I have had my new pfaff 710 machine for just five days and it is a bit intimidating. This was so helpful! I will be watching this video again and again.

I too am in the uk. Due to covid I wasn’t able to Have a demo in the shop. Thanks to you I realised I wasn’t threading the bobbin correctly, I was putting the thread under the lip rather than in top. Looking forward to seeing the difference. Thank you for your very clear video x

Thank you for this! I have had mine for over a year and realized I have filled my bobbins wrong and I will attempt the self threader that never seems to work! Great info on the decorative stitches too! Looking forward to any and all videos 😎

Thank you so much for this great tutorial. I am on day one of my new Pfaff 710. I now have much more confidence to continue and not so nervous. I look forward to many more times with yourself. Like the person below me I was not so happy with this machine but am sure it is because it is so different to my Singer. I now have to work out how to attach my quilting table. Do you have a video for this subject?

Thanks for that very informative video. I Just bought the 710 and was a bit scared of all the fancy buttons and functions. I was used to sew with an old machine from the 60s from the GDR times, that my grandma would own. So no lets get modern :)

Thank you for such a thorough demo. I’ve just bought one of these, I’m really missing the manual foot lever but I suppose I’ll get used to it. Does anyone else think the stitches are occasionally a little wonky? Like not in perfect alignment? And the thread cutter is so clunky and noisy. I thought mine must be faulty but yours is noisy too. Not really enjoying this machine, but I’ll persevere with it.

I'm using one in a shared atelier and I'm driving people bonkers because I can't for the life of me figure out how to turn of the beeping sound every time I change a setting. I'm a very technical person!

Charlene, thanks for taking the time to make this video. I have a Pfaff 4.0. I've had it for a number of years already but I still can't manage the decorative stitches. I've tried every setting and combinations, changed thread, changed needles, used a lot of different stabilizers which cost me a mint already, etc. and I still can't do it. I get frustrated and skip that part of the quilt. A few days ago I thought I'd give it another try. 3 days later and I'm no further ahead. My ants look like pollywogs. Gibbled pollywogs. I think you gave me a few ideas to try. I guess I'll take it back to the dealer after that. Whenever I take it in for maintenance the technician leaves a little bit of material under the needle with a perfect picture. He does it, why can't I? I'm crying right now, well, almost.

I was thinking of buying this machine for 25 cm arm space but after watching the video I know for sure it's not what I need.
I want a machine for piecing and quilting and I didn't see anything about it.
    Thank you anyway.

Thank you for this tutorial. Just a question about the fancy stitches...I use them alot for boarders on projects, and notice that the top side looks much prettier than the underside. Is there something I can do to make both sides the same? Look forward to your next tutiorial.

Can you tell me what happened to the Pfaff 4.0 Quilter's Expression. I am considering buying a 720. I live in Australia. Information is not spread well and my local store moved away. Trying to buy bits for my Pfaff 4.0 QE is bad in Australia. Very disappointed with the support for my machine. Thus may consider buying a different machine where there is more support.

Hello. How to check how many hours the machine worked. I am asking about this model.

  • @stephaniewillems9433

Is it correct that when I place my needle down at the spot where I want my buttonhole to start (I find it easier to see the placement that way) that it often malfunctions and keeps sewing straight backwards and doesnt start making the buttonhole? It has happened many times to me and I am wondering if there is any way to fix it. I only used the automatic buttonhole foot and the standerd button hole setting so far.

Hey! I am considering buying this sewing machine and I was wondering a few things...Can I sew leather with it? I want to make a leather jacket in the future. Can I use thicker sewing thread? I would appreciate a lot your reply.

    • @soundsewingpfaffcreativese9900
      @soundsewingpfaffcreativese9900  3 года назад

I’m so sorry we didn’t reply sooner! You can sew up to a quarter inch thickness of leather and yes you may put heavier thread in the machine, however we recommend a secondary bobin case for heavier weight thread. A Teflon or roller pressure foot is highly recommended as well.

Got as far as free motion options, tested it, but despite hours of attempting, I can't get my machine to work again. Just up and down on the one spot! Help???

How frustrating! Have you used the lever at the front to bring feed dogs back up ? Have you disengaged the free motion option on the programmes & re engaged your idt lever ?
