Thank you for the video on the Pfaff 720. I have this machine and absolutely love it. Every time I watch a video on this machine I pick up a new tip or two on using all the functions this machine has.

The IDT was actually original to machines before 1984. I have one that we purchased in 1979 and it already had the IDT. Great video, just thought you might like to know.

You are correct! Thanks for the catch. It was introduced to the first electronic machine is 1984. It was actually first put on mechanical machines in the 1960s I believe.

Well, there is some truth to that… Singer, Pfaff and Viking are all made by the same Chinese company that purchased the brand name..

I just bought this machine and only thing I don't care for is the loud grinding noise from the thread cutter, and sure is present in this video. Not sure why it sounds like this but other models in the pfaff line do not sound like that. Even my baby lock brilliant which is a $1000 machine is much quieter. anyone else notice this?

NICE TUTORIAL. Question I put my single needle plate on to quilt light fabric, it works great BUT when I took it out and put in zig zag plate ! I wasn't able to use my needle position . ? FRUSTRATING !
Do you know what page in the users guide . I thought when I removed single hole plate it would automatically return to zig zag stitch..
    Thank you
    Maureen

Sorry for the long response. We were out of this model and just got it back in stock. YES, when you take the straight stitch needle plate off of the QE 720 it should turn off the straight stich safety. When you pop off the straight stitch plate you will get a message
"Straight stitch needle plate has been removed. Stitch widthsafety is still active. Touch OK to deactivate stitch width safety. Touch cancel to keep stitch width safety."
Make sure you are pressing the OK button and not the X. If it still will not turn off when the plate is removed, I would contact your local dealer. I hope this helps.

    • @SewALot

Unfortunately those are the synchronizers engaging and can’t be turned off. Unless, yours is making another noise. Send me a video of you starting the machine and I will confirm for you. sewalotonline@gmail.com

Olá. Nao gostei. Muita conversa e pouca demonstração na prática. A linha Singer ainda continua franzindo as costuras. O monograma só foi visto uma letra "E" no display. Máquina caríssima, sem condições de aquisição pelo q foi mostrado.
