Reminds me of the way Gwen Stefani was always singled out and the rest of No Doubt was kinda ignored.
At the time she was married to Mark Nash, who was the drummer for a band called PFR. She was never married to anybody in Sixpence None the Richer.
@@carlosv.6131She was married to Mark Nash at the time. He was in a band called PFR and also kind of worked for her then indie label, Squint. They divorced sometime in the late 2000s. He was actually on the cusp of joining Sixpence at one point in the late 90s because the band was about to lose their drummer but when “Kiss Me” took off, the drummer decided to hang in there a bit longer.

I don't think an interviewer/host would get away with being so creepy these days, especially the touching. Funny how we notice it now, but didn't realise at the time. Very predatory.

I have to say it’s quite refreshing to witness the change in perception. I needed the reminder (especially lately) that society has in fact, progressed enough that we recognize unacceptable & abhorrent behavior like this. Even when it feels like we are at a standstill and we are pulling at teeth for betterment in the world, it’s comforting to see these baby steps being taken. We have a long road ahead of us, but at least we are walking.👍

I very much appreciate her courage and her faith. And she effortlessly forgave Letterman for being crass, even though he already knew exactly what story she was going to tell. She walks the walk. God's Love is amazing.
Faith is just an excuse ppl use for when they have no good reason, like actual verifiable proof, for what they believe. Might as well have faith in Bilbo Baggins or the Hamburglar.

The song was played so much that it just fell right out of my guitar when it was out. I still play it and it always makes me smile. Such o' sweet and in- nocent expression of the wonder of young love. One of the last of it's kind. She and the band are 'Diamonds'. The world could sure use more like 'em. N I think she's still adorbs.

This interview upped my respect for Leigh Nash, big time. I know my husband was critical of their so-called "secular" music, but quite frankly, she & Slocum who met in church have bridged the secular/Christian gap in a very smooth & God-like way. Non-religious. Because Christianity isn't religious.

On Leigh’s TikTok she posted about how she was smitten (using Frank Sinatra’s Love and Marriage as a sound posted on 1.4.22) while doing this interview. So I think it’s safe to say that when she said her “dreams are being fulfilled” paired with her face at the end, it wasn’t her being weirded out but probably more shocked she said that out loud and that he was entertaining her with those hotel comments (it does seem creepy don’t get me wrong, but I also think she was surprised he would express “interest”)! 😂 I could be wrong because I’m not Leigh though lol
This was during Dave's creepy days... After he was funny and before he became bitter.
And, why wouldn’t Ms. Nash be attracted to David? After all, he is an especially charming and handsome man.
PS The beautiful and talented Leigh Nash is now a member of the legendary 10,000 Maniacs along with guitarist Matt Slocum. I saw the band last week and the new lineup is outstanding!

Leigh Nash.... nice lady lovely voice. One of the many hits that came and went from good female musicians in the 90s.
They're kind of a 1 hit, maybe 2 hit wonder, but there is no shame in that. They made their mark!
Kiss Me is a national treasure!
And that hit song is not even one of their best. You should check out the whole album, plus the ones from before they were famous.
David letterman is an honest to goodness legend, he's not just some late night talk show host. Along with a few others he changed late night and comedy back in the 1980's for years to come. Leigh Nash is a very nice and talented person. People who think Letterman was being "creepy" just don't get it, grow up for Christs sake
I've been listening to SNTR and they were awesome! I'd only listened to a few songs, There she goes & Kiss me, in fact, but there are some other songs that amazed me! What's more, I've been studying English at a terciary - with a British accent- since a few years (or I'm kinda trying, lol) but I think the British accent is so difficult for me and I found that Leigh Nash has a beautiful accent, I know she's from a place near Texas but, can somebody tell me more about it? I can't find enough info about that accent, it's so neutral, soft and easier to speak for me.
Her accent isn't really a heavy, southern style accent that you would expect somebody to have, who are originally from Texas. Her accent sounds more like a mid western, USA type accent, more than anything.

That's not why she was uncomfortable. Did you listen to her at the beginning? It was like her dream to be there and she was super nervous. And the eye-rolling she did at the end was probably for herself.
