Then she heard a weird noise, and water started filling the floor of the elevator. She managed to pry the doors open and wade through the water filling the basement with her child....the elevator had fallen onto a main water pipe. This happened in New Jersey in about 2008. Only a few minutes after she went back to the doctors office and reported the accident, the water had reached the top of the basement stairs. She had a tibial plateau fracture from the drop.
CaptianSparklez would have a panic attack watching this
Me and a co-worker got stuck in an elevator at about midnight on a Friday. my phone was down at my desk and their phone was dead and we are basically the last people in the building. We tried to pry open the doors but we were both super tired from working all day, so we just slept the night in the elevator and then in the morning we were able to pry it open. We were stuck for a little over seven hours, it wasn't too bad but I can't imagine three days.
Never skip leg day and take the stairs. The chances of you getting trapped or dying are lower than the elevators stats.
I remember this story on the local news
I was stuck in an elevator for8 hours I'm not typically claustrophobic but after an hour you start to panic I made it a point to not take elevators because of this particular situation
Thanks for this! I'm taking the stairs
Third case for me, thankfully the elevator at school never failed on me
Do you want a lot of head bobbling or only a little?
Infographics Show: yes
My question is if the delivery guy was able to call through on the Intercom, wouldn’t the operator have been able to tell that he was calling from an elevator? Surely there would have been something on an operating system or computing system to state where the emergency call was coming from (I.e the address and the lift number).
I THOUGHT THAT TOO..
Thanks for saving her😆😆

I remember when I was 14 I got stuck in an elevator for 2 and a half hours. I was scared shitless. I was freaking out and I remember I nearly fainted. After getting out of the elevator I didn’t use elevators for an entire year.
Thanks now I have a fear of elevators
What your grandpa describes detention back in the day
The elevator in my college dormitory always shook and made noises. I was always afraid it was getting stuck
Seriously?! None of these elevators had ceiling access hatches?
You think those are unlocked anyways? Last thing people want is people who dont know how elevators work scurrying around on top of a broken elevator car.
you would be much safer inside the elevator, waiting for it to be fixed than climbing on top of the elevator and risking falling down the elevator shaft
What'll that do?
