Do you have any tip other than scratching posts and cat trees on how to get them out of this? Or is is just something that they will eventually grow out of with some encouragement? Thanks in advance!! 💖
Hi! Cat trees and scratching posts are definitely essential. You can also try soft paws: www.chewy.com/soft-claws-cat-nail-caps-40-count/dp/136561?Soft%20Claws&gclid=Cj0KCQiAhs79BRD0ARIsAC6XpaX2hX9Dwd3hHfOm32y0N-3PVJH4XwZcEtSPmUb_15OahDw0fEctPosaAkhoEALw_wcB. They are little plastic covers you can glue onto your cats claws. They are 100% safe for your cat and non toxic. They really helped me to train my cats to not scratch my furniture. :) Good luck with your cats!
My cat only finds fun in fighting me. He wants to wrestle my arm but doesn’t use claws and doesn’t bite hard. He doesn’t like cat toys. Only likes being on me, wrestling my arm and legs. Doesn’t hurt me. Which is nice of him.
So I adopted an older cat (11-12 years old) a few months ago during lockdown. But now that I'm going out more I'm worried about how she's feeling being alone. I've tried getting her cat toys and a scratching post but she doesn't seem very interested. She does like to sleep and loves a cuddle and will sometimes play with some string or ribbon. Does anyone have any suggestions of how I can enrich her life more? I don't want to let her out as she was a stray before and I worry that she might get freighted by something and run away and get lost. Any suggestions are welcomed

I live with roommates so my cat stays in my room while I’m at work- my roommate has a small harmless dog but better to be safe. When I come home I let the cat explore the entire house. Saving up for an apartment deposit/ bigger emergency fund because I do feel bad that my cat is in my room 8-9 hours a day :/ I put lot of toys out his pet water fountain cat scratching post and his Wu bby and bed out and after I feed him wet food in morning I put out dry food just in case before I leave for work
There’s 3 outdoor cats in my neighborhood but there’s also a Forrest with coyotes in my backyard my cat walks in my balcony and backyard porch and parking lot I closed the balcony on her and she was scared
can someone please let me know if it is okay to have a indoor and outdoor cat living together. I need to know Asap and any advice or precations/ measures that I would need to take
Some people can't have their cats to be outside. Yes its natural but risks like diseases, fleas, other cat fights, people stealing the cat and many other things can happen when you let out your cat. Some cats may not even like to go outside. Just make sure to play with your cat a lot so they get the regular exercise they need.
@@qeriyupp yes i agree and its true some cats don't want to be outside. i have 5 cats they are all outside cats the oldest one is 5 and not a single one of them has gotten fleas, diseases and etc but cat fight are normal and nothing to worry about. if another cat comes near "ur cats" territory they will protect it and fight, you should always let it explore outside like taking it on walks or getting a catio they will ebe more pleased in life then
My cat is scared to go outside. If I accidentally leave the porch door open he won’t leave (thankfully cuz he’ll prop run away) also getting declawed soon.
Cats can be perfectly happy indoors, and if that is not enough, leash exists. Have you considered how many of those birds that "cats should chase" die? Have you considered how many of them are protected? By letting your cat out, you're releasing an invasive animal. Not only that, but that invasive animal is being fed and gets medical attention every time it gets hurt or sick. And there are millions of them.
@@siccens6168 outdoor cats have, statistically, significantly shorter lifespans than indoor cats. their needs are different than the needs of dogs or humans, they do not need to go outside to be completely fulfilled. they get killed by cars, people, dogs, and wildlife and are also harmful to the environment by acting like an invasive species disrupting the normal environmental function of both prey animals like mice and birds and their natural predators. just because you /think/it's cruel because you want to go outside, doesn't mean it is cruel. make sure you do some research and let's avoid anthropomorphizing our cats and putting them in danger.

We have two other outdoor resident cats as well but they honestly seem scared of everything. I'm not letting my own cat outside I'm sorry.
