I thank your mom so much because she's the only one that have mentioned that it's the chlorophyll in the leaves that adds sweetness to the moimoi ,others keep saying that moimoi wrap in leaves taste better without explaining why
Finally someone using the Matt side of the leaf and not the shiny/glossy side. The cracking and stripping of the midrib not only gives flexibility but also gives an extra intense infusion of chlorophyll into the moi moi. Good job 👍🏾
Been waiting for this ever since I saw the mothers day Q&A Episode Can't believe I'm the first one to arrive at this party!!! Una well work oooo Plus mommy is always beautiful Thank you for just being phenomenal

I'm a new subscriber here from Ella Suitable TV , u are really beautiful.🥰💖. I have always wanted to know how to wrap moimoi with leaves o, I always use nylon to do it, thank God Ur beautiful mum is here too🥰💖🌹
Hello Vicky, welcome and good to have you join our community 🤗. This video will show you how to wrap moinmoin easily. With a little patience you should be fine.🥰
You don't have to use leaves. You may use small foil containers, ramekin dishes or any small dishes. Alternatively, use foil sheets cut and folded down to approximately 4 by 6 inches. Fold opening thinly 3 to 4 tines to seal well and avoid spilling into pot. At each corner triangularly, approximately, half an inch be folded down. This is to further help to hold fold in place.
I always love your cooking, but please be yourself and appreciate the way God made you stop all the makeup, artificial hair, artificial nails etc. You are wonderfully made by GOD Shalom, God bless 🙏
The water should be enough to cover half of the first set of moinmoin...not cover it fully. You should add the water in bits as you cook so please don't be too far away from your pot. Let me know how it goes😊.
Wow this is so beautiful 😍 thanks to mum and you🥰.. But please what was beneath your pot, those green sticks before placing the moi moi and why did you put them there
Love and Gratitude Sister Ify I live in the states can you please tell where I can find these ingredients. Everytime I see African Food I get home sick for Africa. Where are you located? I love our food just can't find the ingredients. Please help.
The more I watch other ppls food, the more I believe we are all one BIG BIG family living in different countries. Moimoi in Hawaiian means to sleep. So if someone says “I’m going moimoi” they are saying “I’m going to sleep.” Or if you are trying to put your son to sleep and refuses then say “Boy go moimoi”
@God is my help... Most times it changes the color of the moi moi to a darker shade over time and sometimes you might not get the authentic taste of the moi moi.
Preparing it with the skin of the beans gives a rough texture. Although there's another recipe-completely different-with the whole beans which has a shafty texture ..its called a difference name which I can't remember right now
My mom also would not use anything else but leaf for Moi Moi😂 No matter how much I try to persuade her to use Moi moi plates, she’d still prefer her leaves
Has any one managed to figure out just why we have to remove the skin of the beans? The presence of all the foam in the washing water shows the presence of protein, which we are washing off so the moi is just carbs, minus the fibre from the skin.
@@juicyoskitchen349 so it's just aesthetics really? Not that it will affect the taste? (PS: how many people's moi-moi actually make it to the fridge?😜)
I am sure you have eaten worse at restaurants and other people’s house without even knowing. If she did not do this presentation, you wouldn’t know she has long nails. I have cooked with long nails for over 38 years and has gotten the best compliments from people. I seasoned my food much better than those who had no nails. I wear gloves when I clean and seasoned my food. Some people has no nails and their food is tasteless and nasty. Don’t judge and as the saying goes “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all!”
Stop artifical nails please
Mommy is so sweet & wise ❤
Love your presentation.
Thanks for the leaves wrapping class.
I really like the love between you and your mom I'm glad you appreciate talent she passed to you I enjoyed every bit of your show.
Thanks so much🥰
Wow i love this moi moi looks so delicious and very good for breakfast thanks for sharing this recipe beautiful sister ❤️🤤😋
You are welcome 😍
The moin moin looks so tasty 🔥. I will try making one.
Wow, great job. I wish I could make it like this
That your kind of long fixed nails 💅 is not advisable to use while preparing food. My suggestion.
Am new here, I enjoyed every bit of d video.... Thanks Ify

Kudos mama Ejima...pls where do you get your cookware? Gorgeous colors .
Hi I would like to try to make moo moo but I can't get those leaves where I am, can I use banana leave instead or will it change the flavor?

So will the water be very small? Will it cover d first set of moimoi on the floor of d pot or not. I will try this out
The water should be enough to cover half of the first set of moinmoin...not cover it fully. You should add the water in bits as you cook so please don't be too far away from your pot. Let me know how it goes😊.
Gorgeous! A bean and mackerel tamale, what textures! I can almost taste it in my dreams🐝
What happens to the ginger?🪄
It was blended alongside the beans and other ingredients.
Nice!!. Even with the long nails, you cooked your meal well. Great woman, thumbs up for you.
I really love the way u cook and explain, hoping to be a better cook like u one day 😉
Thank you Ezinne and I am rooting for you ❤️
@@Ifyskitchen thank you 😘😘
Your Mum is a beauty. Like mother like daughter.
Lol...thank you Feyi 😊
Kindly give us measurements.
Like how many cups of water do you add to 3 cups of beans?
Good question
Wow this is so beautiful 😍 thanks to mum and you🥰..

I love our food just can't find the ingredients. Please help.
You can get dem in African stores
Is the oil compulsory?
Yummy, I can't wait to try this recipe. Glad to learn moinmoin wrapping with leave from you
Mom, is beautiful. This is my favorite meal. Thank you, for sharing this recipe. :)
the way Ify makes cooking easy, thanks for sharing your best. That's from a lovely heart
Thank you ma❤❤
I went and blended mine with my blender and it burned it😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Mummy we greet you ma, Ify please what's the name of the leaf you used because I can see that it's not banana leaf. Well done
It's popularly known as moimoi leaves. I don't know any other name😥
The best way wrapping leaf moimoi I have seen. Thank you.
Beautiful recipes sis
Love every bit of the video
Well done 👍
Thank you for been a motivator and motivation ❤
Cooking with elegance!
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Always cover your head
Can you make moi moi with the skin of the beans left on?
This is protein to the highest degree.good teacher thank you
The more I watch other ppls food, the more I believe we are all one BIG BIG family living in different countries.
Moimoi in Hawaiian means to sleep.

That's cute. I love languages
Great to hear that. 😂😂😂
mmm.....so good!, like a god up there just dropped moi moi from the heavens and we only just found out about it.
Moi moi can go salty really fast. Be careful with all the ingredients mixed in batter
Look so yummy I love how you prepare it 😋
YOUR MOI MOI IS THE BEST I HAVE SEEN AND YOUR INSTRUCTION WAS ON POINT,👍 I MUST FOLLOW THESE STEPS THANKS FOR SHARING.
You are welcome Cyndy and thank you for watching.
I'm a Ghanaian
What's the reason for the skin removal
@God is my help...
Most times it changes the color of the moi moi to a darker shade over time and sometimes you might not get the authentic taste of the moi moi.
@@duruchinenye4240 I see

Why u sat on soffa with ur shoes😮
Looks delicious 😋
Aunty Ify, I'm coming for my wrap, it looks so yummy. 🏃🏃🏃🏃
Ok come quick 🤣
What else can you use as the base underneath???….and, please what are those green things you used underneath please
Well done,l can see u use the manual bushy mix pulse one to remove the skin of the beans, does it mean the digital one cannot cannot peel it
If you blend the beans a little before removing the skin, the nutrient in the beans is wasted
Gosh this recipe was so simple. Pls ma do you have the amounts of the ingredients listed somewhere?
I appreciate your mum mentioned that the chlorophyll in the leaves brings out the test in moi moi wrap on leaves.
My mom also would not use anything else but leaf for Moi Moi😂 No matter how much I try to persuade her to use Moi moi plates, she’d still prefer her leaves
I think its a thing with moms🤣
God bless you mummy. You are sooo beautiful 😻. I am a new subscriber
Has any one managed to figure out just why we have to remove the skin of the beans? The presence of all the foam in the washing water shows the presence of protein, which we are washing off so the moi is just carbs, minus the fibre from the skin.
You can always use your palms to peel the beans. I prefer that to using blender. And you can even use a small mortar and pestle.
If you don't remove the skin of the beans it will turn dark dark when stored in the fridge.
@@juicyoskitchen349 so it's just aesthetics really? Not that it will affect the taste? (PS: how many people's moi-moi actually make it to the fridge?😜)
@@senoradelvita I make a lot to store in the freezer. Can't be washing beans everyday o😁
@@Ifyskitchen Oh I see.
Your mum is absolutely adorable. Reminds me of mine. That dress looks superb on you.
Ify, I am coming to your house to eat moin moin. Thanks for sharing.
Please what is the correct name for the leaf/leaves for Moin Moin?
I love this . My moi moi game has just been upgraded
Pls do you mix your grinded beans with cold or hot water?
Good presentation, but the nails are a big turn off. Long nails and food dont go together!!

You didn’t show us when you blended the ginger….
Can I also add garlic to mine?
I blended the ginger with the beans. I don't usually add garlic to mine.
I mean the measurements of the ingredients?
Too many proteins in one meal.
Proteins from the beans, fish and egg.
You people are rich oh!
Beautiful pls what's the recipe?
Pls how do u preserve the left over?
Look yummy... your mum is so beautiful
Awwww thank you Maymay🥰
