When Deryk played for the Moose Jaw Warriors, I interviewed him about what it was like being an enforcer in the WHL, and to this day it remains one of the best interviews I have ever had, maybe even the best, and it was maybe five minutes.
You won't come across a more honest and classy player than Deryk Engelland. That he gave this address was worthy of the kind of guy he is.
One year later we will never forget 10/01. We are still Vegas Strong ❤️❤️

As a Vegas native, i can tell you, after THIS, it exploded. Our city was devastated after the attacks. But things like this brought us together on another level and we were able to lean on our teams. Golden knights are everywhere in vegas, the hype is real #vegasstrong

I'm A Long Time Maple Leafs fan ( Born in Burlington, right in between Mississauga and Hamilton, great little city) and A Vancouver Canucks supporter, as I've lived here near in Vancouver for most of my life. Honestly, this almost brought a tear to my eye, seeing such a passionate city rallying for their team, and for their city ( You don't see that in Vancouver) and the speech was amazing good luck Golden Knights, Hope you have a great year, with love, #VegasStrong
From 2009-2016 Engelland was easily one of the best if not the best fighter in the league. It’s strange that he doesn’t throw down anymore. Thoughts?
For the sake of his family I’m glad he has taken it easy on the fights now that he’s older. I still remember him pummeling the Sheriff Colton Orr of my beloved Leafs.
