I' m going to Shoprite first thing tomorrow morning. To think that I spent the whole day today thinking of the beans that I had to blend in order to make my moi moi tomorrow ( the blending is the worst part). This video is just incredible .
What a coincidence! I used ramekins for the first time earlier today for moinmoin and it was quite messy some of it overflowed into the pot of water while steaming. I will definitely try this method next time. Thanks for sharing as always!
Hello fantastic video, quick and easy to understand. And excellent quality. I couldn't find the recipe for quantities on the link provided though. Could you please re-post the link. Thank you
hello sisi, thanks for your videos, i am now able to cook nigerian foods in the uk.thanks to your videos, the best is your egusi soup so good. coming to moi moi, what type of beans is the best to use { black eye beans, cow peas beans, adiku beans, oloyi beans, brown beans etc. please do answer.
Hi, thank you so much for the recipe..I'm totally going to try it out. But, what if I don't want to bake, can I just use the traditional pot steaming method?
Wow can't wait to try that method. I always beg my Nigerian friends moi moi . Because of the laborious process of peeling bean and wrapping. Your the best👍
wow very easy n quick too. thanks u 're doing a great job and your recipe are like my meal time table now always looking forward to something new from u. GOd blesa
I tried making moi moi today using beans flour. I also used ramekins though i put it in directly in a pot of water which I placed on the stovetop. I noticed though that the water quantity per the recipe in your blog made it watery so I had to add more beans flour to thicken it and reblend till i got the consistency I wanted. It came out very well. I would try moi moi next time using actual beans but still with ramekins..thanks
Thank God! I can finally make moi moi without headache. Never knew beans flour existed. But all the different types of pepper made me scared. Yoruba people are blessed with good tongue. Small pepper makes me start scratching my head loool! =))
Nice one Sisi! I make mine the same way except, I place my ramekins in a baking tray that has water in and put it in the oven. The water will just come up about halfway up the ramekins. Also for those that don't have ramekins, you can use metal take away containers instead, they are good as no washing up afterwards (disposable) and also they have lids you can use in the oven instead of foil. PS I love all your videos. Please keep it up!
Sisi Yemmie it didnt get cooked after 1 hr. I just had a laugh and said to my husband "Sisiyemmie lied to me ooooo!"😂😂😣. Please what temperature did you cook at?
I tried this method but it didn't come out moist. Not fish or cray fish was added to mine. Did I leave out an eggs. Yours look so soft and moist. Tell me what I leaving out to get that moistness.
@goodgirldiary, the 'kini' are called ramekins, also called pate moulds, dariole moulds, creme brulee dishes, souffle dish etc. usually made of stoneware, tin, porcelain etc. Most good stores stock them.
I’ve gone to your website/blog, I find no recipe for moimoi there. If you’re going to make a how-to video about food and be successful at it, you’ll need to put measurements and temperature requirements. Without these, it’s just not complete.
Very simple 💕💕 and i enjoyed the hailing lol mine will almost take me a whole day o. I never select beans, washing and selection nko? grinding? ah I will just cook beans porridge 😂😂😂 thanks for sharing 😍😍
I clicked on the link provided above to get a list of ingredients for moi moi but it took me to a page with other topics , then when I searched for moi moi, it took me to another video - 😔

Hello can I use milk tins to bake moimoi in d oven?
Sisi Yemi o, I'm making moin -moin now, just a quick question 'what's the purpose of that water in the oven?
Temmy's diary it steams the moinmoin to avoid the drying which is possible via baking in the oven , keeps the moin moin moist
Why the water below the cup
