Had the exact same problem on our 2015 Sienna. Tried different switch block units but they were not compatible (even though the supplier said they were supposed to be). Decided to use your guidance and low and behold, the exact same plastic push pin was dirty and hanging up. Cleaned it/all the ferrous actuating pads and decided to place a drop of Kroil on each of the push pin shafts to preclude future issues. Works great now! Thanks!

Thank you. I had the exact same problem...intermittent but the stickiness was causing the issue.
