The elevator designers and engineers are so stupid to just allow elevators to get stuck between floors with people trapped inside who need to be rescued. The politicians governing cities with elevators are also stupid not to make a law demanding such a feature to be built into every elevator. I guess they are too busy making new laws for fining people or putting people in jail for calling a so-called transgender person with the pronoun that he or she doesn't like.
