If the elevator is at a very high altitude when it begins free fall the speeds it reaches would be even more higher. Unless stopped this would lead to a devastating crash onto the floor.

Boricua 787 they’re speaking french, german, Spanish, English, Norwegian, and Japanese Idk how many they actually know but it’s not common in any country to speak that many languages fluently
learning a language well only takes around a year or two if you are smart and/or experienced. I'm experienced and so for example, recently I learned to read and understand Russian in a month or so. This lets me speak russian (not fluent) as well as have fairly good grammar (make mistakes ~30% of the time). Another few months and i will be fluent. Then it will take 4+ months to actually learn proper grammar, differentiate between formalities, informalities, slang terms, ect to a good extent and such. If they went with learning to speak these languages the "quick and rough approach" they probably only learned to communicate in it with good (enough) grammar. That alone can only take 5 months or so per language, but if you are learning languages sequentially and practising the ones you already know regularly in between of learning your focus language, then you actually can learn (VERY well) multiple languages in a very short period of time. I'd estimate ~7 languages in 5 years at peak efficiency. I think people just make learning languages overrated. Sure, it's an amazing ability to have, but it is not at all difficult, the hardest part is grammar which in itself is not that complex if you go for "memorising" rather than "understanding" of grammatical concepts. There are many patterns and similarities between languages as well, so the more languages you learn, the easier it can get if you are good at spotting patterns and such. Therefore it is actually easier than it sounds knowing multiple languages. Just to be clear: I'm saying it is easy with experience to learn a language, not without. Only reason i am finding russian easy is because i know TWO very similar languages to it, this makes memorisation of the language itself VERY easy. The grammar is the only unique element, therefore the hardest, but not that hard if you're smart, or learn in a smart way.

But note: schools almost never teach you in a method that is to YOU most effective. So don't rely on your teacher to teach you a language unless you are a genius. And most aren't so the only way is to actually learn at HOME. Learning conditions are often better at home and therefore with an appropriate learning method, you will study a lot more effectively than in class. Funnily enough, when i did german class i wasnt really that dedicated so i understood little, but god damn experience alone literally lets you get C grades on a language you barely understand lmao.

I think people just make learning languages overrated. Sure, it's an amazing ability to have, but it is not at all difficult, the hardest part is grammar which in itself is not that complex if you go for "memorising" rather than "understanding" of grammatical concepts.
There are many patterns and similarities between languages as well, so the more languages you learn, the easier it can get if you are good at spotting patterns and such. Therefore it is actually easier than it sounds knowing multiple languages.
Just to be clear: I'm saying it is easy with experience to learn a language, not without. Only reason i am finding russian easy is because i know TWO very similar languages to it, this makes memorisation of the language itself VERY easy. The grammar is the only unique element, therefore the hardest, but not that hard if you're smart, or learn in a smart way.

@@soupzy Then you are not learning in a smart way, or have no experience with more similar languages, or you are just learning wrong.
But note: schools almost never teach you in a method that is to YOU most effective. So don't rely on your teacher to teach you a language unless you are a genius.
And most aren't so the only way is to actually learn at HOME.
Learning conditions are often better at home and therefore with an appropriate learning method, you will study a lot more effectively than in class.
Funnily enough, when i did german class i wasnt really that dedicated so i understood little, but god damn experience alone literally lets you get C grades on a language you barely understand lmao.
